Before deciding to update to a better pc, I needed to figure out what to do with my first gaming computer. I transformed it to a dedicated server hosting machine that utilizes TrueNas and virtualization to deliver on my video game server hosting needs. With this simple setup, I can host Rust, Mincraft, and many other servers. Although my GPU is not utilized, I still have it attached in case I want to utilize it for rendering gameplay videos remotely.$1,404.96 -

I originally built this pc just for the sole purpose of having a challenge. I have never been a pc before this one I've only ever used MacBooks through high school and college. I wanted to actually turn this into a hakintosh but once is was finished I kinda fell in love with it as it is! I use it for daily computing, research, the occasional gaming (GTA5, fortnite, cod) and music library organization. I dj most every Friday and Saturday night using a MacBook Pro as my go to gig computer, this workstation is perfect for staying at home containing most of my music library. I plan on upgrading the gpu and cpu down the road but for now this works way better than I planned on originally. I have a massive amount of storage for how small this thing is and plan to add more. total I would like 6-8 TB.$1,652.94 -

I had it for about 4 years, and did the best I could to upgrade it. After years of suffering through ungodly slow daily use, I finally became old enough to get a job. I worked all summer long and saved enough money that I could buy the computer and only spend half of the money I had saved. I decided that I would go all out, in the hopes that this build would last me a long time. I went with, at the time, all the latest and greatest parts that I could buy, without spending so much that I am approaching the point of diminishing returns. And so the Space Heater was born, it keeps me warm during winters and makes me sweat during the summer. Gaming aside, the quality of life of being able to restart your computer in under a minute, not have to wait for 45 minutes to render a single frame in blender, and to just play any game I want without having to think about whether or not I can run it has been absolutely life changing.$1,730.94 -

Hello i built this pc from gaming to watching movies to a workstation for college. Did my research on some builds, was looking to spend a little over 1k. For the processor I slapped in a i5 9600k, paired it up with a RTX 2060 from MSI. For ram i went with the 8x2 3000 mhz Gskill Trident x RGB, and for my storage i recently upgraded from a ssd to a Crucial nvme m.2 1tb for alittle over 100 which was a STEAL ! For the motherboard i went with a simple Gygabyte z390 UD and for my case I went with a Corsair iCUE 220T, and a simple Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB. By just reading the specs, its a pretty good gaming rig for playing games like COD, Fortnite, Valorant, Beam-Ng, Minecraft you name it. Peripherals wise, I haven't done much upgrading since they are still holding up. For my mouse I have a Razer Death adder Chroma which is a couple of years old, for my keyboard im rocking a Razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2016 edition NON-rgb which sucks. For my mouse pad I also rock a Razer Goliathus Extended Chroma gaming mousepad which I purchased not that long ago. Cant forget the speakers, i rock the Klipsch Promedia 2.1's. They are hella crispy, i have them mounted on my desk in a way that they look like they are floating ! I'm still rocking a Blue Snowball which i have not let go ever since i started youtube videos ( 10k subs :) ). My monitor which I just got a few days ago, I dont regret buying it all. Its an MSI Optix g32 Series. I picked it up because of the price, size as well as refresh rate ! I was rocking a 27 incher which I sold to upgrade and I dont regret selling it at all ( Well kinda since it was my first gaming monitor). I dont think anyone cares about this part ,but I also purchased a steering wheel ( Ferrari Racing WHeel Red Legend Edition )with pedals for a more realistic driving experience when i hop on Beam-NG Drive. If you haven't tried it out, you are missing OUT ! This concludes my whole setup, everything i've on my list i have purchased by self with my earnings and I dont regret spending it ! Thank you for reading my post :)$1,923.85 -

I built this early to mid 2020, but I am submitting this now to get a 25 off for my next build at microcenter! (I plan on making a portable mini-itx ryzen 5000 pc next). I tried to make a really practical PC for everyday use and for FL Studio music production, and some gaming as well. I got pretty much everything from Micro Center, except for the case and the cpu cooler. I also got a thunderbolt pcie card to add some more ports and to future proof me in terms of connectivity. (Some of these prices have changed, and I used some old parts and coupons/gift cards here and there. The final price was maybe 3 or 4 hundred less). This has an intel 9900k processor that I got after 10th gen came out, so I got a good deal. It also has a gigabyte 3070 gpu to match the board, and a western digital black 1tb for the boot drive. Later on, I also got a 4tb hdd to add some storage. I also got 2X 16gb 3200 of g. skill RGB ram, and I don't think I will be adding more anytime soon. The built in bluetooth and wifi on my aorus z390 board is great. All my BIOS are on the latest version, and I am on the latest build of windows 10 (I have no desire to ever go to windows 11, honestly). The system has been rock solid stable overall, except for some blue screens caused by Epson printer software.$2,129.94 -
