Open air gaming PC
by Andy K Posted on: 4/7/2022Build Description
This was my first build in an open air case, and also my first build with a vertical GPU. I intended this PC to be used for just about everything. I do some photo editing in Lightroom, as well as some gaming. Of course, I like to turn the settings up to the highest options, so I opted for a GTX 1080 despite only having a 1080p monitor, and not playing anything too demanding. I mostly wanted the freedom to never run into slowdowns at high or ultra settings. I mostly play games like Doom Eternal, GTA V, Stalker series, Forza series and a few other random games.
Favorite Feature
My favorite feature of this build is the vertical GPU mount. This was the first time I have set one up, and it came out looking better than I thought it would. My favorite part of the vertical GPU mount is the 180 degree GPU power adapters that I was able to find so that I was able to tuck the power cables behind the graphics card.
