I've wanted to build a gaming computer since I was a teenager—more than 15 years ago—and finally have the opportunity to do so. My wife is supporting this project because she recently picked up a strong interest in photo editing. As any married man knows, things are always a little more fun when the wife is on board. As a bonus, she also finds the concept of building a computer pretty exciting (probably because she's an engineer), so it's something we're both looking forward to doing. We also both don't much care for the unicorn vomit aesthetic, so we're both on board to build a fairly muted, modern-looking machine. I've been able to go back and play games that I couldn't truly enjoy before, and anyway that I can extend the life of my game library I will. I've been getting into overclocking a little bit and its incredibly addictive but I've learned a lot about the relationship and eco system of all the parts and the best combinations for different games and use cases.$1,854.92 -

I wanted something to replace my aging laptop now that I am out of school, and as a lifelong console gamer I have always been tempted by playing games on pc. So far I have been mostly playing valorant and halo with friends. I have not had any issues so far, and wow I must say that this is a very noticeable upgrade over the gaming consoles I have become accustomed to in the past. I really enjoyed the build process, and I look forward to upgrading and building new systems in the future. Currently, the only upgrade I am considering is maybe adding a 2tb m2 drive. I would also probably upgrade the 2 front case fans to lian li al140 fans if those ever come out. And finally, I may also consider changing out the cpu/mb/ram for the amd platform later this year.$2,599.85 -
