Went with Micro ATX form factor and single color RGB fans for simplicity. AMD processor with AMD graphic card is a plus. Sticked to standard 16GB RAM and 1TB NVMe and didn't go crazy with specs. No case mod cables as well but still looks good with neat cable management.$845.95 -

This is my PC setup which I have gradually upgraded over the years with a mix of old and new components. There is some jank involved in my setup as I had to use Lego to hold a monitor in place and to have a webcam that I could use without blocking parts of my main monitor screen as it has thin bezels. The prices in the parts may not be reflective of current pricing as the prices I entered are the prices I paid at the time I acquired the parts. I mainly use it for gaming, productivity tasks, and virtualization.$4,463.00 -

I got an older retro case from my boss and decided to finally make a sleeper build. It was missing a side panel, so I modeled one and had it laser cut from plexiglass. Used all Noctua fans to try and match the beige case and for great cooling. The case also had minimal cooling (as the previous PC did not need it), so I needed to cut a hole in the top for a fan and get creative with some other fan placements. I play mostly last-gen games, so performance was chosen to be pretty middle ground. I also tend to do a lot of system admin related tasks, so having strange drives like a hot-swap SATA bay helps immensely. I also like retro PC tasks, so I added an adapter to make the floppy disk drive function as a USB device. Overall wonderful build, the only thing I would do differently is try to add more USB ports, as this case does not have any front-panel ports and not enough rear ones. I would like to eventually paint the two drives in front, but have yet to find the time.$1,118.42 -

Had a budget of around $800, and got a SUPER SOLID rig. Micro center had great deals with their bundles and got a killer deal! I built this because my sister had a potato dell optiplex 9020 and her internet card gave out so i was like why not use this excuse to get the benefit of the bundle deals in microcenter plus i live like 10 mins away and i built it for much cheaper than i would've if it wasnt from microcenter. She mainly games, uses it for school, draws from time to time and I was also interested in grabbing a amd graphics card and the 6700xt was super popular and so good from the statistics i have seen it just demolished the 3060 that i was at first trying to get so I just grabbed the 6700xt for such a low price and I got the i7-12700k bundle !$1,531.81 -

I decided to pull the trigger to build my first PC for the first time because lay offs are coming soon, and I needed a machine to continue with work and gaming! I'm a graphic designer and work in esports so I dabble into both! I can't wait to get into PC games and continue playing with friends that are strictly only on PC. I purposely went with AM5 to make it easier for upgrades in the future. The gpu upgrade will definitely be awhile yet, but I plan to get some lian li sl120 infinity fans in there and if needed more ram and storage down the line! Hoping to also be better at cable management as the journey goes on!$1,182.93 -

Meant to be a gaming rig/workstation to serve as a replacement for my old college laptop as I go off into the world. So far, I'm catching up on older titles I've been missing out on (Tomb Raider, Dark Souls, Doom, etc.), but I'm hoping to be able to run newer games like HZD and GotG without much trouble. Should be a perfect size though as I'll be moving around the country quite a bit.$930.82 -

I had a previous custom built pc and it was showing signs of age as the games were unable to run efficiently and it started to slow down and made loud noises. Boot time took around 3-5 minutes. So I decided to use some money I had saved up and buy the best components I could find to build my best custom PC so far. I didn't hold back at all and decided to go with the thermaltake p3 open air chassic with dual water cooling of the cpu and gpu through a hard tubed circuit. I made this masterpiece to play mainly Rocket League and to use it for programming as I am a Computer Science major student and need a powerful computer to be able to handle programs I might need to run. This pc can boot up in 10 seconds, shows very low temps almost always even under heavy gaming and can run almost any game with the powerful 3080. I game at 1080p but under a refresh rate of 360hz which makes the experience very pleasing to my eyes.$1,099.96 -

I build this desktop with the goal in mind to take (almost) all the components from my existing build and assemble them into a mini-itx based system. Of course, to do this I needed a different motherboard so I went from a z690 to a b660. I don't plan to overclock so the features lost from moving away from a z690 motherboard don't really affect me. This particular itx case (NR200P) comes with both tempered glass and vented aluminum panels as options. I chose the vented panel for better temperatures. Gaming performance in titles I play (which right now is Elden Ring) is just as solid as when I have this build on a larger atx form factor.$1,784.92 -

Named after a mountain in my home state, partially built as a celebration of moving back to a place with alpine terrain. Used for software dev, basic 3d design, and gaming. I still have a lot of things that I want to do with this build, including a better custom cable sleeving job, better ram (hopefully Gigabyte gets their bios firmware figured out soon), custom gpu backplate, and I am thinking of making a custom engraved walnut accent in the space between the front panel fans and the motherboard. The case was a dream to build in, as has been my experience with the Lancools, although I did have one of the included rgb controller pins break off easier than I think it should have. And gigabyte still hasn't released a bios version that will let me run EXPO ram speeds stable so....$1,342.73 -

I didn't care about having the best graphics card or processor but wanted a smallish build that was all around capable and this PC is perfect so far. I plan to do some moderate gaming on it. So far, I get about 120 FPS in Destiny 2 with max settings and load times are nearly non existent. For the case, I really like the cable management, build quality, and air flow. I recently completed this build I started during the holidays, upgrading from an old 4790k system. Micro Center had some great deals on 12th gen Intel CPU bundles, so I thought it was a good time. I bought the RTX 3080 used, but kind of wish I got a new 6800XT from Micro Center instead for around the same price. My main monitor is a 1440p/165hz Acer Predator with only G-Sync which is why I went with Nvidia. I fly drones and film in 4k 120fps so i need a PC capable of heavy editing, hence the 5900x cpu and the 64gb ram. PC never lags on Adobe Premiere Pro which used to be a problem on my i7 9700. Also need a good GPU for that and I love gaming so i got a 3080 RTX hooked up to a 4k 144hz monitor. Can push most modern games to 120fps and if game is a few years old such as Prey ill easily hit 144fps on 4k ultra. Mainly play Darktide, COD MW2, microsoft flight sim, and cyberpunk. I'm overclocking getting 110-120fps in 4k high on the new COD MW2. Between all the games and the massive 4k HDR video files I need lots storage so i have a grand total of 6.5TB. All SSD storage, 1.5GB on NVMe SSDs and the remaining 4GB are on SATA SSDs. I sourced the large majority of parts from Microcenter Houston. I even got there a few hours before open and stood in line 3 times before scoring the 3080, i got it 2 months after i came out. Microcenter doesn't carry EVGA mobo so that's one of the only parts i didn't get there. My cpu is liquid cooled by corsair h100i elite AOI and all 8 fans are corsair magnetic levitation ML120 pros, some RGB some not. This way ill never have to worry about the ball bearings wearing out, squeaky fans are the worst. My oldest m120 fan has been through my last 3 builds and works just as well today as it did when i got it. Will probably keep this build the way it is till EVGA gets back in the GPU game. One of the reasons i got the amd 5900x cpu was to future proof this for next gen GPUs.$4,044.74 -
