My brother has fallen on some legit tough times medically and will be staying with me for a while. I had always wanted to do a water cool build, so I figured why not build this with him so he will have a pc to play on while here with me. Nothing better to bond siblings than gaming!$2,079.91 -

It was my first gaming computer. It has had a number of different configurations in it since then. It started with an AMD FX-6100 and a GTX 650 Ti, then was upgraded to a GTX 970 in 2015. At some point I switched the motherboard, CPU and RAM to some components I got from college which consisted of an Intel i5 8gb of RAM and an Asus motherboard. In 2020 I upgraded the GPU again to an RTX 2080 Super and put in a new power supply to handle it. In 2021 I upgraded the motherboard to a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite, the CPU to a Ryzen 7 3700X and put in 32gb of DDR4 RAM. In 2022 I upgraded the GPU to an RTX 3070 Ti and also upgraded the power supply to an EVGA 850 B5. I've been using the same case since I got it in 2012 but I am thinking of getting a new one that supports liquid cooling better.$1,150.95 -

I built this gaming rig in 2020 to treat myself after using a MacBook pro for 7 years while in pharmacy school. Used computer to complete multiple pharmacy residency projects. On the side got back into playing some of my favorite games such as .hack GU. After I finished 2 years of residency and had a bit more free time to explore new games such as back for blood and table top simulator with friends. I'm hoping to explore new games with amazing graphics in the future$1,804.48 -

For general usage, some gaming. I wish I had more games to play but most modern games are either absolute trash that isn't worth playing or indies that are worth playing but don't require much in the terms of power. The 3900XT I got on sale after the 5000 series came out, works well, cooled by a Noctua NH D15. Should I have waited to get a 5950X? Maybe, but I don't need that much. 32GB of ram, surprisngly I regularly use around 24GB of it so I'm glad I went over the 16GB I usually default to. The motherboard is alright, it works. The 5700XT has to be the centerpiece, I replaced the original cooler with a Raijintek Morpheus II and two Noctua fans. Never goes below 55c even during full load and is always silent. A much better experience compared to when the fan bearings were worn to the point of buzzing from casual mining for a few years. Despite the drama surrounding crypto this 5700XT has heated my room during the winter and put food onto the table for the past two years. Can't complain about that. The PSU I'm glad I went a little overkill initially. When I got this I had a Ryzen 5 1400 and an RX560, something that could probably be powered by a 450W unit. However now it's still got plenty of extra for further upgrades. The case is a Corsair 275Q. It's not very quiet and difficult to work in. I would have rather bought a quality test bench with this money. I need lots of hard drive space.$1,860.89 -

This is my first ever PC build, that originally had an MSI 2070 super right before the GPU shortage. I was then lucky enough to upgrade just weeks after the 3070 launch, and was somehow lucky enough to get the Gigabyte Vision series graphics card to perfectly compliment my all white build. I’ve also always loved Formula 1 Racing, and since I now built my first ever PC I’m able to enjoy it even more with a Thrustmaster T300. I am in college, so this PC is more than good enough for all around everyday use, and amazing for high refresh rate gaming at 1440p. #BitWit$2,169.90 -

I go back and forth between this PC and a iMac for editing and posting videos. It’s running a AMD r7 3700x I bought from y’all with a MSI x570 Pro Carbon board, 32gb 4400mhz thermaltake memory, Asus ROG Radeon 5700xt OC, msi 360r liquid cooler, cooler master case with extra exhaust fan I installed. 750w EVGA Gold psu. Ran to a Asus Tuff gaming 35” ultra wide 100hz. Using Razer Tournament edition keyboard and Razer Viper mouse. I also use a Razer Wolverine controller and Logitech x52 flight system for certain games. With the 5700xt it runs 1440 res very well games and smooth like butter. In future I’d like to upgrade the GPU (had to go with what I could find at the time) and maybe a good steering wheel pedals and shifter.$3,099.95 -

Had an AMD A10 7700K Black Edition with Asrock fatal1ty fm2a88x+ killer board, 8GB Crucial Ballistix RAM 1600Mhz, MSI R9 270 Twin Frozr 2GB, 128GB Samsung 840 PRO SSD and 1TB WDBlue HDD, EVGA 500W 80 Plus PSU, in a Corsair Carbide Spec01 lol. This is my complete overhaul (2.5 years-ish old now. Newest part is GPU, originally had an Asus RX580 4GB) Built this purposely for casual gaming at 1440p high/ultra, photo editing and minor video work.. Running 2 monitors ACER Nitro VG271U and MSi Optix MAG24C.. (Yeah cringey cause not matching monitors lol) Peripherals are Glorious Model D, Glorious TKL Keyboard with lubed and filmed Gateron Yellow switches, Glorious Extended mouse pad. For Audio I'm currently running FiiO E10K USB DAC/AMP to a Philips Fidelio X2HR open back headphones. Speakers are Logitech z623 system. Mic is a Fifine T669 with boom arm and shock mount. Aiming to upgrade to AIO cooling since I have the space.. Feel free to roast or suggest anything lol$1,992.79 -

PC 2 I made for my spouse to work on and also play pc games with me. Most of the games I play are found on Steam, Blizzard, Epic Games, LoL, Valorant, etc. I'm a OIF/OEF Vet myself, my teenage kids wanted to get into PC gaming (they're "upgrading" from consoles/Fortnite) and I come from an automotive repair background so putting together a PC is trivial in comparison to an engine or fine tuning suspension for an auto cross track. Anywho, future upgrades to include the new 6800 XT or some 3080's were available but I'll deal with having 5700 XT's for now as a place holder. Almost returned both these NZXT cases (still within 30day window) and buy 2 new Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini cases + 12*LL120 case fans but too lazy to take apart both PC components JUST to have the NEW case.$3,267.86 -

I played on a gaming laptop for awhile but it was time to build something for myself and call it my own. I built it to be able to play with my friends who also built their own PCs. Also there was quite the incentive when I realized the greater performance you get on a PC when compared to a console, especially when playing cross-platform games. I play Call of Duty, Rainbow Six Siege, Overwatch, and Destiny 2 mainly. It definitely was a fun time putting it all together with the help of my roommates. I can definitely tell the difference from my Xbox One and my gaming laptop (which had a 1660ti in it). It runs very smooth and boots up super quick with the M.2 drive. At first I was a tad hesitant to get an AMD card because Nvidia is the top dog but so far, I've had no regrets as it has proven itself worthy for giving my the frames I want in games.$1,457.87 -

This is my first PC build I mainly built it because I've always wanted to build a pc and game on one after such a long time of wanting this year I decided and end up with this build. I love playing Apex Legends and look forward to playing the new far cry game. I would definitely like to upgrade my GPU to something more powerful because I am looking to do some video editing and animation, also would love to upgrade my cooling system to water cooling so I can overclock, I love tweaking my PC for more power and efficiency.
