This build is a celebration of minimalist design, combining high performance with a sleek, all-white aesthetic. The Intel Xeon W5-3435X, a 16-core powerhouse, is paired with an ASRock B550M Pro SE motherboard, ensuring robust performance for multitasking and professional workloads. The MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Gaming X Slim graphics card, with its triple fan design, provides excellent cooling and fits perfectly with the build’s white theme. The NZXT H9 Flow case offers ample airflow, keeping all components cool even under heavy loads, and the tempered glass panels showcase the build’s clean interior. Powering this build is a 650W semi-modular PowerSpec PSU, providing reliable and efficient power delivery. For storage, the Samsung 870 EVO SSD ensures fast boot times and quick access to data. Usage: I use my PC primarily for gaming, content creation, and general productivity tasks. The system handles everything smoothly, from playing graphically demanding games to running resource-intensive applications like video editing software. Things I Would Change: • GPU: If I had the budget, I would upgrade the GPU to a higher-end model to future-proof the build for upcoming game releases. • Storage: I might add more storage in the future, especially another high-capacity SSD, to accommodate more games and large files. • RGB Lighting: While the RGB lighting$1,138.92 -

I've been trying to convince him to replace his 2016 16 inch Macbook Pro, but he really held off on the upgrade for a while. But, after trying to use the Macbook for heavy 4k video editing tasks in Final-Cut he realized that the laptop wouldn't cut it. So that was the very beginning of this ongoing project of a computer. The finished result is what you see here and it's probably one of the most challenging computers I have ever built. This was mainly because of the software situation, I underestimated the work you put in to get MacOS Ventura installed on a non Mac computer. But I am happy to say that it is incredibly stable (as long as he doesn't mess with it) and performs similarly to a $6000 Mac Pro. For the parts I opted for the i9 12900k because it was a huge upgrade from the 4 core i7 in his laptop, and it came in the best value (in my opinion) micro center bundle with the i9 motherboard and ram for only $400. I also went for an all Noctua cooling setup due to the quality, durability, longevity and most importantly whisper quiet operation as he does music production/recording in the same room as this beast. I also went for two separate 1tb drives to ensure ease of use and compatibility with a dual boot system. The 6800 from MSI was my first choice due to it's compatibility with Hackintosh and value for money when I bought it. I chose The Fractal North because my dad enjoys woodworking when he has the time, and it also has an absolutely incredibly professional yet unique look to it. The PC boots up to a boot menu where you can select which OS you are using (refer to image 18). And boots up relatively quick for a hackintosh (around 40 seconds). Everything in macos works except wifi and bluetooth at the moment, since his current wifi/bluetooth card is unsupported in macos. So we will likely add a broadcom chip which should be compatible out of the box with hackintosh (but you never know). I will update the part list if I add the chip and it works. My dad was extremely happy with the upgrade and I am glad that he is. There were many hurdles to overcome when troubleshooting issues and bugs, but after installing the correct Kexts and finalizing bios settings it was ready to go. I hope you all enjoy the build as much as we did, it's definitely one of my favorite builds I have ever put together.$1,309.92 -

This is my latest (as of 2024) Sim Racing, Photo Editing, Streaming, Powerhouse PC. I wanted to create something unique but functional for my purposes. Case selection and issues with Case: I loved the MSI 700R case the moment I saw it but realized that I would need to modify it a little bit. Just like Cooler Master cases, MSI does not believe in locating the 24-pin Grommets parallel to the actual connectors on MBs. I had a friend of mine make a custom cutout which would allow me to swap the factory grommets to the new openings. Secondly, the included vertical GPU bracket is not square. In fact, it was off center in two dimensions. This required a bit of handy dremel work and I also had to try different riser cables that would allow me to play with the angle as much as possible. Finally, this case is not really friendly with custom loop cooling despite the advertising between MSI and EK for this case. The shroud that is designed to cover the area below the D5 pump is totally useless and borderline impossible to install and then remove once the system is together. The first time I assembled this system I installed the shroud and quickly realized I would be in for trouble when it comes time to draining the loop. I was a bit wiser for the second build up. Now we can see the distro plate better, I have access to the drain valve but the PSU basement could be seen. I created a custom cover for this area and used double some 3m double sided tape to adhere the cover. MB and EK specific WB for Asus Hero. EK strikes again with issues with their tooling. I had to file down one of the heatsinks that comes with the new EK replacement WB.$3,840.33 -

