I've been going to Micro Center for ages now, and I've cut my teeth on building PCs with parts from them. My goal was to play Team Fortress 2 with a buncha friends back in the day, but now the build has way surpassed its purposes. Now I use it to play games like Fortnite, Call of Duty, Final Fantasy XIV, and some more recent titles and showcase games such as Control, Monster Hunter Wilds, DOOM Eternal, whatever's on Game Pass and more. Most importantly, I use this computer to get a buncha rounds of Balatro in. As a creator, I stream with my PNGTuber model on occasion, and thanks to the beefiness of the AMD Ryzen 7700x and the Radeon 7900 GRE I have, I'm able to do that with no sweat off my computer's brow. I've always wanted to have a gaming computer since I was a kid, and it feels incredible to have that dream come true.$1,818.91 -

When planning this, I initially intended it to be a bit less flashy with a stealth look, but as this was my first build and one I will have for quite some time I decided to go all out and go "Over Budget". The build focuses on raw performance and raster which is why I decided to go with the XFX 7900 XTX and the 9800x3D. The Hyte Y70 Touch was the over-the-top case it needed to give it that much more flair. The same goes for the 9 Lian Li SL Infinity Fans! I have been really pushing it to its limits recently by playing Old School RuneScape and having a YouTube video open on the side monitor!$3,009.86 -

I was planning to upgrade to a 5070 ti but there is no stock, and then I heard about the horrible news about the missing ROP hardware defect, so I am glad I ended up getting an amd gpu instead. I love the huge 24 gb vram on the gpu, it would be great if I ever got into tinkering with machine learning, but most importantly it's great for gaming.$2,215.92 -

This is the first gaming PC I assembled and I'm loving every single second I use it. The only things I could consider adding are more fans but I'm not 100% sure yet if I need them, if I end up adding more it would be at the bottom, below the GPU. I'm playing mostly Marvel Rivals and Monster Hunter Wilds right now, but I also play a any random single player game I feel like playing.$2,485.93 -

I finally have saved up enough money and have a stable place to live that I now wanted to finally buy my first desktop to enjoy what I've worked for. I went all out when I went there. I was going to go for the 4070 ti when I went there, but the guy said he had gotten the 4080 super in that morning so I went with that instead. I'm planning on grabbing a 5090 when that comes out to max it out fully. turns out, those sold out really fast so I was able to put in a 4090 Refurbished now as for 01/30/25. Now it's got a ASUS TUF 4090 24GB VRAM and I got 2, ASUS ROG 27in 4k OLED monitors now in place too.$5,260.91 -

Followed a lot of tech tips online and watched a bunch of YouTube Videos to learn how to assemble it. The only issue that I had encountered was during boot up, I believe I had accidentally overclocked the RAM beyond spec therefore causing the orange light on the motherboard to go off. Had to reset the BIOS setting to fix it.$2,474.92 -

I built this PC about a year ago to enjoy my all of my favorite games with high refresh rates and resolutions. Primarily, it serves as my gaming rig for racing titles such as Forza Horizon 5 and Assetto Corsa. Outside of gaming, it's my workstation for schoolwork and watching YouTube. Currently, I have no upgrades in mind, as it's already very powerful. Something I would highly recommend adding is the cable extensions. If you just use the included PSU cables, you'll have one extra cable hanging loose from the GPU.$3,602.54 -

Wanting a top of the line PC since pubg was released recently I have been able to build my dream PC with the relatively the best parts money can buy. I can tell you there is no better feeling than being able to run and game at the highest setting with a constant+100 fps . I haven't paid too much attention to the PC parts since high school. The first build was with Ryzen 5 3600 and GTX 1080, so you know how out of touch I am now. But I know 4090 GPU is a must for my build. As for the CPU, the i9 seemed too excessive for gaming purposes, so I went with the i7 12700k. I am glad both worked well together in my build.$2,998.92 -

This is my latest (as of 2024) Sim Racing, Photo Editing, Streaming, Powerhouse PC. I wanted to create something unique but functional for my purposes. Case selection and issues with Case: I loved the MSI 700R case the moment I saw it but realized that I would need to modify it a little bit. Just like Cooler Master cases, MSI does not believe in locating the 24-pin Grommets parallel to the actual connectors on MBs. I had a friend of mine make a custom cutout which would allow me to swap the factory grommets to the new openings. Secondly, the included vertical GPU bracket is not square. In fact, it was off center in two dimensions. This required a bit of handy dremel work and I also had to try different riser cables that would allow me to play with the angle as much as possible. Finally, this case is not really friendly with custom loop cooling despite the advertising between MSI and EK for this case. The shroud that is designed to cover the area below the D5 pump is totally useless and borderline impossible to install and then remove once the system is together. The first time I assembled this system I installed the shroud and quickly realized I would be in for trouble when it comes time to draining the loop. I was a bit wiser for the second build up. Now we can see the distro plate better, I have access to the drain valve but the PSU basement could be seen. I created a custom cover for this area and used double some 3m double sided tape to adhere the cover. MB and EK specific WB for Asus Hero. EK strikes again with issues with their tooling. I had to file down one of the heatsinks that comes with the new EK replacement WB.$3,840.33 -

This is replacing a 2018 Acer Predator Helios 300 that in turn replaced a gaming desktop build from 2014. I typically refresh my builds in 5 year cycles, turning the last piece of hardware into a server. The 2014 desktop is still going strong as a server and the laptop died, so I'm hoping this build lasts another 5 years. The H9 case is beautiful, but not as easy to work with as I'd hoped. There are a lot of parts, and it can be a pain to get the cable bar on and off. Overall, I'm very happy with the way it turned out.$2,654.92
