I built this as a secondary PC for my girlfriend to use when I am using my main rig inside the office. I opted for as little RGB as possible since I didn't want it to be too much of a focal point in the living room where it's set up. Performance is great with the 4060 and it's pretty quiet though I have not stress tested it or put it under significant load yet. Very happy overall!$1,404.92 -

I’m happy with the way it came out except for some of the wiring due to the TUF PSU having very malleable cabling. Not a bad thing I’m just inexperienced. Also, I wanted an AIO with an LCD screen but the NZXT and Ryujin still sit at a high price. I despise the large pump on the rug aio, but love the pump head despite not having a screen. My objective was to build a rig on the premise of cost efficiency vs. having the right hardware to get the job done. The problem was temptation. Man that 4090 comes to mind! I did choose to go the AM4 platform's route though. It is a solid choice in my view because it is AMD's best product vs. price to date. Performance turned out to be really good as well. Although it is an older platform I'm still playing games like God of War, Cyberpunk, Doom Eternal, Horizon, and Call of Duty III at more than satisfactory levels. The graphics are still eye-catching and that 6800 XT is a beast and was a great choice for this build! Temperatures are great when gaming as well. I did stress test it with Cinebench R23 and AIDA64 and those results did not even approach borderline.$2,028.62 -

Built around the Microcenter 7800x3D bundle with the Gigabyte B650 Gaming X MB and G.Skill Flare X5 RAM. I wanted to go with something similar to the Lian Li case but found a much cheaper case from a brand I’ve never heard of but achieves the same look. Paired it up with the HyperX Predator 64GB 3600MHz and Samsung 980 Pro 1TB. I mainly use this as a HTPC connected to my LG OLED and use something called Moonlight/Sunshine to stream my games from my main build. I built this computer with the NVIDIA GeForce 3060 Ti, Ryzen 7 CPU, 16GB DDR4 RAM, and a 1TB M.2 SSD to create a versatile powerhouse that can handle both gaming and creative tasks with ease. As a gamer, I'm drawn to titles that demand high-performance hardware to fully immerse myself in their worlds. With this setup, I dive into the latest AAA titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and Call of Duty: Warzone, experiencing smooth gameplay and stunning visuals at high settings. The NVIDIA GeForce 3060 Ti ensures that I can enjoy these games at high resolutions with fast frame rates, delivering an immersive gaming experience. Beyond gaming, I'm also a content creator, producing videos and streaming gameplay on platforms like YouTube and Twitch. The Ryzen 7 CPU's multi-threaded performance allows me to edit videos smoothly and handle streaming tasks without any lag. The 16GB DDR4 RAM ensures that multitasking is a breeze, whether I'm editing videos, streaming, or browsing the web simultaneously. In hindsight, one potential upgrade could be increasing the RAM to 32GB for even smoother multitasking and future-proofing the system. Additionally, considering the fast-paced advancements in technology, I might have opted for a higher-tier GPU if budget allowed, to ensure longevity and better performance in upcoming games and applications. Overall, this build strikes a perfect balance between gaming performance and content creation capabilities, allowing me to pursue my passions with confidence and efficiency.$1,195.94 -

At only 13 liters volume, the Jonsbo N1 case is a solid 2.5 mm aluminum alloy shell on top a 1.0 mm thick steel frameset with 2.0 mm structual beams. The heafty 8.36 LB metal data vault fits a Mini-ITX board, an SFX PSU, and five 3.5-in. SATA/SAS hard drives. Easy 100+ TB NAS and/or Proxmox VE in a compact 8.5-in. x 6.5-in. vertical footprint. My home office now runs on this one combined Proxmox NAS. It sports a Ryzen 5700G processor and a 4-drive ZFS RAID-Z1 array. Enough compute to provide basic services to a small network. The N1 with just one fan gets warm, so I'd recommend remove or change out the front panel for better airflow. In the future, I may populate its one PCIe expansion slot with a PCIe to 4x M.2 card, then add on a M.2 to 5-SATA card to use all five drive bays, add an M.2 2.5GbE card, (or 10GbE), and add extra M.2 NVMe drives.$1,144.98 -

I originally built this comuter to play more casual games like Sims 4, Minecraft with RTX, Stardew Valley, and other emulation. Later when I entered my tech school, I began to use it to learn AutoCad, Blender, Revit, and 3dsmax. None of which I am good at yet lol. Starting last month I got a Quest 2 headset so I could play PCVR games using a link cable like Job Sim, Blade & Sorcery, Vivecraft, and Beat Saber. I use it for 3D printing and Silhouette Studio for crafting and stuff. I wish I didn't cheap out on my motherboard and storage because 1.5 TB isn't really enough anymore and my RAM is only running at 3333 Mhz instead of 3600. There also isn't very many USB ports and RGB headers for everything I would like to connect. Soon I am going to be doing a Snowblind mod whenever the monitor I ordered comes in the mail.$1,329.92 -

Things have changed a lot over the years. I made some small changes with a case swap, new cooler, and storage back in 2021. Now it's been completely refreshed with a new platform and GPU. It's basically a new build at this point and I'm so glad with how it turned out. Also I 100% needed a GPU sag bracket, this card is HUGE. I mainly use this build for gaming and talking to friends. I recently just finished playing Nier Replicant and Nier Automata. Those were extremely fun! I also upgraded to a 1440p monitor which has been a crazy change. I bought the 7700x, RAM, and Mobo combo deal at Microcenter since that seemed like the most effective way to upgrade from my old 8600k platform. Saved a good 200 ish dollars there. As for my GPU, it is an insane improvement over my previous GTX 1070. Overall I'm happy with how this build as turned out!$1,470.90 -

