After building my first rig, I was headfirst into the world of PC building. I didn't know my next gaming computer was going to be a space heater though. This build I went for the all white with silver finish aesthetic, and it came out better than I expected. Although it was a bit nerve wracking to troubleshoot the overheating cpu, it was a really enjoyable experience. I use the computer mainly for gaming, I enjoy playing hyper realistic simulation games like Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, Forza Horizon 5, and PC building simulator 2 (yes when I said I went headfirst into PC building I meant it), and some other games that this computer is too powerful for. One upgrade I definitely need to consider is getting more storage, because nowadays games somehow manage to take up half an ssd.$2,239.59 -

My build started as an upgrade to a 7 year old computer, It had a 5th gen i7-5820 processor on an Asus X-99 chipset motherboard, running 32 Gb DDR4 ram, multiple forms of storage from a 1 Tb Samsung NVME drive, to 3 SSD and 2 HDD totaling close to 10 Tb. Corsair 100 AIO for cooling, and an Asus GTX 1080 graphics card. I first tried just upgrading the graphics card, wondering how much of a bottleneck my processor would be, To my surprise it worked really well upgrading to an Asus Tuff 4070Ti. Then I noticed microcenter had a sale on a new 13th Gen i7, with 32Gigs of DDR5 and a Z790 Asus motherboard. Since I had just been blessed with a financial gift, I went ahead and tried the combo. Wow is all could say, what a night and day difference I noticed running my main sims (MSFS2020 & DCS) as well as with my editing software Lightroom classic and Filmora 12. At this point I thought to myself, after 7 years with my last build it was time to trust the Lord with the finances and finish off the build to my liking. That included the beautifully built and designed NZXT H9 Flow case with Lian Li SL fans and the Lian Li 360 AIO as well as a new MSI Pcie5 ready 850 watt power supply. I also wanted a faster gen 4 M.2 so I added the Samsung 2TB 980 NVME drive with a new key for windows 11. As an avid photographer for my immediate & church family as well as my long time love of flight sims, this new computer is a very appreciated gift from my Lord Jesus Christ. And I am grateful and humbled for the doors he had to open to make it my reality.$2,755.92 -

I never really liked showing my end result as I just love the build. I tend to become totally enthralled in making a PC work. so after 3 back to back deployments (and some money in the bank) I decided to pull the trigger and do a new rig build. I am not going to lie to you this build took away from gym time but was well worth it. I built my first PC when I was 14. That would be 1996. A Pentium 286 and it was awesome lol. fast forward to now and components are readily available and there is a monopoly now. Don't get me wrong I still think everything is pretty overpriced but compared to paying $300 for 8mb of "gold tip" RAM its kind of status quo.$6,208.82 -

I decided to build a PC in 2022 but wanted a high-end gaming PC under $1500. So, I wandered all PCpartpicker part lists to find the best deals, picking parts that fit my wallet without losing on the aesthetics. I found a 3080 used on marketplace for $480 and bought it without a PC to test if it was working until I built mine (2 months later). Since the seller said, he sold his PC and didn't have another PC to show me if it works. In the end, I pulled the trigger anyways since my urge to get a GPU was high (I checked every website to get one). I was playing with fire, don't do this absurd stupidity! Then working with this case was a pain, but aesthetics are also important. I already explained the reasons on the part reviews. I was planning to purchase only 16GB of ram to save some bucks($1450 build), but you have to go with 4 to get the perfect look. If you want more performance, go for ddr5 instead of ddr4 (the ddr5 version board was at the same price). I could have built a 32GB ddr5 ram with just $20 more, but you only get 2 bars of 16GB. It is called a budget build for a reason, so it's a no-no to buy 4 bars of ddr5 to get aesthetics. I would say this build has a balanced performance-aesthetic ratio. I also plan to buy cables to get even better aesthetics and more extension cables to fix the issue of insufficient ports to connect more devices on my fan controller—no light on my led strip for now. I will update the photos once installed in the future!$1,632.98
