  the ultimate goal for me is to end up with a machine fully ready for the amazing amd ryzen 9800x3D processor. but quite... the ultimate goal for me is to end up with a machine fully ready for the amazing amd ryzen 9800x3D processor. but quite frankly my budget wasn't ready for it. so for now, what i settled on was paving the way ahead of time with a solid build that could be easily upgraded to a 9800x3D cpu in the future. that is, hopefully a future where the 9800x3D costs less than $500+. the 7700x's are now pretty affordable now that the 9000 series is being rolled out. and for now, it's meeting all my needs pretty well. feels about the same level of performance as my intel desktop that has a 12600k. i tried not to amass too much rgb but i added a picture featuring the little rgb i have because this form is asking me to.
