Nerd on a Budget's $750 Build for 2020
by Danny L Posted on: 1/14/2020Build Description
This is a slightly modified version of Nerd on a Budget's $750 build for 2020 (video for reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qnUkuERzW8). Prices may vary a little bit as of making the video, so be flexible if necessary and change out components for alternative, yet comparable components if the price is radically different. The case, power supply, and RAM for this build list is different than what is shown in the video, but will have minimal impact to performance.

Favorite Feature
The RX 5700 is definitely the highlight of this build, coming in at almost half of the build cost and carrying it far with fantastic gaming performance.
AMD CPU Ryzen 5 2600 3.4GHz 6 Core AM4 Boxed Processor with Wraith Stealth Cooler
Qty: 1
$109.99
The Ryzen 1600/AF is also a good alternative for this if you are looking to reduce the price a bit.

Gigabyte Motherboard B450 AORUS M AMD AM4 mATX Motherboard

G.Skill RAM Ripjaws V 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 PC4-25600 CL16 Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit F4-3200C16D-16GVKB - Black

You can pretty much grab any kit that's rated 3000 MHz, so use that when pricing out the memory.

Cooler Master Case MasterBox Q300L mATX Mini Tower Computer Case - Black
Qty: 1
$49.99
This is one of my favorite micro-atx cases, at a very affordable price. It's actually much better than the case used in the reference video.

Thermaltake Power Supply Smart Series 600 Watt 80 Plus ATX Non-Modular Power Supply

$49.99

ASUS Video Card Radeon RX 5700 Single-Fan 8GB GDDR6 PCIe 4.0 Video Card

Inland Professional 2.5" SSD 480GB SSD 3D TLC NAND SATA III 6Gb/s 2.5" Internal Solid State Drive (480G)

For another $10-15 you can grab an m.2 NVME drive, but 2.5" sata SSDs still offer great performance for the tightest of budgets.
