Instead of trying to figure out what parts needed to be replaced, I thought it was a good time to just build an entire new PC from scratch. I built this mainly for gaming as I use a Macbook Pro for work and other day to day tasks. Given that this was my first build and I wasn't too confident, I did not want to spend a whole lot and just opted for the best bang for the buck I could get. So far it's been a beast and I plan on adding some Noctua fans in the future to quiet it down a bit and improve airflow.$1,359.92 -

I work primarily in Adobe programs, especially Premiere Pro and After Effects for film editing and special effects. While it hasn't been built for aesthetics it works very well. Both programs have a very low draw on the GPU so I actually still have my old NVIDIA GTX 980! Everything else has been upgraded over time though, with as much RAM as I can afford as both programs eat up as much of it as you let them. Most of my film work is done for a local theater for their productions, marketing and live special effects. In the future I definitely want to focus on aesthetics since that's the biggest lacking thing on this build. I don't love the case too much so I think that will be the first to go. It's not amazing at airflow but has served its purpose very well otherwise! I have a 360mm radiator ready to go in that won't fit in the top, so a new case will help a lot. Otherwise this has gotten me through some pretty demanding projects and has been wonderful!$2,140.90 -

I had this case for a while and wanted to fill it with high end hardware that also had great value. In hindsight, I could have done a bit better. The PCIE extender caused crashes when running at 4.0 speeds so I had to bump it down because of that. Since I can't overclock a 5600X3D and it was running at PCIE Gen 3.0, I should have went with a A520 board instead of a B550 in order to save money.$1,097.96 -

Purchased this for a relative who was looking for a budget PC to be able to play games on their 1080p monitor. Strictly on a budget of $600 and while building with all new parts would have went over their budget, I was able to help them find something used from a friend who was upgrading their setup and selling their old desktop PC. Dusted/cleaned out the case and leaned up the cabling before installing Windows 10 and making sure everything works. Hopefully this PC will last for at least 7-10 years.$600.00 -

Built this for someone who wanted the latest AM5 and they were upgrading from an old AM3 build which was almost 10 years old and wanted to build something to last just as long. I found one on eBay and had planned a whole build around it. That is not this. I walked into a local pawnshop I visited often and saw a pc they had for $500. It WAS working when they got it and a previous customer looked at it. However, when I went to see it did not boot. They could not figure what the issue was and sold it to me at $340 no tax. I take it home and reseated the ram. It worked. I cleaned it up got all the weird bits and incorrect wiring corrected. It was a lil nasty but nothing a duster can't deal with. (I know its dusty.) My main plans for this are most likely a Case Swap + GPU Upgrade + more RGB Lights. Maybe some small Etsy stuff for decoration.$527.00 -

Ended up winning a reddit giveaway for a 4090 that I wouldn't be able to fit in my current build. After struggling to sell the 4090 on eBay, I decided to just build a whole new rig to accomodate it. Don't worry, my 5600G build went to my dad so he'd have a proper office PC, and I'm hanging onto my 6700XT in case the 4090 ever decides to off itself (*knock on wood*). AMD Ryzen 5 5600x CPU- Purchased at Microcenter with a special sale price of $129.99 using their credit card for an additional 5% off. Probably the best price to performance deal I’ve ever seen on a 6 core 12 thread CPU. Asus B550-F - Quality budget B550 board purchased at Microcenter with $20 bundle saving with the CPU and 5% off using their credit card. Has 4 RAM slots and both 5v ARGB and 12V RGB headers. XPG RGB 16gb DDR4 3600mhz - Purchased at Amazon with 3% off using the Amazon credit card. Solid speed for Ryzen 5600x and has RGB! Gigabyte 1tb SSD - Purchased at Amazon as well with 3% off using credit card. Can’t go wrong with any NVME drive honestly. Asus Strix Radeon 570 4gb - Purchased used on eBay. In my opinion, the RX 570 is still the budget king for 1080p gaming. NZXT S340 White - Standard mid-sized ATX case purchased on a long time ago and was used in a previous build, reusing it in this build. This has become my favorite budget case for “clean” builds. For $50 (I originally picked it up years ago) it has tempered glass and looks great. PowerSpec 650w Bronze - Power supply I had from my previous build. It doesn’t have black cables, but since I had sleeved cable extensions it didn’t matter. I assumed a price since I already had it laying around. Gigabyte Aorus ATC800 CPU Cooler - This thing is massive! I really liked the RGB look on this CPU Cooler and filled out the space nicely in this case. Previously had a Corsair H100i which ended up failing, so I wanted to try something different with using a large air CPU cooler. This turned out to be one of my favorite builds so far. I like the theme and it looks super clean!$589.97
