I never played a single MMO until last year, but after trying New World:Aeternum, I found a game my wife and I could play together. We had cleared a weekend to just game, but PS Network was down and we spent the whole weekend waiting on it to come back up. At that moment, I decided I was tired of paying for and depending on someone else to allow me access to an online game that I paid for with my own money. So, I decided it was time to explore building a PC. I started reading websites, watching Youtube, and browsing the web to find out all I could about building a PC. But I was stuck and just was not comfortable ordering parts, with no experience based on what I saw on YouTube. All the computer place is my town were just buildings on some back alley strip mall or in someone's basement. I didn't want a Best Buy that sold everything and where service and associate knowledge can be hit or miss. So, I kept putting it off, until finally, I googled for a brick and mortar computer specialty store. BOOM! MicroCenter in Charlotte, NC pops up. I convinced my wife that we should drive the hour and a half to Charlotte to check the place out, and she finally agreed because I told her we could also got to IKEA and a Mall with Nice Stores (nicer than what is around our town anyway). Enter the wonderful people at MicroCenter. Mrs. Savanah, Mr. Dalton, Mr. Sean, everyone was amazing and, feigned or otherwise, seemed truly interested in helping me start a computer build. Mrs. Savanah helped me get started, we talked about budget parts etc. She made me a list of what we needed to build me and my wife new computer(s). More importantly, I left that day with the first piece of my computer, an MSRP RTX 5090 (PNY RGB OC). Then it started, each week we would go back and get another part. The second week, we got our Zotac White 5090. Then it was cases and power supplies. Then monitors, the Samsung 49" Curved OLED was on sale at insanely low price. And this is what I can honestly say, about the people at microcenter, they care. Not one time did I go in the store for something would Mrs. Savanah, Mr. Dalton, Mr. Sean, or anyone else not ask about how things were going and encourage me to keep going. Even if I had gotten a part or piece somewhere cheaper, for example I got our RAM at Amazon because it was a great sale, and Amazon gave us a combined 400.00 off for being approved for Amazon business credit we weren't ever going to use. They just said, great smart plan and helped me decide the next part. Every build has its challenges and ups and downs. Mine was an SSD Samsung 9100 Pro. I actually told Mr. Dalton, I didn't need a warranty because a Samsung SSD will be dead on day two or three or run forever. Well mine died on day fourt. Mid-Game just died. No overheat, no damage. It just up and died. MicroCenter ever good to its word with the 30 day return policy, simply took the card back and refunded the money. Even though, I had to order new SSD from Amazon because I couldn't get to Charlotte for a couple of days. But, the other 4 TB 9100 Pro and 2x2TB 9100 Pro Cards are still doing great in my wife's computer. I really do mean it when I say, it wouldn't have been possible without MicroCenter and the amazing Associates who work there. They gave me a place to go and talk with people for ideas, help, and encouraged me each step of the way. I am not saying, it as a plug for MicroCenter either, I really believe, I would still be Googling Computer parts and not feeling the confidence to undertake a PC build if it hadn't been for MicroCenter in Charlotte, NC. I built both mine and my wife's back to back, so it may be better described as the build of two weeks. Both computers are amazing machines. I could not have done it, and probably would not have done it, had we not had a store such as MicroCenter. We love our builds, more importantly, we spend time together side by side gaming and working. And, we actually spend even more time together now. Turns out that the Couple that Games together Stays together. Now, we hope to start streaming channels, AND!! My wife has given me permission to build another computer, this one water cooled. Someone might want to warn Charlotte our weekly visits are coming back.$7,844.85 -

It was just laying around in a friend's basement and not doing anyone any good other than a dwelling place for dust. Investing some green into it to give it a second (maybe third?) home and it's treated me well. It seemed right as most of the parts (RAM, GPU etc.) seemed to be on sale whenever I searched for them. Now it's banging with some FURY (2x16GB) RAM who's also rockin' out with an XMP-profile outfit. Treats me well for what I need to get some for University, online MOBA's, Halo, and whatever else y'all be doing on your machines.$1,266.97 -

I built this PC to replace a prebuilt i got when i first moved back to the States. At that time there was no microcenter near me (miami) and with everything that goes into moving into a new home I choose to buy a prebuilt and regret it. Fast forward a year I started coming up with an idea for a custom built pc based on the Thermaltake Tower 600. And it couldnt have come out any better. A shout out to Daniel in Microcenter miami who made my vision come true helping me fine tune the small details to make it work and come out as great as it did.$2,512.98 -

I made this PC mainly for gaming, digital illustration and (eventually) streaming. I had built my first PC in 2020 and wasn't really happy with it looks and performance wise so this time I really wanted to put together something that I knew could do everything that I wanted and really represented me and my personality. I wanted to make sure that my build was uniquely mine. I have a mild obsession with space themed things so I used it as my main inspiration. Before building I photo bashed together images of parts and decor to make sure I had the perfect look. I also spent a lot of time putting together the perfect spec list to make sure that I everything I wanted to run would run exactly as I wanted, which is something I messed up on my first build. I think I did a pretty good job tying the theme together without it being overwhelming and I can finally play all the games I want with actually decent FPS (lol).$1,816.95 -

I wanted to build something that wasn’t just powerful, but also had some personality. This rig is running a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and an RTX 5090, so it can handle pretty much anything I throw at it gaming, streaming, or just pushing Ultra settings with no sweat. What makes it special is the Venom theme. The Hyte Y70 Touch shows Venom taking over Spider-Man, and inside I added Venomized Hulk along with custom RGB to split the system between Spidey’s blue/white and Venom’s red/black. It’s built to perform, but also to tell a story.$3,819.94