This is replacing a 2018 Acer Predator Helios 300 that in turn replaced a gaming desktop build from 2014. I typically refresh my builds in 5 year cycles, turning the last piece of hardware into a server. The 2014 desktop is still going strong as a server and the laptop died, so I'm hoping this build lasts another 5 years. The H9 case is beautiful, but not as easy to work with as I'd hoped. There are a lot of parts, and it can be a pain to get the cable bar on and off. Overall, I'm very happy with the way it turned out.$2,654.92 -

It's currently running Ubuntu 24.04, but will add another M.2 SSD for Windows and gaming. Currently I'm participating in multiple scientific distributed computing projects with boinc, I have transcoded ripped blu rays (1080p so far) at a stable 500 fps to AV1 mkv's using ffmpeg (cuda hw accelerated). I plan to run an LLM locally, and want to see if i can run a 70B model without too much quantization, and compare to my old rig (core i7 3770, 16GB ram, GTX 1080). That only ran 13B models max. I work primarily in Adobe programs, especially Premiere Pro and After Effects for film editing and special effects. While it hasn't been built for aesthetics it works very well. Both programs have a very low draw on the GPU so I actually still have my old NVIDIA GTX 980! Everything else has been upgraded over time though, with as much RAM as I can afford as both programs eat up as much of it as you let them. Most of my film work is done for a local theater for their productions, marketing and live special effects. In the future I definitely want to focus on aesthetics since that's the biggest lacking thing on this build. I don't love the case too much so I think that will be the first to go. It's not amazing at airflow but has served its purpose very well otherwise! I have a 360mm radiator ready to go in that won't fit in the top, so a new case will help a lot. Otherwise this has gotten me through some pretty demanding projects and has been wonderful!$2,140.90 -

First and foremost, if you want the absolute best PTP(Price To Performance)PLEASE do not give in to any of those prebuilt pcs, they are built and sold for a profit(which I, in all means respect.)Like I got a 4070 TI Super and Ryzen 9 7950x3d, With the amount that I spent I could only get an i9-13900kf and 4070 TI from NZXT and from Build Redux I could only get a 4070 TI Super and 7950x with only 16gb ram(in NZXT and custom I got 32gb). My first desktop PC was an insanely overpriced Alienware prebuilt (please don't crucify me, I was 12) that I got when I was in middle school. It was extremely heavy, had terrible airflow, and generally gave me a whole heap of issues during the like 7.5 years that I had it. Even though it was clunky, I'll always love my GTX 1070 for lasting so long and giving me many unforgettable gaming memories, from the Halo series, to Metro, to Resident Evil. Needless to say, I was long overdue for an upgrade, and with working part-time in college I was able to finally build my first PC and it was a blast. I used to primarily play older games like around 2012 to before, always at 1080p 60hz max. For this build I wanted to make the jump to 2K or 1440p and shoot for a higher refresh rate at at least the 144hz mark. I also wanted water cooling and plenty of fans that I could control to optimize airflow, without having rainbow vomit RBG everywhere (although I see and respect everyone's colorful builds). I've been wanting to build my own PC for years, but after buying the Dead Space remake on steam and having it be borderline unplayable on the lowest settings, I knew it was time for an upgrade. I've stress tested my build with Dead Space, RDR2, GTA V, Metro Exodus, No Man's Sky, and even some Half Life Alyx and couldn't be happier with my target performance. Having started with a 500GB HDD in middle school and eventually maturing into a digital hoarder, I was super happy knowing I could take advantage of my MOBOs 3 M.2 SSD slots, and the added SSD and HDD bracket hidden in the back of my case. Microcenter's bundles made building my PC a breeze, and the only thing I did have trouble on was my GPU. I know there's a lot of discourse regarding Nvidia's 4000 series and their VRAM, but with the market stabilizing a bit after everything, I felt glad at the end of the day with my choice. Performance wise I couldn't be happier. Super fast bootup and processing times, access to DLSS and ray tracing, and an insane boost in quality and frames compared to my old 1070 make using this PC night and day. I picked up a 1440p 165Hz LG UltraGear monitor and WOW; for the price I spent (which was way less than I spent on my prebuilt back then) the performance was great. I feel set for the foreseeable future, besides replacing my AIO in 5 years or inevitably buying more storage and drives. Besides that, there's not much else. The case and build went really smoothly, and I did get confused at some parts but I worked it out (such as forgetting to remove the plastic sticker on my CPU cooler...or not removing the grate my AIO radiator attached to for easier screwing). Overall I'm very happy, and using an unlocked "k" intel CPU finally let's me enable XMP and get the most out of my RAM (6000MHz!).$1,264.94 -

