BBB (basic beginner build)
by Kai T Posted on: 6/26/2023Build Description
First of all, this is the first pc I've attempted to build in maybe 12-15 years. Technology is very different now. So I'm basically calling myself a beginner. I started building this mainly to have a pc that's very budget friendly and one that will be flexible upgradable down the road if I decide I want to do that. Selecting the components was a process of learning. But it was fun!

I really like the performance I'm getting from my graphics card. I heard that Cyberpunk 2077 runs horribly but so far I'm having good performance playing the game on my 1920x1080 monitor. I was originally just going to get one of the processors that end in "G" that have graphics ability on the chip. But I found a great deal on an open box Gigabyte Eagle 6600 8gb card at micocenter. This allowed me to then choose from cpu's that lacked graphics capability. This ended up being a gread decision because using a 5600 (non-G) cpu and a 6600 graphics card is getting me much better performance than I would have gotten otherwise.
