rocket league machine
by K Posted on: 6/5/2023Build Description
i currently have a teenager who is obsessed with playing rocket leauge. the purpose of this build was to create something that would ease the conflict he's having with his siblings over access over a single nintendo switch console. the parts of this build were chosen with two things in mind. #1 budget, keeping costs down as much as possible and #2, performance in rocket league. i'm sure there might be a cpu limitation or bottleneck with more demanding games, but this is literally only going to be used for rocket league. if he moves on to a more demanding game in the future, then there's always the potential to upgrade the cpu and / or the graphics card.
Favorite Feature
it's icing on the cake that he gets significantly better performance in rocket league with this modest pc build. i think the console version of rocket league caps at 30fps. with this build, we are getting between 60 and 100fps at 1080p resolution.
