Didn't want to go crazy without the confidence that it would work the first time I assembled it. Ben at Madison Heights was easy to work with to secure all the parts. Build took 3 hours from start to getting Windows to load in. Install went without a hitch and everything seems to be working perfectly. The GPU was a good compromise from what I wanted (2080 Ti) to what made sense. I'd recommend the EVGA 2070 Super to anyone that is on a budget. I went simple on the case, it was easy to work in and cord management was good. The temps on everything is great as well.$1,851.89 -

The reason for this build was because I wanted to be able to play computer games with my friends, but also be able to be productive when it comes to homework for school and work for my job. The other reason I finally decided to finally build a pc was also because of the CoronaVirus pandemic, since we as a nation were being ordered to stay quarantined, I figured this was the best time as any to join the pc master race. With CyberPunk 2077 coming later this year, I wanted to up my experience from my Xbox to PC gaming. Things I would have done different is not mix matching the parts, this was my first ever build so I just bought what I thought looked nice and was affordable. Next time I build a computer I plan on being more unified in parts. In the future I plan to over clock my CPU, so a future upgrade to my pc would be the AIO for better cooling to the future over clock.$1,975.87 -

It all started in December 2018 - A conversation struck between a co-worker and I about what games we enjoy. He was persistent to encourage me to build a computer for myself and to get away from console gaming. Honestly I was actually considering buying a pre-built rig. January 2019 - I had been discussing the idea of buying a computer with a long-time friend who ensured to me that building a computer of your own is much easier than it seems and that it just takes time. Properly encouraged, I went out to Canada Computers and purchased an ATX DeepCool case for just under $100. That was the start of an experience that I would suggest to anyone who is interested, but thinks it would be difficult, to dive into the hobby and research as much as possible. It can be quite fun actually. That same month another friend of mine was encouraged to build a PC of his own and in the span of about a year we were able to put together each of our own custom rigs with a GTX 1070. January - April 2019 - I temporarily used my friend's components to play games as he was unable to have them at his house. I got used to the world of PC gaming as I did previously own a PC my parents had bought me back in 2003. Halo: CE was the game of choice. April 2019 - I had my friend's motherboard in my ATX case as I was unable to afford to progress at the time. Talk about bad timing for trying to build a PC. A week later he found his own case online for cheap and we transferred the guts over. Near the end of April 2019 - I was hired at a new job that allowed me to buy my remaining components one by one. As soon as everything was in my hands I went to my long-time friend's place and we put everything together! Ill admit, with a few issues. Thanks to the advice of Linus, Bitwit, JayzTwoCents & so many others, the build posted without any concerns. I was extremely excited to finally be able to join the PC Master Race family with my very own build and I have been slowly upgrading here and there ever since. June 2020 - I was able to pick up some white cables to replace the stock black cables. July 2020 - I invested into an MSI GeForce RTX 2070 Super even though I am aware the prices might be fluctuating in anticipation of the 3000 series cards. Thank you for taking the time to review my build's history and where I have come to now.$2,026.90 -

Stay home and stay healthy. The standard HD will be removed and replaced with additional SSD as my steam account has over 100 games now. The PC temperatures are OK. Battlefield 5 in Ultra CPU max 72C - GPU 68C. Very happy with my build, and very happy with Micro-center customer service. If this is your first build, congratulations. First step to greatness :-) Part selection can be made on Microcenters PC builder. Print it out and provide it to the store employee that will be helping with part picking. Ask the employee questions in regards your build if you have, and ask for possible PC part advise. Assemble parts and build it. Easy steps, baby steps no rush. Motherboard, CPU, air cooler and ram. AIO can be mounted later. Check youtube and forums if you have questions or you are not sure how to. Stick it in to the case carefully, no need worry about cables yet. It was easier for to install some cables now and run the in the back before power supply install. Yes the cables were that hardest part of the PC build for me. The little cables to the led and on/off, but few youtube guides and it was done correctly. Cable management in the back is recommended. Makes it look nice and easier to work on in the future. The GPU install is easy, and extra fans if needed. Hope you will reach POST screen. If not, make sure your GPU monitor cable is connected to the right port, and the power supply is ON!!! Game on !!!!$2,054.89 -

This customer got a little nervous in the middle of building his machine and brought it in for us to make sure there were no mistakes. Its a nice machine with a little small radiator but will work well for mid level gaming. The motherboard was already in the case with CPU, RAM, CPU cooler and SSD installed but the RAM had to be switched around for the correct slots and the standoffs in the motherboards had to be tightened as they were bending the board. Afterwards the machine looks nice and clean.$2,164.88 -
