As an avid PC builder of the budget variety, I wanted to finally build a system that met my absolute requirements whilst providing a cost effective upgrade path. After endless research, focusing on the games I would be playing and scouring endless eBay listings, I finally came up with the Simplicity PC. For years I have always built something that I considered to be the best that I had built, but my part choices never seemed to be very balanced. To keep the costs down, I either skimped out on the CPU, GPU and/or my choice of case. This time I realized I would have to let my guard down if I wanted to build something that I would be truly happy with. It's not always about how much money you can save, but knowing exactly what you need and precisely focusing your budget around that. With PC parts coming down in price (Due to bitcoin mining crash), I thought it would be time to seize the opportunity. I managed to find some fantastic deals on eBay, some not as cheap as I would like but much better than retail prices. I feel the simple things in life are the best and I wanted to build a system that screamed price to performance and efficiency. Gaming and day to day tasks are a breeze, I have even streamed on this system and it performs like a champ. I am very happy with the results!$565.43 -

All of a sudden, I needed a PC for school and my mom helped take me to me Micro Center to get the parts, along with covering half of the cost (the rest I paid with my birthday money). A friend of mine who knows how to build PCs helped me with it, and it turned out just they way I wanted it. I plan on making stuff using programs like Adobe Premiere Pro or Blender, but I also might as well use the PC to play games because of how well it runs.$579.92 -

This case was perfect for my personal build, and I thought it'd look amazing on my desk. I mainly play fortnite and roblox, so I didn't spend too much money on specs. On the other hand, I tried to make it look as aesthetically pleasing as possible since I'd be staring at it longingly for most of the day. I even spray painted the GPU so it'd fit the white case. I'd consider this a mid-range PC in terms of performance, but I think it looks amazing visually. I plan on upgrading the GPU and CPU once I'm free from crippling debt LOL.$656.96 -

This was a budget build I did for a friend, keeping cost in mind, but also a clean look and decent performance. The combination of Ryzen 5600 with RX 6600 is amazing, giving me over 200fps on fortnite (performance mode) on a 1080p, for the budget, this is an amazing build, still looking cool and modern. Sadly, all prices went up in microcenter a month later and I'm not able to replicate this build, the cheapest I could find was a Ryzen 5500 with GTX 1660 Super and a B450 board, paying over $50 on tob of this build, too sad.$664.91 -

I play games such as Rocket League on this and my sister uses this for games such as Sims. I may eventually start overclocking this build as the thermals are great at current usage but I have not done any overclocking yet because i am able to get overkill FPS for the old 60Hz monitor I currently have. Counter Strike 2 was recently announced which reignited my interest in building a PC. I didn't want to spend a ton of money - the goal was to keep it under $1000. This gaming PC was made after a few of the family's windows laptops were damaged. We have a mac at home, but wanted a dedicated Windows PC at home. I used one of the Micro Center Intel bundles as the basis for the gaming build (The $250 one with the Core i5), then picked out parts to build on top of it. A good thing for my current budget was that I had various storage devices at hand for this build. I did decide to get the case elsewhere as I found an open box deal for a case that normally costs $100. I am happy with how things have turned out for this build. For upgrades, I plan on buying more sticks of ram to double the memory capacity and I am in the middle of getting be quiet case fans for the desktop as the case only had two pre-installed and were quite loud and rumbled a lot. I know the motherboard supports the current 14th gen cpu's, so I may do that whenever those go down in price. And if necessary, I might change the CPU cooler if the current $20 one craps out in the future.$772.92 -

A few years back I bought an I5-8400 Nitro 50 and I've always felt the parts needed to be cooler. I saw an old Enermax Chakra box headed to the landfill and snagged it. The old motherboard, Athlon and fan are on my wall. At present I have the ram (Adata DDR4 2666 2X8) motherboard (Acer) and processor (I5-8400) from the Nitro 50 in the Chakra. I had to use aviation snips to cut the solid steel drive cages of the Chakra to make room for the mobo. The 650 GT PSU and RX 6600 Mech are recent additions. All in all it dropped temps on my processor by 10C and when the original GPU was in there it dropped for about 15 C of headroom. I attribute it to the massive space increase and the big 250mm fan on the side of the case.$774.98 -

I'm thrilled to share my very first gaming PC setup with you all. After years of living in the Mac world, I've finally made the leap into PC gaming, and let me tell you, it's been an incredible journey! Why I Built It: Switching from Mac to PC was a big decision for me, but I wanted to explore the world of gaming in a whole new way. I built this PC because I wanted something powerful enough to run all the latest games smoothly while still fitting within my budget. It's amazing how customizable and versatile PC gaming can be, and I couldn't wait to dive in. Purpose: This PC may be my first, but it's already exceeded my expectations. It's more than enough for me to enjoy gaming to the fullest, whether I'm exploring the vastness of space in "Elite Dangerous" or battling it out in matches of "Overwatch." Games I Play: As someone new to PC gaming, I'm still exploring all the amazing titles out there, but I've already found a couple of favorites. "Elite Dangerous" is perfect for satisfying my craving for space exploration and adventure, while "Overwatch" scratches that competitive itch with its intense multiplayer action. I'm constantly discovering new games to play and loving every minute of it. Future Upgrades and Reflections: While this PC may be perfect for me right now, I'm excited to see where my gaming journey takes me in the future. As I become more experienced with PC gaming, I might consider upgrading certain components to further enhance my gaming experience. First of all. let me make it clear that this build is not done according to my tastes and preferences. At all. However, I have a friend who is completely enamored with RGB components and so this otherwise-basic build was assembled according to what he wanted. The 6600xt is a midrange card that runs 1080p and occasionally 1440p games like Overwatch 2. Air cooling (and not a liquid AIO unit) was chosen for the cpu so that my friend wouldn't have to worry about an element of an AIO failing in future years of use.$884.92 -

Planning to upgrade CPU and GPU along with motherboard and RAM to future-proof it for upcoming years. Started from a pre-built and kept on replacing parts to make it my custom build. I learned through YouTube videos and watching people create pcs. Honestly, I should've put in some money towards the CPU or save money for a better GPU instead of purchasing 64 GB of Corsair RAM as it is not necessary to have that much RAM for gaming including the fact that you don't really need RGB on your ram unless you like it that way.$934.21 -

I built this because ever since I was a kid I always wanted a pc and I started off with an Xbox and have actually gotten a pc a while ago then returned it because of a wifi issue that we thought was the pcs fault. Then again we got a pc but I actually didn't know I had to plug it into the GPU so we returned it again, and after all that I finally have a pc that I've been using for a couple years now and it really hasn't had many problems at all. I like to just game, play with friends, overall just having a computer is very easy and is useful in many things.$946.95 -

I built it for pure enjoyment of building a pc, it is something I have wanted to do for a long time. I built it mainly to play games, I like to play Fortnite, Rocket League, Assassins Creed and many other games. I am planning on adding an AIO, upgrading the RAM and adding some more RGB. This build was very fun and was filled with learning moments. One thing I would have done different would be to put the CPU cooler on the correct direction the first time. When I first placed it I had the AMD logo to the right and it cover the RAM slots, so I had to take it off and reset it, and this was a large waste of time.$1,002.92 -
