I started off with a 700$ budget a couple years back in 2017 and had an alright PC with a 1050ti and a ryzen 5 1600, but I gradually gained money over time and saved up and eventually got the chance to upgrade parts one by one. Here I am now. Thanks to Microcenter for the fact that they literally have literally every computer part in the store. It is exciting every time I walk into there. It is such an amazing place for "geeks" like me honestly. I hope to definitely one day be able to afford a higher end GPU and hopefully make my setup and build look even better with more lighting mainly for the GPU, but at this time I can deal with what I have. Everything seems great, I can do my school work and multitask and game fine. On top of that I can stream well with consistent frames thanks to the new NVENC, but I am pretty sure my 3900x can handle streaming just as well.

I built this PC because I was placed on full quarantine because I have diabetes. I had always wanted to build my own Gaming PC but never had the time to do it. Well, I finally got the time to do it. It started out being a PC just for gaming. (Which I play Naval Action and the Borderlands series.) I ended up using it to work from home as well. This build has been very solid and I am very proud of my work!

I wanted a computer that had good processing power, could also run some games, and I was able to obtain most of the parts at a good price. Occasionally I need to either compile some code or edit a video, and the Ryzen 7 3800x has yet to disappoint. It also has plenty enough power when combined with the 1660 Super for the games I play. It has no problems with League of Legends, Modded Minecraft, Assassins Creed: Odyssey, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. This build was not planned, it just sort of came together. Some pieces are new, used or damaged. The Meshify C case has a 4” gash on the top mesh, so I bent it back into shape. The Ryzen 7 3800x had bent pins, so I risked it and managed to straighten the pins. I bought a kit of the TridentZ RGB RAM from a friend and purchased an additional clearanced kit to not have empty RAM. The GPU and PSU were salvaged from another build. The only new and planned purchases were the motherboard, AIO cooler, case fans, NVMe drive, and RGB led strips. This shows that you do not need to buy everything at once or everything new always in order to achieve a good-looking build.

So I saved up and built this. I do everything on this now, everywhere from watching lectures to working on large CAD files and playing games. I've been playing games that I can play with my friends, like Valorant, Phasmophobia, GTA, Rainbow 6 Siege and such. For these games, the 1660 Super can handle 1440 pretty well, so for my first build, I'm very satisfied. In hindsight, I think getting a 20 series card would've been nice, especially for 1440p gaming, but a lot of the budget went to the monitor (which I like very much and I can't even look at the laptop display now) and getting a worse monitor for a better graphics card wouldn't make much sense. Also, getting a semi-modular/modular PSU would've been a good idea. I think I cable-managed pretty well, but it wasn't exactly the easiest. The single RGB fan came with the case, and that is the only RGB part outside the little strip that comes on the Aorus mobo. I put it on the back as it's the only place I can see the lights from

I needed to get PC built for my daughter who has become a great gamer. She started with her PS4 playing fortnite and other games that was able to play using that platform. When she noticed the the real great players uses a PC specifically built to handle extreme gamers, we decided it's time for her to get one She started practicing using the mouse and keyboard to play fortnite connected to her PS4. Once she got comfortable, I asked her "Nyobia" to research gaming PC 's so we can get an idea of how much it will cost. I also asked people I knew were gamers for their input. We were now ready to build our own PC. Went to microcenter and was fortunate to speak with two of their workers Shaun and Maurice. After a brief conversation with Shaun he suggested I have a professional build one for many reasons. I agreed after thinking and weighing the pros and cons. Shaun directed me to Maurice and I told him what we needed. I have him the specs given to me and he compared them to what microcenter had in comparison. I gave him my budget and away he went. He explained everything to me in detail. He offered his suggestions and once we gathered up what's needed he save me a couple hundred bucks. Maurice also made it so Nyobia can start streaming when she is ready. The outcome ifs fantastic. Nyobia is ecstatic loving every minute of her new gaming PC. The colors superb, speed remarkable and it also looks great. This will last a while ABC's during the time of upgrades are neccessary I will go to microcenter to her it done.

