I built my pc last year just graduated high school worked over the summer and was able to save enough to build. The main games I play are call of duty and overwatch right now. I don’t plan on upgrading till after college I wanted to spend a lot now on this build so it’ll last and so far it’s amazing on every game. Last thing I am upgrading here is more storage.$1,394.93 -

With 4k not being too relevant just yet, this was an affordable option without giving up too much performance, but still look good and perform well! This is my PC setup which I have gradually upgraded over the years with a mix of old and new components. There is some jank involved in my setup as I had to use Lego to hold a monitor in place and to have a webcam that I could use without blocking parts of my main monitor screen as it has thin bezels. The prices in the parts may not be reflective of current pricing as the prices I entered are the prices I paid at the time I acquired the parts. I mainly use it for gaming, productivity tasks, and virtualization.$4,463.00 -

It started off as a low end computer because I didn't have much money to be able to afford what I desired. And the only reason I was able to afford those PC parts was because I decided to sell some of my electronics. Those electronics include, a Nintendo Switch with all of its games and a few other things I can't remember. And after I save up enough money and bought all my parts from Amazon, only because I didn't know about Micro Center at that time. I know it sucks, and I feel bad for myself for not knowing about it. And that was the worst time for me to start building a computer since it was 2021, when the prices were too high. So my first parts were a Ryzen 3 3200g CPU, an AsRock B450M Pro4 motherboard, Viper rgb 8 GB 3200 Mhz ram, Crucial P2 500GB ssd, Aresgame 450W power supply, and a cheap MSI case. I didn't buy a GPU until 5 months later when I was able to afford one. That was when I found out about Micro Center, so I bought an AMD Radeon RX 6600 MSI MECH 2X GPU for around $460. From there on I started to slowly upgrade my PC. I changed my ram sticks to Crucial RGB 2x8 16GB 3600Mhz. I bought an AIO from cooler master, which lasted me all those months until just recently I upgraded it because my new CPU needed better cooling. Next I upgraded almost everything with the money I saved up from one of the jobs I worked at. I bought a new case, Motherboard, CPU, and new fans. The case was a Fractal design Meshify C, the Motherboard was an MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus, and the CPU was a Ryzen 5 5600g. I was finally able to play more demanding games, which is good because I love playing Campaign open world games like Far cry and Cyberpunk; and multiplayer games like Call Of Duty. And I was not done, I still wanted better gaming quality and performance. I then decided to go big or go home; Once again I saved up money from work and bought an EVGA RTX 3070 Ti, but I wasn't pleased. So I saved up a little more and bought a EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra Gaming 10Gb GPU for the low price of $770 US. And i'm not even joking, that price at Micro Center beat every other retailer, so I was very happy. Also another reason why I was able to afford all the upgrades was because I sold all my old parts to friends or other people, and I would help them put the computer together if they needed it. Then I changed my Ram again to some G.Skill Trident Z Rgb 4x8 32Gb 3200Mhz CL16 because why not. And so this year I made my last PC upgrades until I feel the need to change it up. I received an email from Micro Center of a CPU & Motherboard combo deal for an Intel platform, and I've been wanting to upgrade my CPU so that was my chance to which I took. And that was what caused me to change my AIO to a 360 mm for much better cooling. I also forgot to mention a few other parts I added and changed, which were a new case and more SSD storage. I will have all my recent parts listed, so there is no need for me to list them here. Lastly, the name Rem comes from a female from one of my favorite anime, at first sight she isn't so great but over time she becomes a lovable person just like my PC. And her hair is blue which is my favorite color. Finally, all of this happened because I was bored of playing games on console and I wanted to become better since I wasn't making anymore progress on controller. And I was inspired by Linus Tech Tips to build my own rig. I learned almost everything from his YouTube channel. I want to thank you Micro Center for all the amazing deals and for reading my rant of my long journey that lead me here.$2,276.85 -

I had a previous custom built pc and it was showing signs of age as the games were unable to run efficiently and it started to slow down and made loud noises. Boot time took around 3-5 minutes. So I decided to use some money I had saved up and buy the best components I could find to build my best custom PC so far. I didn't hold back at all and decided to go with the thermaltake p3 open air chassic with dual water cooling of the cpu and gpu through a hard tubed circuit. I made this masterpiece to play mainly Rocket League and to use it for programming as I am a Computer Science major student and need a powerful computer to be able to handle programs I might need to run. This pc can boot up in 10 seconds, shows very low temps almost always even under heavy gaming and can run almost any game with the powerful 3080. I game at 1080p but under a refresh rate of 360hz which makes the experience very pleasing to my eyes.$1,099.96 -

I build this desktop with the goal in mind to take (almost) all the components from my existing build and assemble them into a mini-itx based system. Of course, to do this I needed a different motherboard so I went from a z690 to a b660. I don't plan to overclock so the features lost from moving away from a z690 motherboard don't really affect me. This particular itx case (NR200P) comes with both tempered glass and vented aluminum panels as options. I chose the vented panel for better temperatures. Gaming performance in titles I play (which right now is Elden Ring) is just as solid as when I have this build on a larger atx form factor.$1,784.92 -

I recently completed this build I started during the holidays, upgrading from an old 4790k system. Micro Center had some great deals on 12th gen Intel CPU bundles, so I thought it was a good time. I bought the RTX 3080 used, but kind of wish I got a new 6800XT from Micro Center instead for around the same price. My main monitor is a 1440p/165hz Acer Predator with only G-Sync which is why I went with Nvidia. I fly drones and film in 4k 120fps so i need a PC capable of heavy editing, hence the 5900x cpu and the 64gb ram. PC never lags on Adobe Premiere Pro which used to be a problem on my i7 9700. Also need a good GPU for that and I love gaming so i got a 3080 RTX hooked up to a 4k 144hz monitor. Can push most modern games to 120fps and if game is a few years old such as Prey ill easily hit 144fps on 4k ultra. Mainly play Darktide, COD MW2, microsoft flight sim, and cyberpunk. I'm overclocking getting 110-120fps in 4k high on the new COD MW2. Between all the games and the massive 4k HDR video files I need lots storage so i have a grand total of 6.5TB. All SSD storage, 1.5GB on NVMe SSDs and the remaining 4GB are on SATA SSDs. I sourced the large majority of parts from Microcenter Houston. I even got there a few hours before open and stood in line 3 times before scoring the 3080, i got it 2 months after i came out. Microcenter doesn't carry EVGA mobo so that's one of the only parts i didn't get there. My cpu is liquid cooled by corsair h100i elite AOI and all 8 fans are corsair magnetic levitation ML120 pros, some RGB some not. This way ill never have to worry about the ball bearings wearing out, squeaky fans are the worst. My oldest m120 fan has been through my last 3 builds and works just as well today as it did when i got it. Will probably keep this build the way it is till EVGA gets back in the GPU game. One of the reasons i got the amd 5900x cpu was to future proof this for next gen GPUs.$4,044.74 -
