The Obsidian Tower

This was one of the first times I had ever built (or helped build) a computer. After countless hours of guides, video tutorials, and LTT, my friend and I were finally ready to put this build together. This was his first PC as well, and it was well used between 2017 and 2022. The overall build went very smooth for a first time (the IO shield was maybe the most difficult part), and even simple things like updating BIOS was very smooth. This PC was built in the golden age of pricing in my opinion, and overall with some used parts, the total cost of the build was very conservative. The build was mainly made for gaming and general purpose, with some light streaming on the side. A lot of CS:GO, Rainbow Six Siege, and Overwatch 1 was played on this machine. Blender and other 3D modeling was also learned and utilized on this graphics card. Ultimately, the CPU ended up being the most slow or outdated by mid-2022 which prompted a new build with a 5600X and 3070. I did not anticipate the case to be so large and so in the aforementioned new build, the new case is about a third of the size. The 1080 held up really nicely even in today's comparisons, and is definitely was a really solid card ahead of its time.
