Decent little build although it's obviously GPU bottlenecked (Sure I'm not alone) Plays most older titles or well optimized games at really good FPS on high or highest settings at 1080p but newer more demanding games are anywhere from 30 to 60 FPS depending on the Title. Still makes for a good little workstation, multimedia, general purpose machine and more than quick enough for basic task.

Built to run Lightwave 3D rendering software, as well as general usage. This is the first machine I have built in over 15 years. My last build was a dual AMD Athlon, and everything since then until now has been off-the-shelf stuff, so this is a big upgrade for me. Lightwave is a CPU renderer, not GPU, so the video card was not a major concern for me, but CPU cores and memory was.

Some of the games the games I play are Call of Duty and Forza which the Gigabyte RX 5500 XT handled perfectly during casual gaming at 1080p. For school, I have many programs running which is why the extra ram was very helpful. Some things I plan on doing in the future are switching graphics cards when the Radeon graphic cards come out or the new 3000 series from NVIDIA come out and adding a new B550 motherboard later down the line.

I bought a Macbook Air for my sister years ago and it seemed she was in need of an upgrade. We went for an under $1000 budget on this build. The main uses for the computer is to browse, watch videos, listen to music, and maybe light gaming in the future. I was lucky to grab an open box for the GPU and it works well! A 240mm AIO upgrade would be awesome for this build so it can help lower the temps compared to the stock cooler. I added an additional two NZXT case fans as intakes in the front; I wasn't using them in my build and works perfect for here!

Previous machine was a FX6100/1050ti very low end MB... began to upgrade that rig with doubling the ram and a larger more contemporary HD. As that was coming to fruition i noted the new tech on the market. Since i haveNt really spent much on my hobby in a while, I decided to overspend, i.e. spend way more than i initially intended to and just basically built from the ground up. This is what i thru together. IM really excited about the case, plenty of airflow and a PSU shroud (sry...it's my first one, now i can get serious about cable management). Also, AMD has improved quite a bit since my last build experience (10+ years ago) and having a good experience with the FX was excited about the Ryzen line.... the 1600AF doesNt disappoint. UPGRAYEDDs PSU needs attention...600-700w EVGA (probably)....modular tyvm (h8 the "condiment" cords...i understand theyRe doing good things with braided maybe??) WouldNt mind eventually throwing in a newer/faster graphics card.... ...currently considering my options for the aftermarket CPU cooler.... thinking "be quiet" has some tight answers, prolly go that way. (AIOs have me scratching my chin tho...the case gives plenty of options even with the 2 additional 140mm case fans) ...and if i ever wanna get into OC'n...iLL be solid My bottleneck is essential my screen...iM using my 40in TV atm (not the dinky one in the photo) ...never had anything more than 60hz....and i would love to see if response time makes much of a difference to the old man's already seriously eroded gaming skills (....50 if anyone is curious)

My name is Nick Van Guth Aka Termuda Square and i am a Minnesota local and professional PC modder who works with companies like InWin, CoolerMaster, HyperX, Kingston Tech, Alphacool, ModMyMods and more doing product photography and making show mods for them. This build was asked to be done by be quiet! after CES, to showcase some of their new products. products they supplied -DarkBase700 -12 X 140mm silent wing 3 fan's - straight power 11 platnium PSU HyperX supplied - 16GB DDR4 Fury non RGB 4 sticks Kingston supplied a - 500GB m.2 I am also a automotive painter so modding kind of goes hand and hand , so i started by tearing everything down even the gpu, motherboard parts and psu, which was pretty sketchy "i do not advise anyone who is not a professional to do this" had to de solder from inside power board to get it apart. I also laser cut all my acrylic parts and bent them with a acrylic bender before paint, all logos and details are paint with stencils and air brush also 100% paint whole MOD.