Finally decided to part ways with my old and ugly pc and upgrade after 8 long years. Had to wait forever for my 3080 Ti to arrive but it was worth the wait. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out, maybe I could have done a better job with the cables but.... The only major issue is that one of my 144hz monitors doesn't have any of the ports with which I could get 144hz due to the 3080 Ti only having HDMI and DP, so I'm stuck with 60hz on that for now until I find a new one (I think)... I built this computer because for 3 years, I have been limited to playing games such as Fortnite and Minecraft on my old pc, which had an AMD Ryzen 3, Integrated graphics, and I would always have to turn down my game settings to the very lowest possible just to squeeze out 30fps. It was difficult doing even schoolwork on this computer, and one day after having to pay $300 dollars just to get an issue fixed, I decided that I was going to start saving up for a computer which would be much better than the one I currently had. I saved up all the money I could, and after almost a year of waiting I finally built it. With this new setup, I plan to play games I could have never played before, such as Rainbow Six Seige, Starfield, and more which I will discover. If I could go back, I would switch to an NZXT H6 Flow as opposed the H9, due to its similar look and the RGB version being cheaper than the H9 and coming with RGB fans. I would also switch the motherboard, since this current one only has one ARGB header, making me have to daisy chain 11 argb devices into one header. In future upgrades I plan to add some Lian-Li strimers, as they will look much better than the stock cables I have right now.$1,427.88 -

This is my first PC build in 10 years and first SFF PC. Its a powerhouse and the best PC I've built to date. I play CS2, Diablo 4, Lost Ark, Black Desert and mostly anticipating and excited for Black Myth Wukong. I plan on upgrading to 7900 XT in the near future so then I won't have to upgrade for years to come. This build was super easy for an SFF ITX build because it came with PSU and custom AIO bundle so I didn't have to think about which of those two parts to buy. Even though it was fairy easy it did take me quite some time to finish the build because I wanted to make sure everything was right. I've had to take the PC apart many times and initially I thought it was going to be a pain because of the size but its actually super easy to service as all the panels come off. I've actually changed parts a few times and added custom cables so I had to make many micro adjustments so it gets easier and faster each time. One small "mod" I did to fit the bottom thick 28mm 120mm fans on the bottom was I had to elevate the GPU and to do that I added 4 6-32 nuts and 3/4" screw. It adds about 10mm in height giving it just enough clearance to fit the fans. I hope everyone enjoys this build as much as I did!$1,658.37 -

I needed a new PC for work anyway, so I decided why not build a gaming PC that could also satisfy my work needs. And this is the build I ended up with. It runs pretty quiet and cool. It runs the Baldur's Gate 3 pretty well. Fast load time and superior graphics and all. Money well spent.$1,944.94 -

Built with the goal of fast 1080p/1440p gaming on a budget, allowing an upgrade to AM5 in the near future. A small desk footprint is a necessity with an upgrade path for all parts preferred, so the Hyte Revolt 3 was an easy choice. The rest of the parts were chosen for pure functionality based on available deals on the new and used markets.$730.99 -

I built this PC in the midst of the GPU Shortage, with parts salvaged from a prebuilt gaming machine. There are no original parts left in the case at this point, but it all started with migrating the build from the original case to the Lian Li Lancool II for improved airflow. I'll also say that case-swapping a prebuilt is more work than building from scratch. From there, over the next two years, I would go on to upgrade the power supply, RAM, GPU, AIO cooler, and added Lian Li RGB Strimer cables for extra FPS! Just two days ago, I swapped the original motherboard and CPU for one of microcenters AMD bundles and now this thing is in its penultimate form. I plan to get rid of all of the RGB and put this born-again-and-again beast into a Fractal North XL case, as much like this PC has matured over the last few years, so have my tastes...even if it means I'll lose some FPS due to lack of RGB.$3,192.90 -

CPU: The processor I used hasn't been heavily utilized, and it hasn't exceeded 50-60 degrees. This ensures that the CPU remains cool while delivering optimal performance. Cooler: The cooler I chose not only looks great with its RGB lighting, but it's also relatively quiet. However, I would like the pumps to have a smoother curve. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please leave a comment. RAM: The RAM I used is nothing special, but it gets the job done. It came with the CPU as part of a bundle. Motherboard: This is a great first build motherboard, and it also came with the CPU in a bundle. The WiFi speeds are pretty good, and it has all the necessary features for a solid gaming PC.$1,679.92 -

RAM, and an RX 580 (which was the newest component). This old workhorse could handle most indie and older/more modest 3D games at 1080p, but modern titles were only playable at 30fps and low settings. With my new (long overdue) build, I may not be playing the most graphically intense games out there, but I've been able to max out the following titles at 1440p and comfortably run them above 60fps (where possible) without the need for upscaling: Baldur's Gate III Helldivers 2 Elden Ring Armored Core VI Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Remnant II Last Epoch I've also been able to multitask while playing the aforementioned titles, i.e. streaming several videos on a second monitor without any noticeable dips in game performance.$1,574.90 -

I have moved a lot of PC parts and upgraded but this is the final upgrade. This gaming PC can tackle any 1440p game with no issues and can also compute anything for my work needs. The 5800x3d is the best CPU from AM4 to keep all my frames steady and the 3080 pushes those frames. I know I couldve gotten 'better' components but for the budget, these 2 were the best I can get comfortably without feeling guilty. The PC has no rgb but that's what I like. I wanted to keep it all black (GPU has a little bit of RGB but it's very subtle which is fine). Furthermore, routing the cables in the PC was a breeze due to the SF750's cables being sleeved so bending it was no issue at all.$1,689.95 -

It has zero RGB and is able to really show the blackness in its all its glory. The PC runs quiet, was a lot easier to cable manage since it has no extra cables from the RGB and performs very well at 1440p.
