Its a basic build I built around 1080p gaming and the 3080 Ti, whichwas a great all around performing GPU that I was able to pick up off one of my local marketplace from a private buyer. I then bought the MB/CPU/RAM/PSU combo off a friend who had upgraded to a newer platform. Since I didn't need anything new and this fit what I needed it for, I also found a H5 Elite case from a private seller on my local marketplace as well and came with a Corsair RM750. Was able to repurpose some SSD I had laying around and all these together to make a complete working PC. I've been playing FO76 mainly and some FFXIV here and there. But mainly this computer is mainly used for YouTube and catching up on web browsing when not working.$1,135.00 -

For a living I edit videos, usually they are 1080p short-form, but even then, my projects can get so "complicated" or dense that even my old intel core i7 6850k would struggle to play it back. I really loved this CPU and platform, but it was time to get something modern. Intel 14th gen had released and I preordered the 14700k, and I went with intel because of the Quicksync h264/h265 hardware acceleration, otherwise I would've went with AMD. I'm really happy with my build. It does everything I need it to very well, and it didn't cost me that much for what I have. The only upgrade I can see myself doing in the next year is a GPU, RAM, or storage upgrade. I still have the old parts from my old build, which I'll probably turn it into a storage server and video encoding machine, so I can edit all my videos and have exports in progress without hindering timeline performance$1,255.93 -

I usually play some VR titles, Rocket League, Destiny 2, Risk of Rain 2, No Man's Sky. The process was pretty simple. Installed CPU and heatsink into the Mother Board, as well as the ram, then set it down into the case. Bolted everything down then installed all of the other parts. The strip of lights in the case was from a bulk roll of 5050 LEDs that I cut and soldered the connections on to it. One RGB header goes to the LED strip, and the second one goes to the fan controller included with the case so that ASUS Aura sync can control everything. I also run an Oculus Rift S off of this rig, and it's handled everything quite well. This build could benefit from a newer GPU. I'm looking to probably upgrade the CPU to a Ryzen 7 3700x when the 4000 series hits stores and pushes the price down on the 3000s. I chose the AverMedia capture card over the usual ElGato. The AverMedia was on sale, so I got it for a steal, and it's extremely easy to use.$1,399.81 -

With this build I wasn't trying to spend an outrageous amount, but wanted something that would last. The $400 deal from Micro Center that included the 7700x, motherboard, and 16Gb ddr5 was unbeatable. From there I acquired the other parts to just get a complete pc, already having a 500W psu and an absolute beast of an RX 580. Added an extra stick of 16GB as well. I just wanted something that works. Albeit, it struggled with elden ring. My work here wasn't done. The initial rig (red rgb fans) lasted a couple of months, where I upgraded the psu and added another 2tb of storage. However, I was getting fed up with that insane gpu bottleneck. So, I impulsively bought the 7800xt and slapped it right in there. Could not be happier. Absolutely crushes elden ring and anything I throw at it. (yes I know this is overkill for 1080p, but eventually I will upgrade to 1440p)$1,589.79 -

One of my friends was looking at upgrading his computer, so I ended up doing a build for him. He told me what he was looking for, and we looked together to find matching parts for his system. We went with a CPU + mobo bundle from microcenter since it was a great value. The NH-D15 was selected instead of an AIO out of an abundance of caution, to avoid the risks of any fluid damage. 6800XT for GPU as it was a great bang for the buck option.$1,606.92 -

The plan when selecting the components for this pc project was to build something that matches well with the ultrawide 2k 165hz monitor I use daily for a primary display. I've been piecing this build together a bit at a time for the last six months. I mainly kept an eye out for components that would be a significant upgrade over my 11900K / 3070 Ti desktop build. Shoutout to the employees at my local microcenter who take time to hunt down the random clearance items I order. Everything but the AIO cooler and the ssd storage devices were bought at microcenter. Currently on the 13700k, I have all P cores overclocked to 5.8 with all E cores at 4.4 with vcore set to 1.35 and medium LLC. My ddr5 is modestly overclocked from 6000 to 6400 for the time being. I need to re-learn how to overclock ram because a lot of bios settings have become more complex since ddr3-ddr4 days. From what I understand, Hynix A die modules should be able to overclock significantly higher frequencies - I just need to learn how to pull that off.$1,624.25 -

I usually play indie games like binding of isaac or enter th gungeon or terraria, but it has enough strength for COD or rendering 3D images in blender if needed. I stream occiasionally, record music, and do some voice over work so i have equipment set up for that. in hindsight id upgrade all the parts at the same time, and make sure they all work together because it was a nightmare doing it how i did. i only have a 1070 but am rocking that latest 12th gen i7 cpu with 32gb of ddr5 ram, liquid cooled with an AIO. very minimal RGB i wanted something muted and more ominous rather than showy and colorful. the cables are going to be upgraded when i get the chance its kind of a mess with stock cables.$1,644.95 -
