The purpose of this rig is for gaming, the CPU and GPU was slightly overclocked due to the low temperatures after the custom loop and the water cooling, the CPU and GPU together sit at about 40c whereas prior to the custom loop the CPU was at about 50c and GPU at about 84c under stress. The first build was a non water cooling build over 12 years ago with the first i7 processor line that came out. I originally had an i7 860 which ran me into this build since the CPU was old.$5,110.26 -

Haven't had a capable gaming pc in over 10 years and haven't actually built systems in over 20 years (my bro and I used to as teenagers). When my wife gave birth to our second son and we got a nice tax refund, my wife gave me the all-clear to get myself a new system. Bought a prebuilt at first but due to problems with the system and poor customer service, I returned it and got to researching my own build. The system started off on a Gigabyte board and NZXT case, but after more problems with certain parts, I ended up with an almost completely Corsair build. Out of all of the customer service issues I had to deal with, they are simply the best: no hassle, no run around, just fast RMA. As for the system, I use it to play mostly single player RPGs or FPS games. I love the Metro series, Divinity games, The Witcher games, Resident Evil, BattleTech and MechWarrior, Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Deus Ex, and so many others. Recently I played most of the latest games with real time ray traced effects and I'm eagerly anticipating where the technology is heading. Really looking forward to a couple of other games that will feature the technology in Cyberpunk 2077 and Vampire Bloodlines 2. Also really looking forward to Baldur's Gate 3. Currently enjoying Season 2 of The Division 2 with my brother, and really hoping that the next Control DLC will feature Alan Wake as many expect it to be! In the future, I hope to install a hard line custom loop, likely in the Hydro X series since I already have a Commander Pro and have already installed a soft tube Hydro X loop for a friend. Sadly, I can't find a water block for my card (they appear to be EOL both at EVGA and EKWB - Corsair doesn't make one for my model), so if I want to go custom loop, I'll probably have to get a new card. Otherwise, I don't really plan any other upgrades until I replace the system maybe in five years, especially since Z390 is also the end for upgrades.$4,927.85 -

I have a wide range of games I play, some as simple as Garry's Mod all the way to something unplayable without a ridiculous PC like Star Citizen. Only thing I'd change is the case, no room for a large modular PSU and the drive tray at the same time so for the time being I've ditched the HDD's and am running on only the two M.2 SSD's. I'm planning out another build for a buddy of mine which will essentially be a more polished version of my original with the changes I would've made, going with a Fractal Design Meshify S2 for that one.$4,574.84 -

I built this system to because I built one for a buddy of mine and had too much fun doing it so i decided to build one of my own. Micro Center in Columbus Ohio did the hard line tubes for me. I wish I would've waited to get an AMD to drop the 3000 series of CPUs. The only things I didn't list where my Ducky One 2 Mini, and the custom cables from CableMod and Dream Cables. I have a 2080 Super listed but I only have a 2080 Founders, and a the block from Corsair listed is for a 2080ti but its the standard 2080 block.$3,859.75 -

I had an older desktop that ran an i5 and the GTX1060 with a standard monitor. With this build, I wanted to upgrade more on the internal parts as well as my monitor to give myself a great computer that would run everything I needed. However, I did not upgrade the CPU to a high-end processor or the video card as I built it around a budget as well as what would satisfy my needs. However, my upgrade itch did cause me to expand from one regular monitor to three 27” MSI curved gaming monitors. In addition, since it was a gaming machine, I wanted to add some flair with RGB, so I did incorporate that into the build. Currently, I am using it to play World of Warcraft, Skyrim, PUBG and Star Citizen (Beta). So far, this machine has run everything I have thrown at it and has met every expectation I wanted.$3,678.98 -

This is the 3rd iteration ( still being built actually ) of the "Game Room". This station will focus on "player 1" as we have 3 in the room. The purpose it to achieve all aspects of what you need to work, and Game with friends. Player 1 is built to playing Apex Legends, and doing remote work for the office. Specs: Custom Hard Tube Water cooling, Core I7 9700k with Thermaltake water block, 16GB Corsair RGB Pro, Asus 850 Watt PSU, Asus Strix 1080Ti with Thermaltake Waterblock, Asus 32 inch curved 1440 144hz screen, 2x AOC 144hz 27 inch curved screens. Apple MacBook Pro 16 ( 32gb, core i9 8 core, 2TB ) connected to Razer Core X Chroma for screen output. Custom Desk. Things to do... waiting for the 3 series of Nvidia, So any winnings would go there but the room also isn't done yet so lots left to do. Build Process: Custom Hard tubing is a fun thing to learn. Ive redone the tubing about 5 times now getting better with each iteration (Most recently changed yesterday with the adding of the Asus power supply and reworking of tubes for "neater" bends. The whole room is taking about 2 months to complete so far. It should be done in about 2 more weeks ( So far we are on week 6 )$3,623.87 -

A third purpose was to build a Desktop powerful enough to indulge in other things such as 3D modelling/rendering or photo and video editing. I have spent hours at this build playing AAA titles like; The Witcher 3, DOOM, Ghostwire Tokyo, Kena Bridge of Spirits, Assassins Creed Odyssey and too many others to remember at the top of my head. Spent countless more hours on e-sports titles like League Of Legends, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Overwatch, Call of Duty Warzone and whatever else interests me in this category. It has been a few years since I built it, really had fun with it, but I think that now it is time to upgrade.$3,606.94 -

The main use for this rig will Freelance UX/UI Design with a little bit of gaming as well. I've been a Mac user for 15 years and only used PC off and on to casually game. Now that I work-from-home almost exclusively and 2012 was the last time you could buy an upgradable Macbook Pro, I've decided to jump ship and move to something I can actually upgradable and more powerful. I'm very pleased with this setup, it has lots of power, memory, and storage. I am able to have tons of design applications and browser windows open with no performance issues. Now I just need to get used to Window's CTRL vs Mac's CMD which is in the same spot as ALT. The first day using this for my design work I hit ALT+Z about 400 times which brings up Geforce Experience overlay. LOL I built this computer using Micro Center's Custom PC Builder, reserved my parts online, and picked up my parts hours later. Pretty cool being able to put together a complete build and pick up your parts the same day. The Custom PC Builder has compatibility filters so it only shows parts that will work together based on your selections. Although build this computer myself because I really enjoy the building process. For a small fee, Micro Center offers a building service which they will put together the hardware, and make sure it posts. For a bit extra cost they can even install Windows, appropriate drivers, and make sure it's up and running before you pick it up. You could literally pick out your parts on a lunch break and pick up a working computer after work, they just need a 4-hour window to build it.$3,227.88 -

This computer laughs at every triple A game and completes most tasks with a breeze. Not only is this computer a powerhouse but it has the lights to match it. 5 full RGB fans, along with 4 RGB strips, a RGB CPU cooler and RGB ram, how much more can you ask for. Also don't forget the motherboard and GPU have customizable lighting as well. With software like Icue, you can change the lighting however you want. This rig with an i9-9900k and an ASUS ROG Strix 2080ti, this computer doesn't have many rivals. You could perform the most demanding tasks for days and the computer would never lose an inch of speed. This rig can do almost anything and allow a user to accomplish all his tasks with ease. This is a dream build for any one.$3,169.88
