The foundation of the build began with a Micro Center bundle featuring the ASUS ROG Strix X870E motherboard paired with the AMD Ryzen 9 9800X3D processor. I also acquired a Lian Li DK-07 Desk PC chassis from the same source to serve as the centerpiece for the setup. For the GPU, I selected the ASUS TUF RTX 5090, currently utilizing an Alphacool water block while we await the official TUF-specific release from Watercool. The memory consists of a 128GB dual-slot kit, cooled with a Barrow block. The CPU is equipped with a Bykski (Granzon GAIS) block, ensuring optimal thermal performance. This build showcases a variety of components from several leading water cooling manufacturers. My goal was to create a truly customized, high-end system without being restricted to a single brand—while, of course, adhering to best practices such as metal compatibility. This is very much a dream build for me. I initially experimented with other water cooling components but found the result unsatisfactory. After a complete overhaul, I arrived at this final configuration, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.$5,574.92 -

I got some great deals on Micro Center and assembled a mid-high-end gaming PC that has plenty of power and potential for upgrades. It was the first PC i've ever built, and though it was expensive, I got incredible performance for the price by building it myself. In UE 5 editor I get 120 FPS at 1440p Ultra with Ray Tracing, and in Age of Empires II Defintive Edition I get over 340 FPS on 1440p Ultra. I got a solid 2 TB WD Black SSD, couldnt find that on the parts listings. Don't mock my trashy cable managment, I know it's bad and will be redoing it very soon. A funny thing is I didn't realize was that my GPU weighs about 4.5 pounds, and I don't want my fancy ROG mobo to sag obviously, so I made a TEMPORARY GPU brace out of some old LEGO bricks that were lying around.$1,644.93 -

For a long time I had been using my laptop on RTX 2050, which was not enough for me, till I decided to build this PC.... For a long time I had been using my laptop on RTX 2050, which was not enough for me, till I decided to build this PC. Initially I wanted to buy RTX 5070 TI but its disappointing availability and price just changed my mind so that I switched back to AMD and bought one of the most beautiful RX 9070 XT from XFX Mercury. It is already my 4th AMD graphic card and I have not regretted buying any of them. Even though I actually think that XFX Mercury is overpriced a little in terms of cooling/noise, lack of new 1 x 16-pin (if compare with Nitro+) and OC versions of this cards just don't make sense. Better just reduce power limit for 10% and enjoy if you have OC sample. The other parts as you can see I bought white as well. Even PSU is white. And someone could ask me why I am using air cooler with such powerful CPU as Ryzen 7 7800x3d. Come on people that is 95w processor, it is OK with air. Yes it is noisy a bit but not annoying. Btw I tried putting AIO (Artic liquid freezer 3 pro) in that case and It just hasn't fitted because of thick radiator I guess.$1,962.92 -

Even though it took me 3 hours of round trip driving, it was easily the best option for me as it knocked out my processor, motherboard, and ddr5 in one fell swoop. And so with a nod to anyone else who ever played/watched competitive Smash, I call this my wombo combo. In Rainbow 6 Siege (1440p resolution) I am able to max out my 185Hz monitor. I removed the bottom and middle drive cages and mounted a fan behind the front door for extra cooling if needed to make the case more suitable for a modern build. It actually works really well, and even though I've had this case for well over a decade and have acquired many other cases since, I still never get tired of looking at it. The current build inside of it is a 9800X3D along with 32GB of Trident 6000mhz memory and an RTX 4090 driving an Alienware 360hz 1440p OLED. I enjoyed building this old school-flavored speed demon.
