When planning this, I initially intended it to be a bit less flashy with a stealth look, but as this was my first build and one I will have for quite some time I decided to go all out and go "Over Budget". The build focuses on raw performance and raster which is why I decided to go with the XFX 7900 XTX and the 9800x3D. The Hyte Y70 Touch was the over-the-top case it needed to give it that much more flair. The same goes for the 9 Lian Li SL Infinity Fans! I have been really pushing it to its limits recently by playing Old School RuneScape and having a YouTube video open on the side monitor!$3,009.86 -

I built this PC about a year ago to enjoy my all of my favorite games with high refresh rates and resolutions. Primarily, it serves as my gaming rig for racing titles such as Forza Horizon 5 and Assetto Corsa. Outside of gaming, it's my workstation for schoolwork and watching YouTube. Currently, I have no upgrades in mind, as it's already very powerful. Something I would highly recommend adding is the cable extensions. If you just use the included PSU cables, you'll have one extra cable hanging loose from the GPU.$3,602.54 -

I built it because my last PC was extremely outdated (AMD Radeon RX 560 Cyberpower PC from 2017) and I wanted to have a fun time gaming rather than experience exhausting load in times paired with choppy gameplay. I want to play all competitive FPS shooters and Battle Royal games. I will stick to my PS5 to play story mode games but every other type of game will be played on my PC. No planned future upgrades as I got mostly the latest parts but in retrospective I would have gone with a different AIO because the Arctic Liquid Freezer III was so difficult to work with. Overall an insane rig and I will use it for many many years to come.$1,764.94 -

Mostly new parts but bought CPU and case with fans second hand and a few things on deals or with coupons savings money. Putting it together was very easy after watching videos and reading manuals. Just need to take time and be firm but delicate with parts. As for bios settings, using Intel POR helps keep everything cool and playing games with no hassle. Fans don’t get very loud when going full blast so generally a very pleasant experience using the PC so far.$2,994.91 -

This time around I decided to go AMD instead of my usual Intel/Nvidia build. I used to just buy pre-built PCs before and ever since my previous one died, I've decided to have a go. Was surprised how relatively easy it was. Granted, however, that I've invested quite some hours into youtube and reddit studying the topic lol. Happy how it turned out, the next step will be to buy a vertical GPU mount and to wait until my NZXT hub arrives, so I can connect the Streamer Lian Li cables. The fan config is 4 exhaust (1 rear, 3 top) and 6 intake reverse blade fans (3 side, 3 bottom).$2,675.28 -

Never built a system before so was excited to put something together with a top of the line GPU and CPU combo. All items were purchased within around a week, taking advantage of some online Black Friday sales This system is primarily for gaming, and some video editing, I've paired it with a LG 32GP750 1440p 165Hz monitor, I also have it hooked up to a 55" Sony X90k to run 4k 120Hz. No complaints putting everything together, the popular Corsair 4000D was super easy for install and had more than ample room for the huge 7900XTX, also no crazy RGB here, just simple and neat. Temps have been good so far, the Peerless Assassin cooler is plenty, I have yet to see temps run past about 70c with gaming use. There's definitely coil whine coming from the GPU during intensive gameplay, can be annoying but not a huge deal when you have your volume up or headphones in.$2,027.92 -

A standing desk or a comfortable chair makes what you do, fun longer. This PC build was not to be a disco, but a cool expression of clean. Finding an empty room and making it a space to create was the goal. Set-up includes: Intel 14700k, 7900xtx pulse, 216 Lian Li case, MSI Z690 Carbon, 32gb OLOy DDR5 Blade 6800MHz, Samsung 990Pro 2TB. 2x LG 32" 2k monitors. 2x PC under desk holders from HUANUO. Best part of this build was the Microcenter staff, quick to answer questions. Helped me with the AIO and case recommendations. In and out of the store in 30 minutes. Thanks!$2,346.93 -

The main goal of this build was to get a high-performance gaming experience while still being extremely capable of running intense productivity workloads. Since my last build was also extremely loud with 12+ fans in the Antec LanBoy Air case, I set out to build something that would be significantly quieter while gaming and succeeded. This system is also intended to be ultra reliable, requiring only periodic dusting for maintenance, and highly upgradeable over the next few years as needed. This build ended up going a completely different direction from the i9-13900K and Z790 Maximus Hero that I originally purchased, but I have to say that I've been extremely happy with it even though I've always been an Intel fan.$3,607.89 -

