  Hello, my name is Arte and I'm completely addicted to overhauling my desktop pc for the sake of making marginal... Hello, my name is Arte and I'm completely addicted to overhauling my desktop pc for the sake of making marginal improvements. Or perhaps I just enjoy tinkering. Regardless, those are my honest reasons of why I built this. This machine functions as and replaces my primary gaming desktop pc. I mostly play fps games such as Doom Eternal. I was really tired of ddr4 and was ready to make the switch to ddr5 since the price on ddr5 has come down significantly over recent months. I also upgraded my video card to a RTX 4070 so that I could use gsync on a recently acquired monitor. I also upgraded to a more robust air cpu cooler so that it could handle the temps of an i7 13700k cpu.

I'm using this for content creation with Unreal Engine and rendering with other 3d software. So I favored the higher threads with this cpu. DDR5 was so expensive at the time and I actually had a different mobo thinking I would get DDR5. However because of the "newness", availability, and cost, I just went with DDR4 at the time. May upgrade as time goes by. That's the great thing about being able to tinker with this hobby!
