Plus, it also works pretty great as a gaming PC. I want this workstation to perform the best and reduce the rendering time while processing my animation project, so I went ahead and picked up a 4090 for this setup because it's pretty much the best out there. After testing it out on a project I was currently working on, I am very happy I made this decision. The rendering time was almost cut in half compared to my old workstation with a 2080ti.$4,719.92 -

I wanted something as future proof as possible (If that is even a thing) I'm primarilly interested in rally racing. Dirt Rally 2.0 is what i spend the bulk of my time playing. This PC handles everything I throw at it but it's a little furnace. My Son is pushing me to stream but I don't know. Maybe some day. This system is paired with a Samsung G9 49" 1000R curved monitor and it is perfect for racing. Not the best choice for regular gaming for which the race rig does double duty.$3,743.89 -

The only parts reused from my last build are the Sabrent Rocket 2TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD and the Thermaltake Core P5 case. My previous build was water-cooled, but I am returning to air-cooled for this build. Water-cooling adds weight and the drain and refill maintenance cycle is taxing. My old temps were in the 40°C range under load with occasional peaks up to 50°C. This system runs at 60°C under load with peaks up to 70°C. I view this as sort of a "sleeper." Not a lot of RGB or fluff, but with an AMD 7800X3D CPU and Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, it runs everything as well as can be run .. today. My last build lasted four years before it couldn't run the latest games fluidly. I'm hoping for around that with this one. Check back in four years. (I removed the smoked tempered glass in the pictures because the reflections were irritating.)$3,681.94 -

I got into sim racing last summer playing ACC very casually on my GF's pc. As I got more into the hobby I wanted to upgrade to a triple monitor setup. This meant upgrading the PC as well and getting a monitor stand. I decided to go all in and spring for a 4090 and 7800X3D, and took advantage of microcenters bundle deal with the cpu/ram/mobo. Shortly after getting the monitor stand. I end up getting a cockpit as well. I regret purchasing the monitor stand and cockpit separately. I should have just gotten the TK P1 Pro bundle, i would have gotten an upgraded cockpit along with the keyboard tray and mouse pad for the same price . Im still very happy with my current setup. Gonna hold off on any more upgrades for the time being, even though I am a bit tempted to upgrade my wheelbase/wheel lol. Thanks to my local Microcenter for providing great customer service and having a wide selection of sim racing gear.$3,591.93 -

I was bored and decided to upgrade my, already insane, PC that I built with Top AMD components at the start of the GPU Scalping craze. This thing has been able to handle everything that has been thrown at it so far. I am currently gaming at 1440p, which is completely fine. But in the future, when 4K becomes more prevalent, it will be at the ready for the transition.$3,405.90 -

What games? All of em, champ. We dabble in everything around these parts, and the 4090 rips and tears them all to pieces. Also, the Fiji water is absolutely crucial for maintaining peak performance during the build process. Stay hydrated bros. P.S. The builder didn't include all of my SSD's, so I'll list them. 980 Pro 1 TB, 970 Pro 1TB, 870 Evo 2TB, and 870 QVO 2TB.$3,327.44 -

I built this PC in the midst of the GPU Shortage, with parts salvaged from a prebuilt gaming machine. There are no original parts left in the case at this point, but it all started with migrating the build from the original case to the Lian Li Lancool II for improved airflow. I'll also say that case-swapping a prebuilt is more work than building from scratch. From there, over the next two years, I would go on to upgrade the power supply, RAM, GPU, AIO cooler, and added Lian Li RGB Strimer cables for extra FPS! Just two days ago, I swapped the original motherboard and CPU for one of microcenters AMD bundles and now this thing is in its penultimate form. I plan to get rid of all of the RGB and put this born-again-and-again beast into a Fractal North XL case, as much like this PC has matured over the last few years, so have my tastes...even if it means I'll lose some FPS due to lack of RGB.$3,192.90 -
