I wanted to build try SLI but I my allowance didn't allow me. Fast forward several years, I was able to build it for gaming and video editing. The games I play are Hitman II, GTA V, Genshin Impact, Bloons TD6, TF2 and Maplestory. I am still trying to financially recover from this. I would like to get some large hard drives in the future and perhaps install an HBA to increase the number of drives I can have or possibly a 10 gig card so I can potentially use my PC as a NAS. I am considering getting some RGB strips because you gotta have them. My system is kinda dark since I bought Noctuas over something like LLs from Corsair since cooling is a bigger priority and lighting can be done separately. The biggest mistake was getting cable extensions and not buying sleeved cables. I have a crazy amount of cable length to manage. The ARGB on my cooler master was loose with my motherboard and I cannot control the RGB through software. I really wish it were a better fit so I wouldn't have to pop the side panel off when I want to change colors.$9,229.95 -

I've always loved the look of a hardline water-cooled system and I decided it's now or never and to overcome my fear of messing up a project like this.$5,113.93 -

It was the last piece missing from my man cave. I wanted a clean build but powerful at the same time. I set the build up with dual 1440p ultrawide 100hz viewsonic monitors and an extra long hdmi to my 75” Samsung tv that is connected to my surround system via arc to the marantz receiver. This setup allows me to game at my desk or kick back on the couch with a controller. I also got a oculus quest with oculus link to play beat saber and Half Life Alyx!! I chose a EVGA 2080ti FTW3 ultra Oc to power all the monitors and TVs. I have made so many trips to microcenter during the building process I have become a regular and familiar with most of the associates at the St David’s location, btw they all rock! The complete specs are below: CPU: Ryzen 3600x Cooler: wraith prism GPU: evga 2080ti ftw3 ultra Oc RAM: trident z neo 3600 cl 16, 32gb Storage: nvme pcie 4.0 1tb, nvme pcie 3.0 1tb, seagate hdd 3tb 7200 Case: NZXT h710i VR: oculus quest connected via oculus link Monitors: 2x Viewsonic xg350r-c 1440p ultrawide, Samsung 75” 4K 7series Sound system: marantz 6008 receiver, dual mono block amps for front towers. As streamer with a new new studio I wanted to be able to have a kickin' rig for guests to use that was also visible as part of my set. Enter: The Lamp; cosmetics were my focus with an eye for the practical. The idea was that this system would also be a slot-in replacement for my main rig should it ever give me trouble. All I'd have to do is throw in a higher tier Ryzen CPU, like a 3950x and my streaming game and content game would be back where it needs to be! Forgot to add the Strimer RGB cable extensions to the list but they are AMAZING and really tie the whole thing together! A MUST for anyone who likes pretty things and they are incredibly high quality to boot!$4,449.79 -

I had an older desktop that ran an i5 and the GTX1060 with a standard monitor. With this build, I wanted to upgrade more on the internal parts as well as my monitor to give myself a great computer that would run everything I needed. However, I did not upgrade the CPU to a high-end processor or the video card as I built it around a budget as well as what would satisfy my needs. However, my upgrade itch did cause me to expand from one regular monitor to three 27” MSI curved gaming monitors. In addition, since it was a gaming machine, I wanted to add some flair with RGB, so I did incorporate that into the build. Currently, I am using it to play World of Warcraft, Skyrim, PUBG and Star Citizen (Beta). So far, this machine has run everything I have thrown at it and has met every expectation I wanted.$3,678.98 -

This was my first custom rig, built originally for light gaming, but morphed into a much more complex and powerful build (and more expensive) that I originally planned. I may have sacrificed a bit in performance for aesthetic, as water cooling and high-end RGB components are not cheap. I currently play games such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassins Creed: Odyssey, Monster Hunter: World, the Dishonored franchise, GTAV, and plan on getting Cyberpunk 2077 when it releases. I am in the process of upgrading my GPU from the 980ti to a RTX 2070 Super, and recently upgraded my monitors from a 24" LG 1080p 70Hz and Asus 27" 2k 60Hz to dual LG Ultragear 27" 144hz 1440p monitors. Sadly, with the GPU upgrade, I will be converting from water cooling to all air cooling, with plans to add an AIO CPU cooler down the road.$3,605.92 -
