I always wanted to build a pc ever since 2019 when I first got into fortnite competitive. All my friends and teamates had good specs while I played on a i7 3rd gen with a 580. These are the games that are played the most frequently: FM24 LoL NBA2k24 NFL24 Undisputed ARMA Squad Other games being: Mafia Remastered FC24 Avatar (the game received on the video card) RDR2 Cyberpunk, in these games I did not exceed 10 hours each, but I want to mention that I did not have any problems with the PC. a personal problem would be the software of the video card (after 20 years it is the first AMD video card), Adrenaline looks very bad to me and I receive errors almost daily, but that is more my problem from what I have seen.$1,688.92 -

This gaming PC was made after a few of the family's windows laptops were damaged. We have a mac at home, but wanted a dedicated Windows PC at home. I used one of the Micro Center Intel bundles as the basis for the gaming build (The $250 one with the Core i5), then picked out parts to build on top of it. A good thing for my current budget was that I had various storage devices at hand for this build. I did decide to get the case elsewhere as I found an open box deal for a case that normally costs $100. I am happy with how things have turned out for this build. For upgrades, I plan on buying more sticks of ram to double the memory capacity and I am in the middle of getting be quiet case fans for the desktop as the case only had two pre-installed and were quite loud and rumbled a lot. I know the motherboard supports the current 14th gen cpu's, so I may do that whenever those go down in price. And if necessary, I might change the CPU cooler if the current $20 one craps out in the future.$772.92 -

I like the Fractal North case because you can just look at it and be pleased after a very expensive purchase decision. I wanted the inside to be blacked out since you can't really see the inside of your case all the time, and the only RGB I really want is the Geforce RTX logo from my graphics card. Decided to be conservative on the specs I go with, albeit the 7800 X3D bundle is too good to pass up. I wanted to save the rest of the money for a very nice (and expensive) QD-OLED monitor, preferably, something like the MSI MPG 321URX, which is sadly still not in stock. Other than that, Noctua fans keep my PC quiet without any annoying frequencies, which is useful since I use open-back headphones. 4 TB main drive should last for a while, and cover all my storage needs.$1,807.35 -

Built this AMD 8700G PC for coding and running programs that I need for my mad science lab, but looks like it will be my wife's PC instead. She will use it for general PC activities including some casual 1080p gaming (Secret World Legends, Entropia, and others that I don't know the names of). A few years from now, if her old Nvidia/Intel based gaming PC breaks down then I may overclock this one and/or add a video card, or maybe even drop in a new CPU. Am using the heat sink that came with the 8700G CPU, and during a bit of gaming the temp never got above 32 degrees C so I won't be upgrading to water cooling. It has very low power use and it is whisper quiet.$1,335.90 -

