This is a gaming PC I built for a friend that I ended up keeping as a side rig mainly when friends visit or for other family members to do office work. I tried to obtain parts as cheaply as possible and took advantage of Microcenter's great open box deals. Got really lucky that I had upgraded my GPU before the pandemic situation.$741.95 -

I just turned 13 and this is what I picked out for my birthday. I built this system because now I am the legal age to stream and make content. In the future I plan to stream games like Fortnite, c-o-d, Warzone, Minecraft, and Valorant to make people happy. I have got all of my content platforms up and ready with my chosen name of NotLuqy. I entered this contest because I feel that this is a good chance to show people my creation and somehow if I win this will help me buy the streaming gear needed to make my content more professional. If I could change one thing about this build it would be to put more white in it. I feel that just the ram being white is not enough for my black and white system.$867.94 -

This gaming PC was created with some help from Microcenter who sponsored a project for us, the Toastybros, to head out to the Sharonville Microcenter and build a PC with a max budget of $1,000. We built this around the time Microcenter was having a deal on the Ryzen 7 2700x where it was only $130. Insane value. The best part is, once we built this PC in the back of the Microcenter, we found a lucky random shopper to give this PC to for free. We love to give back, and if you would like to see the video we made, check it out here! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxsQN4TRDDo&t=2s$964.93 -

This story goes back to 2019 when I had a constantly revolving wish list of parts for most of the year as my PC at the time was a budget build from 2014 with a GTX 650 and i3 3rd gen. Gaming wasnt horrible as long as i played on medium to low settings or alternatively played on lower resolutions. Eventually I got tired of it and after graduating college and working a year or two I decided it was time to upgrade. Febuary 2nd 2020, I decide to pull the trigger and made an afternoon trip to MicroCenter and came back with this $1000 build and assembled it before dinner. I added an M.2 SSD as well from amazon to the build. This computer is easily 10 times better than the former one. Across multiple seasonal Steam sales i had bought the Borderlands series, the Bioshock series, the Witcher series, Dishonored 1 and 2, and the Darksouls series but never got to enjoy lag free gaming experience... until now! This gaming build coupled with a 144hz Freesync monitor has changed everything to say the least. I did my best to OC as much as I could but I was unable to get past 3200mhz ram speed on my 3666mhz DIMMs and a CPU clock of 4ghz. If i had more budget i would have gone with 4 channel ram setup and a AIO cooler to avoid the heating up my room so much. Regardless, now I can finally play Minecraft with fancy graphics in peace once and for all.$977.93 -

A simple seamless NZXT case with a see through side panel shows off the simplistic inner workings of this build. With RGB ram and RGB heat sink, this build will let the user enjoy any entry level or mid level game without crashing or freezing. With the OS installed to the SSD for a speedy startup and a seagate harddrive for everything else this customer will never have to worry about missing a battle online because his computer did not boot up fast enough, or worry that his system will not be able to handle high end games when he gets to that point because he has 16 gbs of ram to support that SSD and AMD Ryzen CPU.$1,128.90 -

It was a great learning experience. I mainly play multiplayer FPS games like RB6 Seige and Warzone. At 1080p high settings system performed very well. Cooling was the only thing I was concerned about. However beefy air coolers these days get the job done. First case I picked up had few broken components including case. So, replaced it with a new case. If you are first time builder please make sure that the Power Supply and Air Cooler are compatible with the case that your are choosing and if you are skeptical and have more space; you can always pick up larger case just to be on the safe side. It handles everything, from gaming to personal business to moderator duty at a couple of online forums to general browsing. The name "Sable-6" designates that this is the sixth generation of this computer, starting way back in the socket 939 days with a 3200+. All of my builds evolve as I upgrade as I can afford it which is true for this one. The sixth generation originated when I upgraded from a Ryzen 1600 and a B350 mobo to my current 3600X and X570 board. Since that time I have upgraded the case, PSU, GPU, storage, AiO cooler, and monitors. I am still adding to my rig here and there as there is always room for improvement. My monitor setup is a bit of a waste for the most part as I primarily play Battlefield 4 but I had always wanted a 3+1 setup. **Note: My actual motherboard is an ASRock X570 EXTREME4 WiFi AX but it is not a choice below. My actual RAM is 4x8GB XPG Spectrix D41 RGB 3200MHz. My all-in-one cooler is a SilverStone Technology PF240-ARGB Permafrost 240mm All in One Multi-Chamber Addressable RGB CPU Liquid Cooler. My storage solutions are as follows: C drive - Samsung 970 Evo M.2 (256GB), D drive "Games" - Corsair p1 M.2 (1TB), E drive "programs" - Samsung 860 EVO SSD (500GB), F drive "Downloads" - WD Green HDD (2TB). The monitor setup is three Sceptre E255B-1658A 24.5" 165Hz monitors, a single ancient NEC MultiSync 19" monitor, and all are mounted on a VIVO Quad LCD Monitor Desk Stand.$1,249.93 -

I played on a gaming laptop for awhile but it was time to build something for myself and call it my own. I built it to be able to play with my friends who also built their own PCs. Also there was quite the incentive when I realized the greater performance you get on a PC when compared to a console, especially when playing cross-platform games. I play Call of Duty, Rainbow Six Siege, Overwatch, and Destiny 2 mainly. It definitely was a fun time putting it all together with the help of my roommates. I can definitely tell the difference from my Xbox One and my gaming laptop (which had a 1660ti in it). It runs very smooth and boots up super quick with the M.2 drive. At first I was a tad hesitant to get an AMD card because Nvidia is the top dog but so far, I've had no regrets as it has proven itself worthy for giving my the frames I want in games.$1,457.87 -

I have been wanting to do a sleeper build for a while, but when I initially looked at the cases I had to choose from, I realized that I'd have to put in some elbow grease and I got deterred. 2 years later and I decided to fully commit on the idea! The most annoying part about the build is definitely the cooling; I cannot run the PC with the side panel on if I'm doing any amount of gaming as the air intake and outake between the two fans are just not good enough for it to cool the system. Had to dremel out the back of the case (similar to https://i.imgur.com/NN9qdhg.jpeg), preparing the case was a bit of a mess but it worked out in the end! I do have an unorthodox cooling setup as the back fan mount was a weird size. However, the stock fan on the stock cooler of the 5600X fit perfectly! I unfortunately broke the plastic that was keeping it connected to the AMD shroud that surrounds it, so I can no longer claim warranty on it at Micro Center. I had to drill holes in the metal portion in the front of the case (behind the plastic cover that goes over front I/O). I also had to drill holes in the Gateway piece that attaches to that cover so that air flows through it slightly better. I also had to buy a 3.5" to 5.5" adapter to mount my HDD inside the PC. I tried 3D printing out a mount but it did not screw into the piece so I bought a $5 adapter from Amazon. It gets the job done, but I had to use the black front piece that covers it as opposed to the original PC case piece, as the original juts out enough to where it does not fit.$1,466.92
