With the use of NVIDIA's DLSS technology, it could even play at 4K. The RTX 3080 10gb is still a beast of a card, being NVIDIA's last-gen Flagship model. Paired alongside the Ryzen 7 3700X, an 8 core, 16 threaded workhorse that still kicks in 2024, giving the processing power needed for gaming and multi-tasking. Still being a relatively upgradeable build (AMD AM4) with high-quality components that are sure to last many years of use. Parts were sourced new/used on deals on sites such as Amazon/Microcenter/Newegg This PC sold on my Jawa.gg page for $1044, it took a long time to sell (almost 2 months). Therefore the profit was slim compared to my other flips giving me only $905.67 after platform fees/ shipping insurance. So thats a margin of only $126.81. It took a while to sell since so many people have been buying RTX 3080's used for flips, so they aren't selling all that well at the moment.$786.17 -

I decided to go all out with the AMD setup with their cpu and gpu, which has proved worthwhile as my gpu temp isn't hitting above 60 even in games like the new space marine 2. My cpu temps are a bit higher as I had to cheap out on the cooler, however never getting above 80c under load and usually at around 75c.$1,389.92 -

This build was initially designed for a friend who wanted a reliable gaming and streaming machine without costing too much.... This build was initially designed for a friend who wanted a reliable gaming and streaming machine without costing too much. The goal was to handle lighter games such as Minecraft and Valorant at high frame rates, while also allowing for some streaming to Discord. Aesthetics were therefore not the main concern, While cost was important, the build's components were ultimately selected based on availability (of previously purchased stock and new) and performance. The system is centered around an older system that used an i5-8400, which is still enough for the gaming and everyday productivity tasks the computer will be used for. The motherboard and memory were more recent purchases but fit well. The CPU is cooled by the Corsair iCUE H100i, an older piece but adds some flair while eliminating any concern of temps. Another old part is the MSI 1080 Gaming X, and even though 8GB is on the low side for 2024, this cart is still performing well. Most importantly, it is able to maintain a smooth 1080p144 performance for lighter games. All in all, this is a fairly decent budget PC with plenty of speed for it's intended tasks.$939.97 -