I do many things with a pc(Play Games, Run LLMs, Write Code, ETC,)and I got sick of my old laptop(i5-10300H, GTX 1650 TI mobile, 8gb DDR4 2933mhz.) So I decided to build a brand new powerhouse, in which I am writing this right now. Now that I have built my own rig at this point, time to give you some advice. First and foremost, if you want the absolute best PTP(Price To Performance)PLEASE do not give in to any of those prebuilt pcs, they are built and sold for a profit(which I, in all means respect.)Like I got a 4070 TI Super and Ryzen 9 7950x3d, With the amount that I spent I could only get an i9-13900kf and 4070 TI from NZXT and from Build Redux I could only get a 4070 TI Super and 7950x with only 16gb ram(in NZXT and custom I got 32gb). We rearranged out living room and now have all of our electronics in a minimalist tv stand. As a result, the odd man out was the bulky full tower desktop pc I had been using hooked up to the living room oled tv. But, to view the glass as half full, this rearrangement meant I got to do something I've always wanted to try. Namely, to build a complete pc in the same size as a gaming console. Performance wise, there were no real corners cut because I chose a case that accommodated a relatively large graphics card (EVGA RTX 3070). In the bustling town where I grew up, there weren't many options for computer enthusiasts like me. Sure, there were a handful of small computer shops scattered around, each offering a mishmash of components, but none could compare to the tech haven that is Microcenter. My journey into the world of building PCs began amidst these humble surroundings. Armed with determination and a modest budget, I scoured the shelves of these local stores, piecing together my first rig. It wasn't perfect, but it was mine—a testament to my budding passion for all things tech. As I tinkered with my creation, learning the ins and outs of hardware assembly, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more out there, something beyond the limitations of my small town's offerings. That something turned out to be Microcenter. The first time I set foot in that gleaming megastore, I felt like a kid in a candy shop. Row upon row of pristine components stretched out before me, gleaming under the fluorescent lights. It was a paradise for any PC enthusiast, with shelves stocked high with the latest processors, graphics cards, and peripherals. But it wasn't just the sheer variety of products that captivated me—it was the expertise of the staff. Unlike the often clueless employees at the local shops, the Microcenter team were true professionals, eager to share their knowledge and offer advice on even the most obscure tech questions. Armed with the resources of Microcenter and the guidance of its knowledgeable staff, I embarked on my next build with newfound confidence. Gone were the days of settling for "okay" parts; now, I had access to the best of the best. With their help, I carefully selected each component, ensuring that my new rig would be a masterpiece of performance and reliability. As I sat back and admired my completed build, I couldn't help but marvel at how far I'd come. From humble beginnings in those small-town computer shops to the pinnacle of PC building excellence at Microcenter, my journey had been nothing short of extraordinary. And as I powered up my new rig for the first time, I knew that the best was yet to come. At its core lay the beating heart of my creation, the Intel i7 8700k, a processor as reliable as it was powerful. With its six cores and twelve threads, it was the engine that drove my digital adventures, powering through the most demanding of tasks with ease. Surrounding it, like loyal soldiers standing guard, were 32GB of RAM, a veritable army of memory, ready to tackle any challenge I threw their way. And nestled snugly within the belly of the beast was a lightning-fast 1TB SSD, its silent whispers promising swift load times and snappy system responsiveness. But it was the crown jewel of my rig—the RTX 2070 SUPER GPU—that truly set it apart. With its ray-tracing prowess and blistering rendering speeds, it transformed every pixel into a masterpiece, bringing my virtual worlds to life with unparalleled beauty and realism. Together, we embarked on a journey unlike any other, a journey into the heart of gaming and streaming glory. From the darkest dungeons to the farthest reaches of outer space, we traversed virtual landscapes with skill and determination, our every triumph and defeat broadcast to an eager audience of fellow adventurers. But it wasn't just about the games—it was about the connection. With my powerful rig, I streamed in crystal-clear HD, my every word and gesture captured with stunning clarity. And as I interacted with my viewers, sharing stories and swapping strategies, I felt a sense of camaraderie unlike anything I'd ever known.$886.96 -

Mostly new parts but bought CPU and case with fans second hand and a few things on deals or with coupons savings money. Putting it together was very easy after watching videos and reading manuals. Just need to take time and be firm but delicate with parts. As for bios settings, using Intel POR helps keep everything cool and playing games with no hassle. Fans don’t get very loud when going full blast so generally a very pleasant experience using the PC so far.$2,994.91 -

My objective was to build a rig on the premise of cost efficiency vs. having the right hardware to get the job done. The problem was temptation. Man that 4090 comes to mind! I did choose to go the AM4 platform's route though. It is a solid choice in my view because it is AMD's best product vs. price to date. Performance turned out to be really good as well. Although it is an older platform I'm still playing games like God of War, Cyberpunk, Doom Eternal, Horizon, and Call of Duty III at more than satisfactory levels. The graphics are still eye-catching and that 6800 XT is a beast and was a great choice for this build! Temperatures are great when gaming as well. I did stress test it with Cinebench R23 and AIDA64 and those results did not even approach borderline.$2,028.62 -

I've been wanting to build a new PC for quite some time now, and seeing all the Fractal North builds really pushed me to build one of my own. I set a budget of $1600 for this build and the build was about that much after taxes are included. I went for the white case because most of my furniture is white or wood so it fits in perfectly. I've been using it daily for about a week now and it's been great! Super fast and quiet. I love it!$1,479.92 -

Built around the Microcenter 7800x3D bundle with the Gigabyte B650 Gaming X MB and G.Skill Flare X5 RAM. I wanted to go with something similar to the Lian Li case but found a much cheaper case from a brand I’ve never heard of but achieves the same look. Really just wanted to get something with glass panels to show off all the Arctic RGB matching fans. Also found a cheap CPU cooler that was a dual tower design to keep the 7800x3D cooled.$1,674.95 -

Got the best APU for AM4 the 5700G with Noctua L9a. Always try to stick with Asus Strix Motherboards so got the best ITX available the Strix X570-I. Paired it up with the HyperX Predator 64GB 3600MHz and Samsung 980 Pro 1TB. I mainly use this as a HTPC connected to my LG OLED and use something called Moonlight/Sunshine to stream my games from my main build. Highly recommend anyone who already has a high end build and still wants to be able to go to a different room and stream their games from another PC without moving the actual PC around.$590.00 -
