And in this industry strong computers are needed to carry out rendering and processing the animation. So I thought why settle for buying the whole computer set up when I can pool my resources and put together on of the most powerful computers in the market. I took inspiration from performance over presentation, I took the strongest parts in the market I could afford and had them put together into The Monolith. It may not be eye candy but it’s sure as heck is powerfull

I primarily wanted my desktop to take up as small a space as possible and found building out of the NR200 case to be very satisfying. 7900 XT plays anything thrown at it - blew through Starfield at max settings. Highly recommend undervolting the GPU to save thermals. A less power hungry CPU would be even better to reduce heat. As much as I like the SFX-L Asus Loki PSU I chose, I recommend an SFX to gain GPU clearance. Highly advise against an ATX PSU as airflow becomes very difficult to manage. I would also recommend a shorter cooler than the Noctua NH-D15 as I had to force the mesh side panel closed.

Since I share the room with someone else, I used all noctua fans (excluding the gpu) to minimize noise. I also wanted a natural, minimalist look so I went with a modern looking case from Fractal.
