While I’m not into a lot of performance hungry games, I still wanted something that can run any game I throw at it. I saved tons by buying RAM, cooling, and CPU used online. I also managed to find an Aorus Master for $110, which was a steal, even though it doesn’t have CPU OCing. I didn’t want to go too crazy with RGB, but when you keep your lighting at white, blue, and purple, it looks pretty slick, and not like something a 10-year-old drew. I haven’t gotten three of the fans yet, but my temps are honestly doing just fine without them, and I love the NZXT cooling, because it keeps my temps low without being too loud. I’ve been using this for CAD, some 4K gaming at relatively high settings(the GPU is doing fine), programming(hence the i9 and 32GB of RAM), and work/online school. No problems, except that I was considering going for the pricier 6950(which is $200 more expensive, but has 150% the performance of the 6750), and I might eventually upgrade my GPU. Also, the SSD is the slowest m.2 SSD on the market, but it’s still faster than most HDDs, and it was $30. If I were to do it again, I would go for a Samsung SSD for maybe $60, with much better performance. I don’t mind the SSD too much, though.$1,397.91 -

It started off as a low end computer because I didn't have much money to be able to afford what I desired. And the only reason I was able to afford those PC parts was because I decided to sell some of my electronics. Those electronics include, a Nintendo Switch with all of its games and a few other things I can't remember. And after I save up enough money and bought all my parts from Amazon, only because I didn't know about Micro Center at that time. I know it sucks, and I feel bad for myself for not knowing about it. And that was the worst time for me to start building a computer since it was 2021, when the prices were too high. So my first parts were a Ryzen 3 3200g CPU, an AsRock B450M Pro4 motherboard, Viper rgb 8 GB 3200 Mhz ram, Crucial P2 500GB ssd, Aresgame 450W power supply, and a cheap MSI case. I didn't buy a GPU until 5 months later when I was able to afford one. That was when I found out about Micro Center, so I bought an AMD Radeon RX 6600 MSI MECH 2X GPU for around $460. From there on I started to slowly upgrade my PC. I changed my ram sticks to Crucial RGB 2x8 16GB 3600Mhz. I bought an AIO from cooler master, which lasted me all those months until just recently I upgraded it because my new CPU needed better cooling. Next I upgraded almost everything with the money I saved up from one of the jobs I worked at. I bought a new case, Motherboard, CPU, and new fans. The case was a Fractal design Meshify C, the Motherboard was an MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus, and the CPU was a Ryzen 5 5600g. I was finally able to play more demanding games, which is good because I love playing Campaign open world games like Far cry and Cyberpunk; and multiplayer games like Call Of Duty. And I was not done, I still wanted better gaming quality and performance. I then decided to go big or go home; Once again I saved up money from work and bought an EVGA RTX 3070 Ti, but I wasn't pleased. So I saved up a little more and bought a EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra Gaming 10Gb GPU for the low price of $770 US. And i'm not even joking, that price at Micro Center beat every other retailer, so I was very happy. Also another reason why I was able to afford all the upgrades was because I sold all my old parts to friends or other people, and I would help them put the computer together if they needed it. Then I changed my Ram again to some G.Skill Trident Z Rgb 4x8 32Gb 3200Mhz CL16 because why not. And so this year I made my last PC upgrades until I feel the need to change it up. I received an email from Micro Center of a CPU & Motherboard combo deal for an Intel platform, and I've been wanting to upgrade my CPU so that was my chance to which I took. And that was what caused me to change my AIO to a 360 mm for much better cooling. I also forgot to mention a few other parts I added and changed, which were a new case and more SSD storage. I will have all my recent parts listed, so there is no need for me to list them here. Lastly, the name Rem comes from a female from one of my favorite anime, at first sight she isn't so great but over time she becomes a lovable person just like my PC. And her hair is blue which is my favorite color. Finally, all of this happened because I was bored of playing games on console and I wanted to become better since I wasn't making anymore progress on controller. And I was inspired by Linus Tech Tips to build my own rig. I learned almost everything from his YouTube channel. I want to thank you Micro Center for all the amazing deals and for reading my rant of my long journey that lead me here.$2,276.85 -

I had a previous custom built pc and it was showing signs of age as the games were unable to run efficiently and it started to slow down and made loud noises. Boot time took around 3-5 minutes. So I decided to use some money I had saved up and buy the best components I could find to build my best custom PC so far. I didn't hold back at all and decided to go with the thermaltake p3 open air chassic with dual water cooling of the cpu and gpu through a hard tubed circuit. I made this masterpiece to play mainly Rocket League and to use it for programming as I am a Computer Science major student and need a powerful computer to be able to handle programs I might need to run. This pc can boot up in 10 seconds, shows very low temps almost always even under heavy gaming and can run almost any game with the powerful 3080. The problem I created is that the rest of my old, 7th gen Intel build ended up being a sever bottleneck to the performance I should have been getting from the 6750 XT. Consequently, I pretty much replaced everything else in the build so that I could have a machine that complimented the video card, not weigh its performance down. So far, so good! I build this desktop with the goal in mind to take (almost) all the components from my existing build and assemble them into a mini-itx based system. Of course, to do this I needed a different motherboard so I went from a z690 to a b660. I don't plan to overclock so the features lost from moving away from a z690 motherboard don't really affect me. This particular itx case (NR200P) comes with both tempered glass and vented aluminum panels as options. I chose the vented panel for better temperatures. I posted my previous build before saying I would upgrade some parts, but I went ahead and replaced mostly everything. I went from a Ryzen 5 3600 to and Intel 17-12700k. This processor is freaking nuts. Micro had a bundle sale on it with a Z690 Tuf motherboard and ram. Continuing on, I went from an UpHere air cooler to the Lian Ali Galahad. This aio works wonders with this cpu, 75 degrees and high loads, 30 resting. I also went from 6600xt to a 6750xt. For 100 dollars more, it's worth every cent. It just performs so well with games in general. I average 124fps on high settings with 2k res on Hogwarts. I added 16gigs of more Ram for multitasking purposes, it also looks better with all four films filled up. Lastly, I added a mini monitor for temps and whatnot. I generally got it cause it looks cool. I absolutely want to go with custom water cooling within the next couple of months but I think before I do I want to change the case to an nzxt H9, this case is a little small for that at the moment. I built this computer to be my main gaming and productivity machine for my time in uni. The goal was to put as much power into as small of a form factor as possible without going crazy on the budget. This is why I chose M-ATX as my platform for this build. It would have been easier to fit something like an NR200 on my desk, however, the shrunken motherboards and psu's were just too expensive compared to their more normal sized counterparts. There are definitely some quirks. For instance, the AIO can only go in the back because there are clearance problems with the GPU, RAM, and VRMs in every other configuration and its only a 120mm because it came from a previous build. Also, the mesh version of this case wasn't out when I got it so the temps get a touch toasty under load. I think the future upgrades are getting 32GB of ram and possibly a new case like the Fracal POP mini which is around the same size but a little more optimized for larger GPUs.$1,323.93 -

Lastly I'm also playing FPSs like Overwatch 2, and Warzone.$1,563.86 -

This is also an update on the changes that's been made to this PC most notably the motherboard and GPU. I went from the MSI 6600 XT to the Powercolor 6750 XT. Thank You to Microcenter for providing me with both. The next build will be on the AM5 platform.$1,716.92 -
