Since this was my 1st ever PC I went all out & with my cousins help, put all this together. So far it’s been quite the experience. First the picture quality is RIDICULOUS! I’ve personally never experienced gaming with this level of quality. The games I started with were games I bought on sale from steam which included Doom Eternal, Halo Master Chief edition, Blasphemous, Resident Evil 2, & Metro Exodus all which I’ve never played. Since Ghost of Tsushima came out I’ve made 3 YouTube video Walkthroughs so far. Editing is something I really want to do so I’ve been trying to record for the sole purpose of getting comfortable in front of the camera & working through the editing software. My imagination wants to run but my skills aren’t there to match right now but one day. I’m Ivan Estrada in YouTube if anyone wants to look. Thanks for reading!

Wanted to build a PC for years and finally decided to do it after my laptop GPU became no longer supported with updates. It was pretty old anyway. So I tried to play Call of duty Warzone and I couldn't then I decided to try another game called Star Citizen and my laptop wasn't able to run it so that was it, it's time to upgrade. I upgraded to play Star Citizen mainly. I still haven't tried Warzone yet. So glad I did upgrade I had no idea game graphics have come so far. I use to play Fortnite a lot on the step above the bottom lowest settings and when I tried it out with the RTX2080 super and everything was maxed out my jaw dropped. It was like I was playing an animated movie. I had no idea what I was missing I had no idea games could look that good. I was amazed. So now I mostly play Star Citizen getting 30k'd and stuck with bugs now lol. It's in Alpha I just found out about it in June 2020, its been in alpha for what 10 years I think lol. I had it on ultra settings but high settings are just as good I don't really need it that crisp. I'm happy with my build I did it all my self and it booted up the first time and has been running smoothly ever since. It's in my basement on carpet and it has already gathered some dust so I'm not sure about my location. I will have it for many years to come probably 10 years maybe.

Red Storm is built on a Gigabyte Z390 Xtreme board with an Intel i9-9900K CPU, 32gig of Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB RAM (3600MHz); 5 Samsung SSD's (2 NVMe, 3 SATA), an AMD Radeon VII GPU. For the OS, I’m running the latest 64-bit version of Windows 10 Pro, ver. 2004, build 19041.388. My Monitor is a 24-inch NEC wide gamut monitor @ 1920 x 1200. I tend to organize my files/media by drives so I use a 512gig NVME 970 Pro for my OS drive, a 1TB 970 Pro NVME for my finalized photos/work images. A 2TB 960 EVO for games, 1TB 860 EVO for music files, and 2 TB 860 EVO for on-site minor backups. This is a multimedia build used for photo editing via Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, gaming (Division 2, Metro Exodus, Skyrim), audio rips (dBpoweramp), music streaming (Plex, JRiver Media Center), and school/work (Office 365). While the system is capable of overclocks of 5.1gig, I keep it at base settings (XMP enabled) to not only insure stability, but quietness. It’s is housed in a Cooler Master H500M (mesh front) case, which has 3 case fans – a real Corsair 140mm ML (Magnetic Levitation) RGB fan, two front stock Cooler Master 200mm LED fans. The CPU cooler is a Corsair H115i Pro RGB platinum AIO with two stock 140mm ML RGB fans. The 1000-watt EVGA power supply has an Eco mode that prevents the fan from running unless the power supply is pushed. And the AMD Radeon VII (16gig of HBM VRAM) has 3 stock 75mm fans that constantly run but are silent unless pushed as in gaming (Example Division 2). The end result is an incredibly quiet build that keeps temps at bay (idle 30, loads 78ish while gaming). My room ambient temps average 76F/25C (78 summer, 74ish winter) Also connected to the PC is a Teac UD-503 USB DAC which has inputs for USB, Analogue, and Digital. I USB for clean musical sounds, and the motherboard’s built in ESS Sabre HiFi DAC (using Realtek drivers) for gaming or YouTube. I'm really happy with this build :)