Built my first computer when I was 13 from saved up allowances, birthdays and Christmas. As time progressed and parts became better, I upgraded piece by piece, upgrading the cpu once, the gpu a couple years later. Then in this past year, I decided to go all out so I got myself the best parts I could afford and rebuilt my old pc and adding in hardline liquid cooling. I swapped the gpu cpu and motherboard to the new am5 chip. The original harddrive from when i built my first computer is still in here and I feel really proud of how far the old thing has come.$2,185.92 -

Saw the Fractal Torrent and knew I had to build something with it. I think it came out very nice! I definitely need to get some white PSU cables to match the aesthetic overall. In hindsight, I should have maybe went for the standard Noctua heatsink, as the chrome fins would have matched the chrome from the PowerColor 7900XTX. Still very pleased!$2,029.93 -

Built this PC to upgrade from my old laptop, mostly play competitive FPS games (Overwatch 2, VALORANT) and I will also use it for university work (majoring in computer science). I've done some video editing as well, so I might do that too. No plans for upgrades for now, but I could probably have saved on RAM and SSD and upgraded the GPU. Definitely happy with the 7900XTX though and it fits the theme very well.$2,809.90 -

I've always wanted to build my own tower since I was a kid so here it is. My first. It's obviously built for gaming but can also be easily utilized for other purposes. Yes I know!! I cheaped out on the motherboard... probably a future upgrade but this one is perfectly fine for now. The build itself didn't take that long, the fan/rgb hub in the case was wired incorrectly and took me way too long than it should to figure it out. LOL I GOT IT!!! Occasionally on my days off I will stream alone or with friends who may also stream. If you're interested my tag is Terror666Billy and yes I follow/support back. After upgrading to a 4K, 144HZ monitor for accessibility purposes, I soon realized that my 6800 XT couldn't quite push the frames I wanted for games at 4K. I decided to upgrade my entire rig in order to get the absolute maximum out of the DDR4/Z790 platform for the next 5+ years. I work heavily with Docker, Hyper-V/VMWare Workstation, and WSL - so 64GB of RAM is a necessity for me. Additionally, my i9-13900K gets put to great use in my professional workloads I handle at my employer. If I were just gaming, I probably would have saved a lot of money by going with an i5-13600K, a cheaper board, and more "optimal" choices - but I have specific use cases (such as a TPM for Bitlocker, even in the event of a BIOS update). For compute performance: the i9-13900K wipes the floor of every other chip I've laid my hands on. Even compared to my old Ryzen 5 1600, my system feels like a completely new one. Everything is immediately so much faster to open, load, download, render, and process. A good reason for this is also due to my choice of storage - all PCIE 4.0 SSDs. For boot, I bought the (at the time) fastest & available 2TB M.2 SSD for my operating system + games. I considered a WD SN850X, but I've had reliability issues with my old SN850 - so I steered clear. The other three SSDs are cheaper SN750 SEs I got on sale for bulk storage/ISOs/VMs and my music library. In games, my 7900 XTX also wipes the floor - even compared to my still-venerable 6800XT! I'm able to constantly achieve 190FPS (capped) in Apex at 4K competitive settings, and I imagine just about every other game I may want to play for the next few years will run excellent as well. I could have gone for an RTX 4090 for the maximum 4K performance possible, however, I refuse to support NVIDIAs practices and I've had bad luck with their drivers. This specific GIGABYTE model of 7900 XTX was chosen just because it was in stock around MSRP and runs cool. I never get above 75c at 100% load. I went with DDR4 on Z790 mostly out of convenience: at the time - I already had a high-end 4000MHz CL15 kit laying around and I didn't want it to go to waste. This is also why I have the Corsair Vengeance fan over my RAM - that kit ran very hot. Unfortunately, my needs increased early this year, and I had to upgrade to 64GB of RAM. I took a tiny bit of a performance hit by getting slower RAM, but in the real world, it doesn't make a difference. If I were building everything brand-new at once, I would 100% go DDR5 now that the platform has matured a bit. For Power Supply, I went overkill: I got a 1200W PSU, and ATX 3.0/PCIE 5.0 ready as well. While I don't plan on buying a 4090, having the ability to use 12VHPWR is nice. The RM1200X Shift is quiet, cool, and fits in my case. However, your mileage may vary when fitting it in your case - wait for more reviews and PCPP to verify compatibility. For my case, cooler, fans, etc. - I went with about the best I could without having to go full water-cooling. The only reason I went full-ATX is just for convenience sake, but in retrospect I don't think I'd change to a smaller case since I'm not moving it around often. All-in-all, I'm incredibly satisfied with my 4K gaming PC & workstation. PC building and repair is my hobby and has been for 10+ years - and now that I'm an adult I'm proud to call myself an enthusiast.$3,208.92 -
