Microsoft DaRT or Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset are a powerful set of tools that help you diagnose and repair your desktop. It also can help you fix the issue as soon as you determine the cause. For example, you can use the DaRT tools to remove hotfixes, find missing files, take out malware and viruses even if you can't start up your Windows Operating system.

The tools that are included are:

• Computer Management - are a collection of administrative tools that can help you troubleshoot.
• Crash Analyzer - analyzes the dump file from the OS to see why it failed.
• Defender - detects and warns you about malware and potentially unwanted programs (PuPs).
• Disk Commander - repairs and recovers your drives.
• Disk Wipe - Lets you completely delete all data from your drive.
• Explorer - allows you to browse your file system and networks.
• File Restore - Lets you restore missing or deleted files.
• File Search - Allows you to locate documents on your machine.
• Hotfix Uninstall - lets you remove hotfixes and service packs that you would like to uninstall.
• Locksmith - lets you set or change your password.
• Registry Editor - Allows you to change your OS's registry.
• SFC Scan - will scan your OS's system files and repair them.
• Solution Wizard - will recommend the best course of action or solution for your errors.
• TCP/IP Config - allows you to manually set up your TCP/IP.
