Since I have luckily got the bundle deal ($599.99 for 7900X+ASUS MB+DDR5) from Micro Center, I have decided to upgrade my Gaming PC from previous Intel 10th gen with DDR4 Ram. As I mentioned, this build is mainly used as gaming. The typical games I usually play are: 1. Elden Ring 2. DOTA 2 3. WOW Classic 4. Hearthstone 5. Fortnite 6. Others.... My previous build was i9-10850K + RTX 3090 + 16GB + 512GB + 2TB. The new build is 7900X + RTX 3090 + 64GB + 2TB + 12TB (for saving my favorites, you know...). One favorite part is the ultra cool Lian Li Odyssey X case and adding RGB fans in the case. Check my build photos for reference. BTW, I used a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE CPU Air Cooler in the beginning (shown in the build photo) but later on I found it's too loud somehow compare to my liquid cooler. So, I switched it to the 120mm liquid cooler from my previous build. I hope to upgrade to 360mm one in the near future.$3,807.80 -

Some games I love playing are fast-paced FPS games like Overwatch, Apex Legends, and Valorant. It feels so good to finally be able to play at a high refresh rate after playing at 60 Hz for so long! Some future upgrades I would love to make are to add a couple more fans to improve the airflow and get 1tb or 2tb nvme ssd as a game drive.$1,519.92 -

It's overkill for the games I play currently but it's sure nice to only wait a few minutes on a Civ VI turn reload. In hindsight, I would have gone with an Nvidia GPU for the CUDA cores to get quicker image processing for some of my productivity tasks, but overall I'm very happy with the build. The current GPU has awful thermals when under load so I'll be replacing the thermal pads soon. I also am annoyed by the reset button placement on the Fractal case and have bumped it a few times, would recommend unplugging the pins to other case owners.$1,795.90 -

My mane goal with Redshift was converting the processor and graphics card to AMD and this build accomplishes that. In the previous build, I mentioned that Redshift was the only desktop computer in the household, but not anymore. As for Redshift, that computer still has the same components from the last time that I updated it and has become a computer that my sister uses often. Purchased another Wi-Fi 6 router to expand my network for Wi-Fi 6 devices.$2,762.42
