This is my first gaming PC build. The wiring was very messy. After confirming everything worked, I tidied it up. I purchased all the components over the last 10 months or so. Everything was purchased when on sale, and I was able to save a ton of $$ by doing that.$1,649.95 -

It warmed my heart as I was going through the process since it reminded me of the times fixing computers with my dad while growing up. The only original part left is the case, which I'm hoping to change to something with a tempered glass side pannel. I use it for gaming, school work and watching shows/movies/youtube. I play lots of games now, but it was originally built because I wanted a better framerate in minecraft.$1,650.94 -

Mainly The Witcher Wild Hunt 3, Elders Scrolls V: Skyrim, Cyberpunk 2077, Death Stranding, and Horizon Zero Dawn in no particular order. I also do quite a bit of CAD work in SOLIDWORKS, as well as 3D printing using the Cura Software. I may uprgade to a new case, this one currently restricts airflow to the graphics card too much beacuse there is almost no room between the graphics card and the case panel, also the Acrylic side panel gets scratched way too easily.$1,651.51 -

I was wanting to build a new midrange PC for general use, video editing, and some gaming. I went with AMD for the first time over Intel, due to the CPU upgrade path the AM5 socket should provide into the future... this is my first build in 13 years, so I want them to last! I am reusing an Nvidia RTX 3060 video card that I bought last year for my old PC, but I went with an overly powerful Corsair 1000w PSU so I can easily upgrade to a more powerful GPU at some point in the future. I wanted a clean look, so I picked the Lian Li Lancool III in white as it has great cable management and it pairs nicely with the white Deepcool LS720 AIO cooler. I chose this cooler based upon its overall positive reviews.$1,651.59 -

I have been testing it over the last few days before showing it. I am very impressed with this setup! It was running Destiny 2 smoothly at 2K resolution and ultra graphic setting. The entire building process was hassle less. The pop air case made my build very easy to install. The only problem I had was the gigabyte Waterforce x AIO CPU cooler. It was defective out of the box, so I had to exchange it for a new one.$1,651.96 -

After spending a couple months in lockdown, I realized my non-gaming laptop with a faulty eGPU wasn't going to last me much longer. I had been interested in PCs for a while and in May 2020 I decided to go for it. I mostly use it for gaming, school work, and some general computer stuff. Turns out the used GTX 970 I got bundled with my eGPU on eBay was the problem so that lasted about two weeks in my build. I found a used RX 470 4G for about $80 in June (just before prices skyrocketed) and unfortunately haven't had the opportunity to pick up a 30-series or RX 6000 GPU, but for now, it gets the job done. I've done a few small upgrades over the last year and a bit including going from the stock Wraith cooler that came with my 3600 to the Noctua U12S, Asiahorse cable extensions, an additional 1TB SSD, 16 to 32GB RAM, and a better PSU. A new GPU is next on my list (just like everyone else), ideally the RX 6800XT Midnight Black. In the future, I want to try my hand in an ITX rebuild in the FormD T1.$1,652.49 -

My goal with this build was to make a small future-proof machine that I could stuff massive amounts of processing power down the line. This is used for schoolwork, gaming, and video editing. My hopes are to eventually upgrade the CPU and GPU, to show that I can cram at least a AMD 12-core + 2080ti into this small of a PC. At this point, the X570 board is a waste, but again, I plan to upgrade to 3rd gen Ryzen eventually. And yes, the blower graphics card is loud. Really loud. And hot. I also want to change the case out, maybe to a NR200 when that comes out, as well as put a custom loop on it (?). The RAM and fan configs have changed over time, but it always has been 16gb. One thing I really regret is getting the Vega 64. I have experienced awful artifacting and coil whine. Although the latter is inevitable, the artifacting was probably caused by my terrible undervolting skills. At times, it idles at 85 degrees Celsius. As I live in a small room with close to no air conditioning, my room easily gets up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit when the PC is on. If I were to do something different about this build, it would most certainly be to avoid Vega. But hey, it's a decent performing card!$1,652.91 -

I had already purchased the 3060Ti, and so I wanted to upgrade the rest of the components to something more modern. Right now I am playing The Last of Us Part 1 (pc release). I'm enjoying it and it's running well. I think most of the negative feedback people have voiced about TLOU P1 on pc is due to having older graphics card that aren't as compatible.$1,652.91 -

I originally built this pc just for the sole purpose of having a challenge. I have never been a pc before this one I've only ever used MacBooks through high school and college. I wanted to actually turn this into a hakintosh but once is was finished I kinda fell in love with it as it is! I use it for daily computing, research, the occasional gaming (GTA5, fortnite, cod) and music library organization. I dj most every Friday and Saturday night using a MacBook Pro as my go to gig computer, this workstation is perfect for staying at home containing most of my music library. I plan on upgrading the gpu and cpu down the road but for now this works way better than I planned on originally. I have a massive amount of storage for how small this thing is and plan to add more. total I would like 6-8 TB.$1,652.94 -
