Reasonably Priced Black Gaming PC
by Karl J Posted on: 1/27/2023Build Description
This is an upgraded build made from the bones of my first gaming PC after UPS played soccer with it. I play mostly less intensive games, but when I do play the more graphically intense AAA titles, it runs them perfectly, usually at ultra settings.
Favorite Feature
I know it's usually a pretty overlooked component, but I'm really happy with the motherboard I'm using, because it has built-in WiFi and two M.2 slots with heat sinks, one of them PCIe 4.0, so you can drop in a nice and speedy boot drive and an extra one that's still pretty fast for excess storage or another OS.
AMD Ryzen 5 5600G Cezanne 3.9GHz 6-Core AM4 Boxed Processor - Wraith Stealth Cooler Included

$119.99
I think this is a great deal right now for gaming PCs. Included cooler is sufficient, but an upgrade certainly wouldn't hurt.

MSI X570S MAG TOMAHAWK MAX WiFi AMD AM4 ATX Motherboard

$229.99
Dual M.2 slots and built-in WiFi are great to have.

MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ventus 2x Overclocked Dual-Fan 12GB GDDR6 PCIe 4.0 Graphics Card
Qty: 1
$369.99
RX 6700 XT is probably the better deal in this price range right now, but the 3060 is still pretty solid value.

$41.99

NZXT H510 Black

This case is solid, but I think you can definitely get better for the price. It only comes with two fans, in sub-optimal positions.

EVGA SuperNOVA 650 GT

750W might be worthwhile if you're looking for substantial upgradability.

Crucial P5 Plus 2TB M.2 NVMe

$162.00
Good drive for a good price if you need a good bit of storage

XPG SX6000 Pro 512GB

$78.74
This drive isn't really worth the price, but it was what was cheap when I did my first build, so I have it installed as a secondary drive.
