This build is primarily for gaming but I do dabble a bit in content creation. I also do a steady amount of work from home here. For work I rent the cameras that shoot most major motion pictures and TV Shows. I am based in Los Angeles California. This is what I would consider revision #6 of my entire setup spanning from ~2011 to present day. Is a build ever really complete?$11,333.57 -

I've been building computers since college, and my setup completely exploded during quarantine throughout the pandemic. I expanded to four monitors (one 4k and three 1440p), surround sound, Ryzen, a 3080ti, a home built IKEA desk, and an NZXT H510 Flow. The rig is for everything: gaming, graphic design/Photoshop, home theater, work-from-home station, and web browsing. My most recent additions are the LG 4k monitor, the EVGA 3080 ti, and the H510 Flow.$6,005.84 -

Usually people use GPUs for deep learning, but in our case we have a simulation environment that runs entirely on the CPU and it turns out training the model on CPU is faster as it helps avoid copying data back and forth between the main memory and the GPU's memory. The 16 cores on the 5950X allowed me to easily run 32 processes in parallel, that's a huge upgrade over my old i7-7700k. Training a new model can take almost a week but the AIO cooler keeps the CPU nicely below 80 degrees C. Motherboard PCH temperatures can reach 85 degrees due to lack of air flow but that haven't seem to have caused any problem so far. One thing worth noting is that the Intel 2.5G Ethernet controller on the Asus B550-XE motherboard simply doesn't work on Windows 10 but seems to work fine on Linux. That's not a issue for me as I do all the heavy lifting on Linux, but if you want to run Windows and use a wired network connection, consider getting one of the motherboards that has a Realtek controller.$3,391.89 -

I wanted a machine that could last me more than 5 years, and I am confident that this is the one. This machine build is mainly to get me more power for video editing and production as well as photography. I am starting to explore the world of Steam tho lol. I tried to get this machine ProArt as much as I could get it. Other than the case from NXZT (which is AMAZING) and the RAM, everything in this box is ASUS. I wanted to theme the box out will gold highlight, but I really like the decision to go with white for the case. Everything else I left black and the box looks clean AF. I did add a ThermalRight contact frame to this socket, and it has changed my life!!! Highly recommended. I may have also splurged a little when it came to the AIO with the Ryujin III, but........... The Delorean from Back to the Future looks FANTASTIC on it so it's a keeper.$3,299.89 -

There were multiple reasons why I went forward with building this when I did – one of them being for remote working purposes as I am a Graphic Designer full-time for a company in New York City. I would be lying to you if I said I didn’t have streaming and playing video games on the list of reasons why also! Part of me wishes I went with the EVGA RTX 2080 TI XC Ultra GPU rather than my 2080 Super but I’m not complaining. I know I’ll eventually upgrade to a dual SLI at one point or another but with that, I’ll probably need a bigger computer case and a higher wattage power supply. Also going to get another M.2 SSD for my motherboard since two are compatible. I stream a variety of games Part-Time on Facebook and love interacting with new gamers in the chat!$3,231.85 -

I originally got into computers and electronics as a kid and was always finding ways to play pc games whether it be at the library or on my moms laptop. I eventually got a mini steam machine for Christmas when I was younger and always wanted to build my own. As I got older I saved up the money bought some parts and asked micro center to build it for me because I was afraid of messing it up. Later down the line I said screw it kept buying upgrades and messing with it myself. I've learned so much from it and have built 5 PC's for family/friends. I would have loved to go to school for computers but could never find the right program to suit me. No matter what this PC was built off of a dream of maybe one day being a streamer, making content on Youtube or developing something huge. I have switched from console to pc for the past 4 years and love it. I play console here and there only for exclusives and next gen sports titles. I have streamed here and there and played favorite games with friends my twitch is JAO3M. I love to play single player games like Resident Evil, Batman Arkham, etc. Also multiplayer games like COD, Rainbow, Fortnite, MK, etc. This has been an awesome experience for me and I hope to experience more in the future. Future upgrades coming are i9-13900k CPU, MSI - MPG Z790 EDGE WIFI Motherboard, CORSAIR - VENGEANCE 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz DDR5 C36 RAM, and ASUS TUF Gaming NVIDIA GeForce RTX™ 4070 Ti OC Edition Gaming Graphics Card just waiting on a bracket cooler. Built this on 08/02/2023 for gaming, SPECIFICALLY STARFIELD AND CYBERPUNK. My first personal build in about 12 years. Coming from a i7 3770k/1080, I was getting 30 - 40 fps on medium settings for the most recent AAA games on my old rig. Now I can max everything and still get 100+ fps. Feels good lol. The 7800x3d is awesome and the 4090 is a beast. Running this on a 3440x1440 100hz G-sync monitor, it doesn't break a sweat even when running Cyberpunk 2077 and Hogwarts legacy with full ray tracing. Some of the games I play are Chivalry 2, Counter Strike, Fallout 4, Hogwarts Legacy, Cyberpunk, Elden Ring, Red Dead Redemption, Baldur's Gate 3, and Sid Meier's Pirates. Also STARFIELD. I CAN'T WAIT. JUST 27 MORE DAYS. I bought every single part from Microcenter, except for the 4090 which I got directly from Nvidia, and a few fans and one ssd which I pulled from my old computer.$3,107.90
