Had an older rig (i7-6700k, GTX 1070) that I wanted to upgrade from, especially since a coworker agreed to buy it. So I went to Microcener and got all the parts except for the GPU (purchased used). I use it for gaming in 1440p, mostly Halo Infinite and PUBG, emulation, and I plan on buying the FF7 Remake and RE4 remake to play in 1440p as well. I also do some sim racing in Asseto Corsa. I have also tossed around the idea of streaming, but that hasn't panned out yet.$1,354.94 -

They don’t use it heavily for gaming. It’s been a while since I last built one. I just wanted to build it and have something nice to look at on my table. So far, I’ve only been playing Fortnite on it, but I plan to start getting more games soon.$2,238.94 -

I was able to build this PC because of a CPU + Board + RAM combo deal, and it was incredibly helpful since I was building around a $1,500 budget! (I actually managed to get in way under budget, which was a wonderfully welcome surprise) Originally, I optioned it with an AMD RX 6750 XT GPU, but have since upgraded to a RTX 3080 Ti Founder's Edition.$1,314.92 -

And in this industry strong computers are needed to carry out rendering and processing the animation. So I thought why settle for buying the whole computer set up when I can pool my resources and put together on of the most powerful computers in the market. I took inspiration from performance over presentation, I took the strongest parts in the market I could afford and had them put together into The Monolith. It may not be eye candy but it’s sure as heck is powerfull$2,104.93 -

This is my latest (as of 2024) Sim Racing, Photo Editing, Streaming, Powerhouse PC. I wanted to create something unique but functional for my purposes. Case selection and issues with Case: I loved the MSI 700R case the moment I saw it but realized that I would need to modify it a little bit. Just like Cooler Master cases, MSI does not believe in locating the 24-pin Grommets parallel to the actual connectors on MBs. I had a friend of mine make a custom cutout which would allow me to swap the factory grommets to the new openings. Secondly, the included vertical GPU bracket is not square. In fact, it was off center in two dimensions. This required a bit of handy dremel work and I also had to try different riser cables that would allow me to play with the angle as much as possible. Finally, this case is not really friendly with custom loop cooling despite the advertising between MSI and EK for this case. The shroud that is designed to cover the area below the D5 pump is totally useless and borderline impossible to install and then remove once the system is together. The first time I assembled this system I installed the shroud and quickly realized I would be in for trouble when it comes time to draining the loop. I was a bit wiser for the second build up. Now we can see the distro plate better, I have access to the drain valve but the PSU basement could be seen. I created a custom cover for this area and used double some 3m double sided tape to adhere the cover. MB and EK specific WB for Asus Hero. EK strikes again with issues with their tooling. I had to file down one of the heatsinks that comes with the new EK replacement WB.$3,840.33 -

Built this PC because I was guilted by my friends to play Hell Divers II. My wife also needed a PC to do our taxes on every year. The goal was mild future proofing (the GPU is my Bottleneck) and escalated quite a bit from the original build scope thanks to the Ryzen 7 7700x bundle. I am able to play games at 1440 on high settings and 1080 ultra settings at a minimum of 65-80 fps. The original purpose was just to have a racing sim rig. This is the first pc I have even worked on, I assembled/built myself in an afternoon.$1,124.94 -

I built this PC in the midst of the GPU Shortage, with parts salvaged from a prebuilt gaming machine. There are no original parts left in the case at this point, but it all started with migrating the build from the original case to the Lian Li Lancool II for improved airflow. I'll also say that case-swapping a prebuilt is more work than building from scratch. From there, over the next two years, I would go on to upgrade the power supply, RAM, GPU, AIO cooler, and added Lian Li RGB Strimer cables for extra FPS! Just two days ago, I swapped the original motherboard and CPU for one of microcenters AMD bundles and now this thing is in its penultimate form. I plan to get rid of all of the RGB and put this born-again-and-again beast into a Fractal North XL case, as much like this PC has matured over the last few years, so have my tastes...even if it means I'll lose some FPS due to lack of RGB.$3,192.90 -

I got into sim racing last summer playing ACC very casually on my GF's pc. As I got more into the hobby I wanted to upgrade to a triple monitor setup. This meant upgrading the PC as well and getting a monitor stand. I decided to go all in and spring for a 4090 and 7800X3D, and took advantage of microcenters bundle deal with the cpu/ram/mobo. Shortly after getting the monitor stand. I end up getting a cockpit as well. I regret purchasing the monitor stand and cockpit separately. I should have just gotten the TK P1 Pro bundle, i would have gotten an upgraded cockpit along with the keyboard tray and mouse pad for the same price . Im still very happy with my current setup. Gonna hold off on any more upgrades for the time being, even though I am a bit tempted to upgrade my wheelbase/wheel lol. Thanks to my local Microcenter for providing great customer service and having a wide selection of sim racing gear.$3,591.93 -

I wanted to create a high-end gaming PC that would leave even the most serious gamers, streamers, and simulators in awe. The sleek white design with the custom Corsair Water Loop gives it a sophisticated look. And let's not forget the stunning Lian Li Strimer Plus RGB extension cables that add a touch of brilliance to the setup. But the real showstopper is the white Radeon RX 7900xtx Hellhound Spectral, which truly completes the aesthetic. Its power and performance are unmatched, delivering an immersive gaming experience like no other. To make this PC not just a powerhouse but also a work of art, I opted for the 128GB G Skill z5 Trident Memory. This not only ensures lightning-fast speeds but also adds a touch of elegance to the overall design. From its impressive specs to its breathtaking visuals, this gaming PC is a true masterpiece. It's not just a computer, but a statement piece that showcases the passion and dedication we have for gaming.$4,399.35 -

I started off this build after I started to experience cpu bottlenecking in Iracing. I took advantage of Micro Center's 7800x3d bundle as my base, and am very happy with the result. I needed something that would take nearly anything I threw at it and not miss a beat. I like to multitask while editing photos and usually have a few different programs open at once for my workflow and really need a system that would be able to handle this and render the changes made while editing, same thing for when I'm working on editing videos. When I'm not working, I do enjoy some pretty heavy gaming. 4k was not a huge worry to me, as I would have to update my monitors, but also wanted a rig that would run the AAA titles at 2k and provide a great experience. I have also recently gotten into Sim Racing and wanted a system that I could move into VR with if I wanted to. This build checked all of the boxes for me and I am very happy with the results. I have not found anything that I would have done different at this point. The build has blown me away and I am very happy with it!$2,421.35 -
