Description: This article will show you how to switch your sign-in account on a Windows 8.1 PC from a Microsoft Account to a different existing Microsoft Account.

1. The first step in this process is to switch to a local account. Swipe in from the right side of the screen while on the desktop view or press the Windows Key and C at the same time. Click on Settings in the lower right corner.
   
2. Click on Change PC settings.
   
3. Click on Accounts.
   
4. Under Your Account, click on Disconnect.
   
5. Type in your current Microsoft Account Password and then click Next.
   
6. Enter the requested information to create your local account and then click Next.
   
7. Click on sign out and then Finish.
8. Log back into Windows using the newly created local account.
9. Swipe in from the right side of the screen while on the desktop view or press the Windows Key and C at the same time. Click on Settings in the lower right corner.
   
10. Click on Change PC settings.
    
11. Click on Accounts and then under Your account, click on Connect to a Microsoft account.
    
12. Type in your current password for your local account.
    
13. Type in the username and password for the different Microsoft Account and then click Next.
    
14. On this final screen click Switch.
    
15. This will now log you in to the different Microsoft Account that you chose.