My last computer build got me through many years of use, but it was outdated and really struggled handling newer games. I figured it was time to build something new and so I picked out a build that meets all of my long term requirements. I wanted something that would allow me to play the newest games while simultaneously running a couple Linux virtual machines in the background, with enough room to build out other VM's for lab testing if necessary. My only issue meeting those requirements was my budget, but the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X CPU and Radeon RX 5700 XT NITRO+ graphics card allowed me to stay within budget and get the performance I was looking for. To put it all together I went with the Fractal Design Define R6 computer tower. While not the flashiest of designs, it's well built, and makes for a rather quiet computer, all while giving me enough room to upgrade as necessary. I quickly see my usage of the computer growing, so in the near future, I plan on doubling my RAM and replacing the stock CPU cooler with an AIO.

It was beyond time to upgrade my computer so I decided to go with a pc build that served all of the purposes that I need it for. I run a lot of photo editing software (photoshop, lightroom, etc). However, I also love to game. There is nothing that I have thrown at this build that it couldn't handle! I am running AMD Ryzen 9 and a MSI 2080 super graphics card. Plus, it literally looks like a unicorn puked all over it :)

As far as games, I play World of Warcraft and numerous games on Steam. Games range from 8 bit retro throwbacks to more popular games like the XCOM series, Company of Heroes 2, Civilization VI and Total War: Three Kingdoms. With 3D design, I wanted to get more into this because of my hobby of woodworking and making things. I've done everything from small handheld carvings to furniture like bookcases and coffee tables. I wanted to be able to use SketchUp and have a good platform for learning Fusion 360.

I originally built this computer when I was 12, with an FX 8350 and GTX 950. Over the years though it’s been through many changes as my interest grew. The first real upgrade was to a GTX 1060 for VR, then I got a Ryzen 7 1700 when Zen launched, and when mining exploded I got in early enough with my modest little machine to buy a 1070. Between those mining Etherium I saved up enough to sell those and get a EVGA 1080 TI Hybrid. I then traded my dad for one of his MSI Armour 1080 TI he had after mining died (since he was one of the weirdos who bought 10 graphics cards for it) and a small Corsair AIO since it seemed to be a better overclocker than my hybrid. That’s actually still the card I have today (yes the list says 2070 super it’s just the closest thing to it). Then when Zen 2 came out, I showed up on launch day and got me a 3700x. As luck would have it my motherboard didn’t get the bios update so I had to get a new one, and at the time the cheapest one with a post code read out was the behemoth of a board that is the Crosshair VIII. It wasn’t a wise purchasing decision if I’m being honest but I love the board nonetheless (even if the overclocking buttons don’t work as advertised). The reason I put this build here as new, is because one, I’ve never posted it before, and two, I just rebuilt the entire thing in an 011 Dynamic with custom water cooling. Another enormous waste of money, but one I love nonetheless. I think the theme here is to have fun with the computer not on the computer. With the new loop, and the 20$ gpu block, t-die is 40 degrees in time spy extreme fully overclocked. I now hold the world record in my hardware config (aside from a guy who somehow hacked 3D mark and is 2000 points above stock at stock clocks). Other than the cooling though, I also modified the current sense circuit for the 2 8 pin pcie power connectors by piggybacking some 8 miliohm resistors on top of the existing ones. This means under full load the card thinks it’s only using 80% of its (already modded through vbios) 120% Limit, stopping gpu boost from hitting power or thermal limits ever. I love this thing and I can’t wait to play with Zen 3 when it comes out, a unified ccd is going to be a whole new adventure to tinker with. A couple of notes before I go though, my TIM is not liquid metal, it’s Kryonaut, Cunductonaut was just the closest thing in stock. Additionally I don’t have the gigabyte SSD, I have a Sabrant Rocket that I got for way cheaper and actually has 50000 iops on the one in the build list. Lastly, the RGB on the fans is from Phanteks Halos that microcenter also doesn’t sell, but turns the beastly Vardar fans into something with really good rgb (the EK rgb Vardars only have one set of leds that aren’t individually addressable).