This build was my first, and I needed something that I could WFH on for my GIS/CAD job (so able to smoothly run ArcMap, ArcPro, and CAD), but I also wanted to be able to play a wide variety of games — typically solo rpgs. I built this in early 2020 before the pandemic, and am very happy with everything so far. The only things I've upgraded have been adding more ram and storage.

I built this computer for my gaming needs and i always wanted to create something for myself to use most of my time. This fantastic Kool Aid themed PC is the first ever thing ive build about 2 weeks ago and so furthermore i decided to add in most of my RGB from NZXT to further express the red and purple bloom for my themed build, also it makes my little jug shine as bright as the red moon! Anywho my future upgrades will include a custom red and black RTX 3070 with a newer and quieter power supply that will fit my needs for ultra gaming and for my schoolwork (ill get to see texts in Google doc in beauty form lol :D). Im very proud of this build and my setup once again!

I built this PC because I found case at Micro Center that caught my attention, the Maingear Vybe mid tower case that is in red. The purpose of this rig is basically for general computing, desktop computing, gaming. The games I play are usually FPS games from Roblox. I do plan on getting other fps games and BeamNG Drive also. I also used this to upload my gameplay videos, (channel: ix.cryorig_games) I upgraded my stock cooler to a vetroo V5, and added 2 more sticks of crucial ballistix 16gb kit at 3200mhz. Also, this build of mine was inspired after the SRT Hellcat, so the red and black theme will be perfect. I also added in some sleeved extensions from inland, and it really matches my build. My case fans are Arctic bioniX and Arctic P12 PWM PST's. Bitwit's videos also inspired me to make a build this nice!

The reason I built this is because I thought it was the moment to change my environment learning, during my last one year and a half I would never imagine myself having wifi as we couldn't really get it but throughout time we got to save up and bought my first laptop I was so happy as I did not have to go to the library to use their computers and come home late anymore and get my mom worry but I always told her that I had to do my homework in why I achieved my first ever unweighted 4.0 GPA . When I would come home I need a place to work where I needed to sit down and focus and I had to use a party table and then felt so embarrassing about I put a blanket over it, the photo I took was back in school time when I shared this to my new girlfriend of how I organize my room but now during this summer during the whole pandemic we got a lot of support and help from the government in where I got enough money to get a new computer , my first ever desk, first ever, keyboard, mice and microphone and more etc. I would of never imagine I would have these set up of my own . In the beginning I had to do research of what desktop I wanted and I wanted to play games on it also so I went for a gaming pc and my mom said alright then and then I never knew the whole pc commmunity was hugggee, I wanted a pre built because straight off the bat I just wanted it now cause we had the money but in youtube everyone does this custom build and comments telling everyone to build your own and so I went for it and went to Tustin Micro Center which was huge I never knew there was a store that big just for computer parts and everything almost like best buy. Those people were very helpful and looked all professional with their nice suits . Overall I am really grateful I always had everything I needed to be succesful towards my learning in school but this is something else more and something nice to have, I still believe I can succeed with just a chromebook or a $1200 custom build during this time as I am taking school online but if I were to upgrade I would upgrade my fans for fans that have rgb, not sure what else I need. . I also added a whiteboard above to set myself reminders.

This is my pc that i built in the shortage, i wish i could have a better graphics but its the best i could do with and isnt that bad. This pc cost me around 1000 dollars, it was something i have been saving money up for around 1 year and it is a relief, and relaxant that i have finally completed it [still needs upgrades]. if i would win the 250 dollars i would buy myself a AIO so i can cool my CPU i would also upgrade to 32 gb of ram and maybe even vertically mount my GPU. i hope once the shortage i can upgrade to a 20 series or maybe even a 30 series graphics card. i could not add my m.2 ssd because there were no options but it is a samsung 980 ssd 500 gb

When I was building my first computer I wanted something cheap sleek and could play games decently I wanted something that wouldn't stand out too much and it to blend into my minimalistic room and to show off my favorite color blue and I sort of achieve that with this computer. When I first got this computer I was excited to play My favorite game war thunder and rocket league plus vr games, but not now I'm working on video editing and I'm hoping one day I could upgrade my computer's ram, gpu and maybe cpu, with all of those upgrades it could help improve my gaming and editing, so that'swhy I'm here I'm sure I'm not going to win but might as well try and I hope you guys enjoy my PC.
