How to pair a Bluetooth Device to an iOS 9 Device

Description: This article will show how to pair a Bluetooth device to an iOS device. Bluetooth is a well-known feature that pairs two devices together wirelessly. A common use for this would be to connect a Bluetooth headset or keyboard.

  1. Open the Settings application.

  2. Tap Bluetooth.

  3. Turn on Bluetooth by tapping on the slider. If it is green, Bluetooth is on. If it is gray, Bluetooth is off.

  4. Find the device in the list under Devices and tap on it to connect.

  5. Depending on the device, there may be a prompt for a PIN code. Generally, this will be 0000 or 1234. Refer to the Bluetooth device’s manual for more details on pairing the specific device.
