I built this PC mostly for gaming, and it’s honestly more than I’ll ever need right now. My main games are Destiny 2, Warzone, FC 25, Helldivers, and Peak, and this rig handles all of them flawlessly at high settings without breaking a sweat. I went with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D for its insane gaming performance paired with the RTX 5080, which gives me plenty of power for smooth 4K gameplay and futureproofing. I chose 32GB of fast DDR5 RAM to keep things snappy and the Corsair RM850x PSU for stability and long-term reliability. I don’t have any plans for future upgrades since this setup is already way ahead of my needs. If anything, the only thing I might have done differently is considered a slightly larger case for extra airflow, but so far temps are under control.$2,099.94 -

The old build still runs great, but can't keep up with current titles. I will keep it as a backup retro PhysX gaming pc if I ever want to revisit older game titles. The new build went together perfectly and worked right out of the gate. I'm thrilled to be able to access ray tracing and DLSS now. I have been missing big.$2,649.92 -

ASUS TUF OC 5080 GPU - This card rips, it's the best graphics card I have ever owned, I highly recommend this card. While it might not have the beauty of the ROG Astral for $200 more, but it has nearly identical performance. This card handles everything I throw at it with ease. The 7800x3d prevents any CPU bottlenecks, and it runs nice and cold thanks to the ARCTIC Freezer. With 6 - 140mm fans and the ARCTIC Liquid III 240, this case stays ultra cool. The case curved screen is like nothing else I have seen and at $150, I think it's very nice with the walnut accents.$2,889.93 -

It started with my birthday back in February buying the Lian Li O11 Vision Chrome case as a present to myself and upgrading kind of all happened from there. went from an AM4 system to the bundled 7800x3d. Then had to get new fans so I ended up with actually too many Lian Li SL INF fans. (I have 3 extra now and a reverse blade too... oops.) upgraded the AIO to the Galahad 2 LCD. Then I was lucky enought to get an ROG Astral RTX 5080 on the release day of the 9950x3d chip! Over the course of a month I eventually replaced everything in my old PC and couldn't be happier. Everytime I walked into my Microcenter here in Chicago I talked to the same dude and he helped me everytime. Can't remember his name but he was a life saver and started me on my way from my birthday. He even wished me a happy birthday when he helped me pick my case :) I also built it while watching Lord of the Rings on my Birthday. Best day I could have asked for.$3,399.95 -

I then chose the Asus ROG Strix B650E-F motherboard paired with a AMD 9800X3D CPU . for Ram i used a pair of Corsair Titanium ram in grey to match the theme of the build . the star of the Build is a Asus Astral 5080 OC edition that i mounted with a Cooler master VGPU mount . and to power the system i went with a Corsair RM1000X to give my self room for any overclocking or high demand the CPU and GPU can throw at it .$3,572.90 -

Play a range of games including MSFS 2020/2024, Diablo 4, Satisfactory, Avatar, Stalker 2, Death Stranding, AC, Horizon Forbidden West, Jedi Survivor to name a few. In the high teens in PC builds. I reuse parts from previous builds if performance is still current. I continually modify my builds and experiment in overclocking. My build focus was for high quality scenery & framerate in MSFS. So got in line around 4am on January 30th to get one of the last rtx 5080 GPUs. Also purchased the Asus x870e-e and AMD 9800x3d. As the GPU was too large for my current case, I opted for a Lian Li o11 Dynamic Evo Gaming RGB. As a longtime Corsair ecosystem enthusiast, used Corsair LX120 fans on the Corsair Titan AIO and Corsair QX-120 fans for all case fans. Beyond gaming I do a reasonable amount of home video editing and photo enhancement-organizing.$5,799.91 -

This is an accumulation of my time and effort into the Personal Computer hobby. After hours of research and planning, I have produced a product that I am very happy with. The hardest part by far was waiting for the 50 series during launch at the Tustin CA Microcenter location. It was very well worth it to be one of the last ones to be able to snag a card at launch. I'm blessed to live close to one of the best computer stores in Southern California! It was also very cool to see jayztwocents at 7AM building a computer during the launch LOL!$3,244.33 -

In the bustling town where I grew up, there weren't many options for computer enthusiasts like me. Sure, there were a handful of small computer shops scattered around, each offering a mishmash of components, but none could compare to the tech haven that is Microcenter. My journey into the world of building PCs began amidst these humble surroundings. Armed with determination and a modest budget, I scoured the shelves of these local stores, piecing together my first rig. It wasn't perfect, but it was mine—a testament to my budding passion for all things tech. As I tinkered with my creation, learning the ins and outs of hardware assembly, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more out there, something beyond the limitations of my small town's offerings. That something turned out to be Microcenter. The first time I set foot in that gleaming megastore, I felt like a kid in a candy shop. Row upon row of pristine components stretched out before me, gleaming under the fluorescent lights. It was a paradise for any PC enthusiast, with shelves stocked high with the latest processors, graphics cards, and peripherals. But it wasn't just the sheer variety of products that captivated me—it was the expertise of the staff. Unlike the often clueless employees at the local shops, the Microcenter team were true professionals, eager to share their knowledge and offer advice on even the most obscure tech questions. Armed with the resources of Microcenter and the guidance of its knowledgeable staff, I embarked on my next build with newfound confidence. Gone were the days of settling for "okay" parts; now, I had access to the best of the best. With their help, I carefully selected each component, ensuring that my new rig would be a masterpiece of performance and reliability. As I sat back and admired my completed build, I couldn't help but marvel at how far I'd come. From humble beginnings in those small-town computer shops to the pinnacle of PC building excellence at Microcenter, my journey had been nothing short of extraordinary. And as I powered up my new rig for the first time, I knew that the best was yet to come. At its core lay the beating heart of my creation, the Intel i7 8700k, a processor as reliable as it was powerful. With its six cores and twelve threads, it was the engine that drove my digital adventures, powering through the most demanding of tasks with ease. Surrounding it, like loyal soldiers standing guard, were 32GB of RAM, a veritable army of memory, ready to tackle any challenge I threw their way. And nestled snugly within the belly of the beast was a lightning-fast 1TB SSD, its silent whispers promising swift load times and snappy system responsiveness. But it was the crown jewel of my rig—the RTX 2070 SUPER GPU—that truly set it apart. With its ray-tracing prowess and blistering rendering speeds, it transformed every pixel into a masterpiece, bringing my virtual worlds to life with unparalleled beauty and realism. Together, we embarked on a journey unlike any other, a journey into the heart of gaming and streaming glory. From the darkest dungeons to the farthest reaches of outer space, we traversed virtual landscapes with skill and determination, our every triumph and defeat broadcast to an eager audience of fellow adventurers. But it wasn't just about the games—it was about the connection. With my powerful rig, I streamed in crystal-clear HD, my every word and gesture captured with stunning clarity. And as I interacted with my viewers, sharing stories and swapping strategies, I felt a sense of camaraderie unlike anything I'd ever known.$886.96 -

I built this PC when I graduated university and I wanted to treat myself for being the first in the family to finish school. All 4 years of school I used a laptop to do my work and play games so once I graduated I knew getting a PC is something affordable and would bring me many years of joy! I currently use this desktop to draw CAD models, watch videos, and play games such as Valorant, League of Legends, and Halo Infinite. I love my build mainly because I customized it myself. I envied the all white minimalist desktop look and I'm glad I was able to achieve that. Something I wish I fixed is my cable management. My best friend and I built our desktops at 3AM and I was so excited to use the desktop i told myself I will fix it when I get the chance... a year and a half went by and the cables are still the same XD.$1,303.92 -
