I finally have saved up enough money and have a stable place to live that I now wanted to finally buy my first desktop to enjoy what I've worked for. I went all out when I went there. I was going to go for the 4070 ti when I went there, but the guy said he had gotten the 4080 super in that morning so I went with that instead. I'm planning on grabbing a 5090 when that comes out to max it out fully. turns out, those sold out really fast so I was able to put in a 4090 Refurbished now as for 01/30/25. Now it's got a ASUS TUF 4090 24GB VRAM and I got 2, ASUS ROG 27in 4k OLED monitors now in place too.$5,260.91 -

Wanting a top of the line PC since pubg was released recently I have been able to build my dream PC with the relatively the best parts money can buy. This is my latest (as of 2024) Sim Racing, Photo Editing, Streaming, Powerhouse PC. I wanted to create something unique but functional for my purposes. Case selection and issues with Case: I loved the MSI 700R case the moment I saw it but realized that I would need to modify it a little bit. Just like Cooler Master cases, MSI does not believe in locating the 24-pin Grommets parallel to the actual connectors on MBs. I had a friend of mine make a custom cutout which would allow me to swap the factory grommets to the new openings. Secondly, the included vertical GPU bracket is not square. In fact, it was off center in two dimensions. This required a bit of handy dremel work and I also had to try different riser cables that would allow me to play with the angle as much as possible. Finally, this case is not really friendly with custom loop cooling despite the advertising between MSI and EK for this case. The shroud that is designed to cover the area below the D5 pump is totally useless and borderline impossible to install and then remove once the system is together. The first time I assembled this system I installed the shroud and quickly realized I would be in for trouble when it comes time to draining the loop. I was a bit wiser for the second build up. Now we can see the distro plate better, I have access to the drain valve but the PSU basement could be seen. I created a custom cover for this area and used double some 3m double sided tape to adhere the cover. MB and EK specific WB for Asus Hero. EK strikes again with issues with their tooling. I had to file down one of the heatsinks that comes with the new EK replacement WB.$3,840.33 -

I play many open world games like Cyberpunk, Starfield ,Fallout 76, RD2, and Horizon. My 4070ti was struggling giving me the stability and performance that I desired. Ended up winning a reddit giveaway for a 4090 that I wouldn't be able to fit in my current build. After struggling to sell the 4090 on eBay, I decided to just build a whole new rig to accomodate it. Don't worry, my 5600G build went to my dad so he'd have a proper office PC, and I'm hanging onto my 6700XT in case the 4090 ever decides to off itself (*knock on wood*). I’m happy with the way it came out except for some of the wiring due to the TUF PSU having very malleable cabling. Not a bad thing I’m just inexperienced. Also, I wanted an AIO with an LCD screen but the NZXT and Ryujin still sit at a high price. I despise the large pump on the rug aio, but love the pump head despite not having a screen. This is a high end 4090 gaming build that is technically a "Budget 4090 Build" where I use some open box items and used components to save money. I am upgrading from a PC that is 9 years old and wanted to build a new one that will last me another 9 years. This is a gaming rig that can handle almost anything even though I mostly use it for productivity. Still in the process, but I will get back into streaming content online soon playing random games and drawing while hoping to do some game production. My goal is to fully utilize this PC with my 4K monitors. Besides that, it looks cool to look at! What a wonderful journey and it all started from buying the Microcenter Bundle!$4,090.69 -

I built this PC in the midst of the GPU Shortage, with parts salvaged from a prebuilt gaming machine. There are no original parts left in the case at this point, but it all started with migrating the build from the original case to the Lian Li Lancool II for improved airflow. I'll also say that case-swapping a prebuilt is more work than building from scratch. From there, over the next two years, I would go on to upgrade the power supply, RAM, GPU, AIO cooler, and added Lian Li RGB Strimer cables for extra FPS! Just two days ago, I swapped the original motherboard and CPU for one of microcenters AMD bundles and now this thing is in its penultimate form. I plan to get rid of all of the RGB and put this born-again-and-again beast into a Fractal North XL case, as much like this PC has matured over the last few years, so have my tastes...even if it means I'll lose some FPS due to lack of RGB.$3,192.90 -

