I had an (probably 10 years) old computer that I built and have been using it daily ever since. At two separate points throughout it's lifecycle, I made two massive upgrades - 1) going from an HDD boot drive to an SSD, and 2) upgrading the video card from one that was mid-range at the time of installation to a modern mid-range card. The video card upgrade was probably 3-4 years ago. Now that I am permanently remote in my day job, I get to spend an enormous amount of time on sitting at my computer. With new lines of CPUs having just been released, I figured now was as good of time as any to do a full, much-needed rebuild of my daily PC. I work on my computer for the full day, every day, and work on side projects (web development, writing, etc.) in the evenings. I do some gaming, but haven't really had a capable machine to really enjoy it in many years. With that, I am many years behind on PC games, so I don't need to play the latest and greatest. With that, and a budget, in mind, I built the whole system from the ground up, but decided to reuse the existing video card. GPU prices are ever-so-slightly beginning to come down, so I thought I'd wait a bit to buy one while catching up on the past 6-8 years of games I haven't been able to play.$869.93 -

I built this PC so I can edit 4K videos in Davinci Resolve. My youtube channel is RGZ Content Productions. I also started playing Apex Legends and am new to PC gaming. I was able to get the bundle with the Intel i7 12700k, MSI Pro Z690-A Wifi DDR4 motherboard, and the 16GB of ram. I upgraded the ram to the T Force Vulcan Z 64 GB(4x16GB sticks) 3200MHz CL16. I was running it with a GTX 1660 Super that I got from purchasing a refurbished Optiplex 7050. After a couple of weeks I went back to your Tustin store and was able to pick up the Zotac Gaming RTX 4060 Solo. That has tremendously cut my rendering time and made it so I can edit 4K videos now. after watching several videos from other youtubers who go to your store to build gaming pc's, Ive since added more RGB lights and got custom white PCIE cables along with 24 pin and 8 pin power cables for the motherboard.$921.60 -

I built this because I wanted a good match for a Asus 27" monitor that I love. It's only 1080p but goes up to 144hz refresh rate. The game I'm primarily still playing Overwatch (2, even though 1 was better). I also realized that it was a good time to buy because the prices of the SSD storage and DDR4 ram were much lower than when I looked at them 6-9 months ago. I first tried using the Intel cooler that came in the box with the 13400 cpu. Ultimately, this cooler was too loud (at startup especially) so I scrapped it and put a larger air cooler that is marketed as extremely quiet. Now I think the loudest fans in the system are the two fans on my video card. And that's okay because those only run during gaming sessions.$927.93 -

This was all new parts bought from MicroCenter with the exception of the GPU - bought second hand from Facebook Marketplace for $270. The laptop I used during my school years could only handle games such as CS:GO and Osu. With this pc I hope to play more demanding games such as Cyberpunk as well as some photo and video editing. I was able to get this system around the $1000 mark due to the 12900k bundle that Micro Center offered. I didn't include an ssd in the parts list because I pulled it from my laptop. After months of research, tons of Youtube videos, and changing my mind countless times I finally pulled the trigger on my first and definitely not last pc build! I always saw people with these super clean builds and I never thought it would be possible for me but PATIENCE IS KEY! This thing is a beast! I really only play high FPS competitive shooter games and of course I could have spent more money but i wanted to stay under a budget of 1200 AFTER TAX but also be super clean with a mostly all white theme. This PC was built as a specific stand-alone platform for encoding high definition videos and interfacing with a large storage pool NAS. Many of the encoded videos specifically use the Intel Quick Sync feature of the Core i7-13700K CPU. Raw video footage is pulled directly from the NAS, encoded, and re-uploaded (hence the 1TB WD Black SN770 NVME SSD being the only local storage needed). I chose the i7-13700K over the i9 models as the Quick Sync capabilities are identical. Sometimes CPU encoding is done for specific reasons. I find the 13700K adequate for that as well (although the power consumption is notably higher, the AIO keeps things silent). The power supply is quite large and also contributes to near silent operation. Overall, an excellent machine that should provide many years of service!$1,027.90 -

First, I was in the process of shopping for expanded storage for my current-gen xbox console. This was really frustrating because the proprietary format expansion cards the console must use are really expensive, especially compared to how prices have really fallen for pc storage devices (both sata and m.2 pci-e drives). The second instance that really sparked this build was seeing a RTX 3060 Ti graphics card at a really good price at Microcenter. With those two factors combined, I was ready to drop by plans of buying expensive console storage and just make my own DIY console.$1,129.91 -

When I saw this sale, I knew I had to jump at the chance to make a new pc build. I made this build with a strict budget in mind, but I also wanted to ensure that I purchased parts that will last for at least the next 2 years.
