Spare Parts 1080p Gaming PC

by NotaMacUser Posted on: 2/9/2023

Build Description

This PC was made with some leftover parts that I got from other projects. It turned out looking pretty good thanks to some open box parts from Microcenter like the Lian Li Lancool 205m (now discontinued in favor of the 205m mesh) and a 120mm RGB fan from Coolermaster.

Performs well in games at 1080p and I was able to overclock the Ryzen 5 1600 to 4.1/4.2 Ghz as well as boost the memory clock on the EVGA RTX 3060 by about 200/250mhz.
Thanks to this I was able to get a legendary score in 3dmark firestrike for this CPU+GPU pairing.
I ultimately sold this build but it turned out quite well for under $700.