First build ever using it for gaming and some SolidWorks when I need to work from home. Going to change case to something a little more tasteful and get cablemod stealth wire and extensions and just extra frill to make it look way better. The case is GREAT at keeping the components bathed in cool air, but it's just not the greatest looking case. Thinking about hardline water-cooling for the CPU and GPU that way I can keep the 7900X and 4090 cool and make the build look way cooler (If I do it right that is...) The only parts reused from my last build are the Sabrent Rocket 2TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD and the Thermaltake Core P5 case. My previous build was water-cooled, but I am returning to air-cooled for this build. Water-cooling adds weight and the drain and refill maintenance cycle is taxing. My old temps were in the 40°C range under load with occasional peaks up to 50°C. This system runs at 60°C under load with peaks up to 70°C. I view this as sort of a "sleeper." Not a lot of RGB or fluff, but with an AMD 7800X3D CPU and Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, it runs everything as well as can be run .. today. My last build lasted four years before it couldn't run the latest games fluidly. I'm hoping for around that with this one. Check back in four years. The case is a Hyte Y40; Hyte collabs with Hololive limited edition case. It came with a bunch of accessories. The case itself, it's OK. Doesn't have a lot of space in the back, so I just gave up on cable management and shoved everything underneath as much as I could. Y40 is a high quality case but over price. They should reduce the price and sell riser cable separately. Vertical GPU looks nice but it is too close to the panel. I'll install it horizontal later. PSU is a bit overpowered. Pair with a super ultrawide OLED display. The purpose is for pure gaming, no work, so and manage and remove all the windows and motherboard bloatware, and the build is super smooth, quiet, cool, fast, and efficient. The AMD processor has 16 physical cores and 32 logical cores not so much for productivity, but for increased headroom and future proofing for when games begin to inevitably make better use of it in the foreseeable future. Although with 32 logical cores, some good productivity is on the table, but not recommended if using with an OLED monitor for risk of burn in due to static images. This is meant only for gaming with headroom to spare. I will admit the $300 AIO liquid cooling system is slightly indulgent, but I didn't want to risk it with expensive CPU, and there were not a lot of reliable reviews and testimonies for the cheaper coolers at the time, so it would have been a real gamble to go with one of the cheaper ones.$3,589.93 -

This is my first time dealing with a water cooled gpu and overlooked the case so you will have to have the vertical mount from Lian Li if you plan to run this gpu in the o11d evo case if you don't want the glass pushing against the tubes. The glass panel will shut but I don't like putting stress on the tubes. The pc will easily play Cyberpunk (without rtx overdrive), hogwarts legacy, and Horizon 5 at 100+ fps on max settings with Ray tracing on a 3440x1440p monitor. The GPU overclocks pretty easily and scored very high on 3d mark port royal. I have added a picture of the best overclock setup I could figure out so far but I am still pretty new to overclocking.(just watch JayzTwoCents' review of the card as he is way better than me at that) The case is very easy to cable manage and has a removable hdd bay that sits right above the power supply. However, if you plan on using the hdd bay I would not recommend the Corsair shift power supplies as it gives you very little room to access the cables. The vertical gpu mount does take a couple weeks to arrive from amazon so if you want the build completed all at once I would order that in advance. Once the gpu mount arrives I plan on getting the final 3 intake fans installed and will then be completed.$4,254.87 -

Coming from a mid range computer that was build when I was still new to the whole building process, this was a big leap for me. Since STALKER 2 was officially "re-announced", I decided I needed to build a beast of a computer, since I wanted to experience the best looking and best performing version of this long overdue game from my favorite game franchise. Beyond that, I've been playing my other favorites like Borderlands, DayZ, and a heavy modded Fallout without a hitch. Peripherals are A Steelseries Apex Pro full, Steelseries Aerox 9, and Sennheiser X DROP PC38X. Monitor is an AOC 27" 2K with 144Hz refresh and 1ms response. I installed 2 front A-14s, and they can get loud. However, I have curved them so they can still push more air than the 2 NF-A12 exhausts while still keeping things cool. Of course, on the rare chance it gets too toasty, then the noise is a compromise I'll have to make. One more note, I used an old android phone as a resource monitor to top it all off.$3,585.50 -

I also wanted to build something a little different, that's why I chose the Masterframe Case. I play a lot of different games including MSFS2020, Xplane12, DCS, Baldurs Gate, and Destiny. I also do amateur photography.$5,931.83 -

I come home after a long day from work and go online and show the world how to suck at gaming. I do this while sippin whiskey and chillin with a bunch of people at discord that also sucks at gaming. sometimes I just stare at my desktop and wonder why I built such an expensive heater.$3,759.79 -

Now not only do I have a desktop, I have a small space heater*! Overclocking (underclocking) and fine grained timing/voltage control has been incredibly fun! Even if stability testing is incredibly boring. *Undervolting the CPU along with reducing max PPT and reducing GPU power draw while increasing clock and memory speeds has been incredibly helpful in this! As noted below, GPU will comfortably hold slightly above 3GHZ clock! Totally bent a few fins while installing the CPU cooler (only slightly and very easy to straighten back out lol). The build is meant to be a workstation and gaming machine! I'm a huge fan of real-time ray tracing, so was naturally really excited about what the 4090 can do and have yet to be disappointed! Once the fan curves were optimized the machine runs near silent and only picks up a little bit under load! This may not seem like much, but coming from a laptop that would hit 40+ db under load, its so peaceful! Pricing note: I got deals on a bunch of the items! (tax not included)$3,615.91 -

What games? All of em, champ. We dabble in everything around these parts, and the 4090 rips and tears them all to pieces. Also, the Fiji water is absolutely crucial for maintaining peak performance during the build process. Stay hydrated bros. P.S. The builder didn't include all of my SSD's, so I'll list them. 980 Pro 1 TB, 970 Pro 1TB, 870 Evo 2TB, and 870 QVO 2TB.$3,327.44