I've been piecing this build together a bit at a time for the last six months. I mainly kept an eye out for components that would be a significant upgrade over my 11900K / 3070 Ti desktop build. Shoutout to the employees at my local microcenter who take time to hunt down the random clearance items I order. Everything but the AIO cooler and the ssd storage devices were bought at microcenter. Currently on the 13700k, I have all P cores overclocked to 5.8 with all E cores at 4.4 with vcore set to 1.35 and medium LLC. My ddr5 is modestly overclocked from 6000 to 6400 for the time being. I need to re-learn how to overclock ram because a lot of bios settings have become more complex since ddr3-ddr4 days. From what I understand, Hynix A die modules should be able to overclock significantly higher frequencies - I just need to learn how to pull that off.$1,624.25 -

The build of this PC is to play all the latest games from AAA titles to FPS at max settings in 1440p. Games I was targeting were Microsoft Flight simulator, Cyberpunk 2077, Call of Duty, Counter Strike, just to name a few. Also, cooling was another big factor in getting a bigger mid tower case, since I wanted a 360 radiator to provide maximum cooling to the very hot Intel i7 13700K. As for upgrades, this case has enough room to fit a more powerful GPU to game in 4K in the future. Aside from performance, I wanted this build to be aesthetically pleasing to look at with all the RGB lights in the right places.$2,394.93 -

I have been planning to do a pc build for many years, but never got around to it until now. I am upgrading from my Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 (2020) gaming laptop to this amazing new PC! The pc has a NVidia RTX 4060 graphics card, with an Intel i7 13700K CPU. I put in 32GB of RAM as well as 1TB of SSD storage and another TB of HDD storage. The PC is water cooled with an AIO liquid cooler. All of this is inside of my mini-tower with a microATX motherboard. I use the PC mainly for gaming, and some editing for my YouTube channel as well! The games I play are mainly Minecraft, Destiny 2, Forza Horizon 5, and more. I indeed did build the entire computer on my own using a guide on YouTube, which I'm pretty proud of! Overall, I am 150% satisfied with my new computer, and I am hoping to keep it for a long time!$1,611.95 -

All the parts are from micro center apart from the graphics card I got for Black Friday on NewEgg. I was new to the pc gaming thing but honestly I fell in love with all of it. Tinkering, the setup, and especially the building part. It’s cool knowing you chose every part you put into that pc and it’s unique to you.$1,679.92 -

Its a complete mishmash of parts but I tried to keep it somewhat coherent. I pay on 1440p ulatrawide, and this pc is plenty for that. I play Desinty 2, BeamNG, and Rdr2 mostly, with some indie games as well. Ive had quite a bit of fun overclocking the 12900k, that chip is amazing.$1,614.90 -

This is my 3rd build...usually refresh about every 5 years. Love tinkering with it and tweaking it. Did not set out to build such an ASUS focused rig, but it just ended up that way. LOL. Pretty happy with it so far, but wish I could afford an OLED 4K and a 4090! Also would love to get more in to customizing and liquid custom cooling. Maybe next time.$2,541.00 -
