PC 2 I made for my spouse to work on and also play pc games with me. Most of the games I play are found on Steam, Blizzard, Epic Games, LoL, Valorant, etc. I'm a OIF/OEF Vet myself, my teenage kids wanted to get into PC gaming (they're "upgrading" from consoles/Fortnite) and I come from an automotive repair background so putting together a PC is trivial in comparison to an engine or fine tuning suspension for an auto cross track. Anywho, future upgrades to include the new 6800 XT or some 3080's were available but I'll deal with having 5700 XT's for now as a place holder. Almost returned both these NZXT cases (still within 30day window) and buy 2 new Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini cases + 12*LL120 case fans but too lazy to take apart both PC components JUST to have the NEW case.$3,267.86 -

Build the pc recently after my old rig died and I've upgrade to what is my baby today. My rigs plays games from 1080p, 1440ps and even 4k on certain games. Games I play are Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Cyberpunk 2077, Doom Eternal, Witcher 3, etc. You name it, it can play it This is my personal gaming rig and I'm a computer technician who enjoy building pc for family, friends, clients or anyone who want either a gaming, workshop or personal rig. My cpu, gpu, ssd and rams are from micro center -- new out the box. Most my parts and hdds were bought from Amazon on sales. Dont be afraid to buy from Amazon, some to most of their parts are good and great alternatives from big name brands products ( corsair, evga, coolermaster, etc....)$2,075.90 -

Had an AMD A10 7700K Black Edition with Asrock fatal1ty fm2a88x+ killer board, 8GB Crucial Ballistix RAM 1600Mhz, MSI R9 270 Twin Frozr 2GB, 128GB Samsung 840 PRO SSD and 1TB WDBlue HDD, EVGA 500W 80 Plus PSU, in a Corsair Carbide Spec01 lol. This is my complete overhaul (2.5 years-ish old now. Newest part is GPU, originally had an Asus RX580 4GB) Built this purposely for casual gaming at 1440p high/ultra, photo editing and minor video work.. Running 2 monitors ACER Nitro VG271U and MSi Optix MAG24C.. (Yeah cringey cause not matching monitors lol) Peripherals are Glorious Model D, Glorious TKL Keyboard with lubed and filmed Gateron Yellow switches, Glorious Extended mouse pad. For Audio I'm currently running FiiO E10K USB DAC/AMP to a Philips Fidelio X2HR open back headphones. Speakers are Logitech z623 system. Mic is a Fifine T669 with boom arm and shock mount. Aiming to upgrade to AIO cooling since I have the space.. Feel free to roast or suggest anything lol$1,992.79 -

Decided to do a new build around the wonderful Ryzen 2700x CPU, and I'm very glad I did. It's a very fast processor that handles gaming, streaming and video editing with no issues at all. The Wraith Prism cooler it comes with is the best cooler I've ever seen bundled with a processor too. The RX5700XT Red Devil keeps all games running smoothly at high frame rates in 1440p even with high or ultra settings. Of course, I also had to put in a lot of RGB. The corsair HD120 fans have no diffusion on the RGB leds, which pair perfectly with the corsair led strips, while keeping everything cool. This InWin case doesn't come with any fans, but has room for up to 6. It also features a tool-less tempered glass panel on the side and RGB on the InWin logo. Because of the side intake the case stays very cool, even with a closed off front panel. There's also an included GPU bracket to protect it from sagging, very useful for a big card like the 5700XT Red Devil!$1,958.34 -

I have been wanting to do a sleeper build for a while, but when I initially looked at the cases I had to choose from, I realized that I'd have to put in some elbow grease and I got deterred. 2 years later and I decided to fully commit on the idea! The most annoying part about the build is definitely the cooling; I cannot run the PC with the side panel on if I'm doing any amount of gaming as the air intake and outake between the two fans are just not good enough for it to cool the system. Had to dremel out the back of the case (similar to https://i.imgur.com/NN9qdhg.jpeg), preparing the case was a bit of a mess but it worked out in the end! I do have an unorthodox cooling setup as the back fan mount was a weird size. However, the stock fan on the stock cooler of the 5600X fit perfectly! I unfortunately broke the plastic that was keeping it connected to the AMD shroud that surrounds it, so I can no longer claim warranty on it at Micro Center. I had to drill holes in the metal portion in the front of the case (behind the plastic cover that goes over front I/O). I also had to drill holes in the Gateway piece that attaches to that cover so that air flows through it slightly better. I also had to buy a 3.5" to 5.5" adapter to mount my HDD inside the PC. I tried 3D printing out a mount but it did not screw into the piece so I bought a $5 adapter from Amazon. It gets the job done, but I had to use the black front piece that covers it as opposed to the original PC case piece, as the original juts out enough to where it does not fit.$1,466.92 -

I played on a gaming laptop for awhile but it was time to build something for myself and call it my own. I built it to be able to play with my friends who also built their own PCs. Also there was quite the incentive when I realized the greater performance you get on a PC when compared to a console, especially when playing cross-platform games. I play Call of Duty, Rainbow Six Siege, Overwatch, and Destiny 2 mainly. It definitely was a fun time putting it all together with the help of my roommates. I can definitely tell the difference from my Xbox One and my gaming laptop (which had a 1660ti in it). It runs very smooth and boots up super quick with the M.2 drive. At first I was a tad hesitant to get an AMD card because Nvidia is the top dog but so far, I've had no regrets as it has proven itself worthy for giving my the frames I want in games.$1,457.87 -

It was a great learning experience. I mainly play multiplayer FPS games like RB6 Seige and Warzone. At 1080p high settings system performed very well. Cooling was the only thing I was concerned about. However beefy air coolers these days get the job done. First case I picked up had few broken components including case. So, replaced it with a new case. If you are first time builder please make sure that the Power Supply and Air Cooler are compatible with the case that your are choosing and if you are skeptical and have more space; you can always pick up larger case just to be on the safe side. This gaming PC was created with some help from Microcenter who sponsored a project for us, the Toastybros, to head out to the Sharonville Microcenter and build a PC with a max budget of $1,000. We built this around the time Microcenter was having a deal on the Ryzen 7 2700x where it was only $130. Insane value. The best part is, once we built this PC in the back of the Microcenter, we found a lucky random shopper to give this PC to for free. We love to give back, and if you would like to see the video we made, check it out here! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxsQN4TRDDo&t=2s$964.93 -
