I was able to build this PC because of a CPU + Board + RAM combo deal, and it was incredibly helpful since I was building around a $1,500 budget! (I actually managed to get in way under budget, which was a wonderfully welcome surprise) Originally, I optioned it with an AMD RX 6750 XT GPU, but have since upgraded to a RTX 3080 Ti Founder's Edition.

  This is my first PC build. I want to play Red Dead Redemption on it, and the build is good enough for me to play this game... This is my first PC build. I want to play Red Dead Redemption on it, and the build is good enough for me to play this game at 120fps and high graphics settings and I'm really happy about it, It runs cool and very quiet too. Completely opposite from the prebuilt I had previously. I enjoyed buying these parts and assembling them myself. There were a few hiccups, but youtube is a very good resource for learning how to assembling a PC from scratch. I may add more RAM later but for now I'm going to finish the game first.

Not a professional builder, but I did a lot of research on reddit and pc building sites. I came to the conclusion that with $1.5k budget it's best to get AMD cpu and gpus for the best performance. The build took me the whole day but got done eventually. It lights up on the first try. And it's been working great since. After installing the drivers, I had several games tested in 1440p, and they run perfectly smooth.
