This all started from my corsair 500d case not fitting two 360mm rads, an AIO for the CPU and the rad for my RTX 3090 K|NGP|N hybrid card. I determined I needed a bigger case to fit them both thus came the 1000d. Plenty big enough right? Sure. Actually it was too big because hoses on the AIOs were too SHORT! Then I decided to research and understand what this 1000d case really was. Of course this thing is targeting custom water cooling. A year later we have the bohemoth.$13,029.51 -

James in Westmont, IL was amazing in helping me talk through some of my ideas. I love Microcenter. Here is a link to my PC on youtube, (https://youtu.be/Z0sr5fQY9cs https://youtu.be/KxD6K993FrQ ) as well as its current parts list: Lian-Li der8auer 011DX MidTower Case i7-10700k - 5.2 GHz locked all Cores at 1.4v Asus Rog Strix z490 F-Gaming Motherboard 32GB (4 x 8) G-Skill TridentZ RGB 4000Mhz - CL15-15-15-36 at 1.5v NZXT Kraken x73 360mm AIO (6 total fans in Push/Pull) Aorus Waterforce Extreme 2080ti w/ 240mm AIO Watercooler (4 total fans in Push/Pull) Corsair RM1000i PSU 5TB Total NVME PCI-E Storage: 1TB Samsung 970Evo Plus Boot 2TB Sabrent Rocket 2TB Inland Premium + 256 GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD and 128 GB Kingston HyperX SSD + 8TB WD Black External 7200 RPM USB 3.0 6GB/s Backup-Game Drive Watercooling setup: It took a LONG time to customize the Lian-Li Dynamic 011 to accept the x73 Kraken 360mm AIO placed with the tubes going down - The reason for this is due to having two AIO radiators. By mounting the 360mm Rad upside down, there is no chance for air pockets to form inside the waterblock. All air migrates to the top (which is the bottom) of the radiator and stays there. This is the same effect as having the radiator mounted at the top! *However I wanted the radiator placed BEHIND the 360mm opening in the case, so ONLY the 3 fans are on the inside (mobo side.) To do this I had to spend hours hand grinding the case down to allow for room for the 2 AIO water cooling tubes to clear. Besides sweat and tears, there truly is blood inside that case... from my knuckles! Not only is this a cleaner look, but the 3090 will fit and clear the QL fans on the front of the x73 Kraken, because the radiator is mounted in the back. - All four fans on the x73 360mm Kraken AIO radiator have been replaced with 2 x Corsair ML (non-RGB) Pro 120mm fans on the backside of the case in push, and 2 x Corsair QL RGB 120mm fans on the front in Pull. This rad is intake. My Gigabyte Aorus 2080ti Waterforce Extreme with 240mm AIO watercooler has also been modified. The two stock (and utterly terrible) Aorus fans were removed from the radiator and replaced with 2 x Corsair ML RGB Pro 120mm fans on top in Pull and 2 x Corsaire QL RGB 120mm fans on the bottom in Push. This is mounted on top as exhaust. This has allowed me to boost lock the GPU at 2.145 Ghz at 1.05v completely stable. PC 2 I made for my spouse to work on and also play pc games with me. Most of the games I play are found on Steam, Blizzard, Epic Games, LoL, Valorant, etc. I'm a OIF/OEF Vet myself, my teenage kids wanted to get into PC gaming (they're "upgrading" from consoles/Fortnite) and I come from an automotive repair background so putting together a PC is trivial in comparison to an engine or fine tuning suspension for an auto cross track. Anywho, future upgrades to include the new 6800 XT or some 3080's were available but I'll deal with having 5700 XT's for now as a place holder. Almost returned both these NZXT cases (still within 30day window) and buy 2 new Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini cases + 12*LL120 case fans but too lazy to take apart both PC components JUST to have the NEW case.$3,267.86 -

When flying back to Massachusetts, I didn't have a PC to game on, and I just felt with the new generation of parts, it was time to build a new one. So, I took the leap and decided to start compiling a new, upgraded rig for when I would fly home! The main components are an i7-10700k and a MSi Gaming X Trio 3070 at the heart of the project. I was lucky enough to get a 3070 through notification at around 3 in the morning. Thus, my 2020 "away" build was born and has been a delight to game on since!$3,201.94 -

After years of running a completely enclosed case with no rgb whatsoever, I decided that I was going to go all out on my next build. I play a variety of games, but my favorites are RPGs, Sci-Fi, and FPS. My main rotation right now is Destiny 2, Doom Eternal, The Witcher 3, and Red Dead Redemption 2. I decided that I wanted to upgrade everything about my pc for the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 game. I have been patiently waiting for years for this game, and with the release of the 30 series RTX graphics cards it seemed as though the stars had aligned. I started planning this build in February when rumors of the 30 series cards began to circulate. Little did I know that the world would soon descend into chaos, with massive lockdowns and shortages on electronics. On top of that, I work in the radio-pharmaceuticals industry, and was deemed an essential employee. I found myself working 12-16 hour shifts due to staff shortages, and each night I would come home and check the online stores to see if any of my pc parts were available. Slowly but surely, parts began to trickle in, and I began assembly in August. I was methodical in my building process, routing each cable to its destination, bundling and unbundling cables as I added more components. I wanted the pc to be an extension of myself, to stand out and show the hard work and love that I'd put into its creation. As it neared completion, it dawned on me that I had, in a way, embraced the cyberpunk lifestyle. Man and machine, working into the early morning hours, tinkering and improving, making sure everything is perfect. And so, the build is now complete. The only component that was reused was my EVGA 2070 Super, but I'm still hopeful that I can get my hands on a 3080 before the release of Cyberpunk 2077.$2,791.84 -
