Haven't had a capable gaming pc in over 10 years and haven't actually built systems in over 20 years (my bro and I used to as teenagers). When my wife gave birth to our second son and we got a nice tax refund, my wife gave me the all-clear to get myself a new system. Bought a prebuilt at first but due to problems with the system and poor customer service, I returned it and got to researching my own build. The system started off on a Gigabyte board and NZXT case, but after more problems with certain parts, I ended up with an almost completely Corsair build. Out of all of the customer service issues I had to deal with, they are simply the best: no hassle, no run around, just fast RMA. As for the system, I use it to play mostly single player RPGs or FPS games. I love the Metro series, Divinity games, The Witcher games, Resident Evil, BattleTech and MechWarrior, Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Deus Ex, and so many others. Recently I played most of the latest games with real time ray traced effects and I'm eagerly anticipating where the technology is heading. Really looking forward to a couple of other games that will feature the technology in Cyberpunk 2077 and Vampire Bloodlines 2. Also really looking forward to Baldur's Gate 3. Currently enjoying Season 2 of The Division 2 with my brother, and really hoping that the next Control DLC will feature Alan Wake as many expect it to be! In the future, I hope to install a hard line custom loop, likely in the Hydro X series since I already have a Commander Pro and have already installed a soft tube Hydro X loop for a friend. Sadly, I can't find a water block for my card (they appear to be EOL both at EVGA and EKWB - Corsair doesn't make one for my model), so if I want to go custom loop, I'll probably have to get a new card. Otherwise, I don't really plan any other upgrades until I replace the system maybe in five years, especially since Z390 is also the end for upgrades.

Apparently, 11 out of 10 case mods currently are Cyberpunk 2077 themed, so I guess if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Of course, it had to be water cooled, too, and I haven't water cooled a system since the days of cutting your own window in a beige case and milling your own waterblocks. Thankfully, though, The days of shopping the plumbing department of Ace Hardware are a thing of the past, and I can just walk into a store and pay an entire seperate computer's worth of money for premade stuff! Having a 3d printer department in a store that's not located on a starship somewhere in the future was also amazingly helpful, and made the relearning curve of this entire mod bananas. Now I have an entirely new hobby that my wife can yell at me for enjoying. My initial vision was of a custom reservoir with a cyborg floating inside, with blood red fluid running through the tubes, like the sci-fi movie cliche where swimming in goo replaces all hospital beds, but then i realized that this is not my day job, so i improvised and bought a kit. I mean, what's a cyberpunk theme without a bubbling vat of person? The future is also shaped like a hexagon, so I added an aluminum hexagon pattern to the front panel of my case, and partly on top. I added 40 caliber shells with magnets inside, to the back panel for extra awesome. I've been eye-balling the Phanteks Enthoo 719 for some time, because I love full tower cases, and this sucker is a beast. Also, who has 2 thumbs and finally saved up enough money for a 2080 ti 2 months before the 30xx series is released? Oh yeah, this guy! Honestly, the card was worth the long wait, and chugs along maxed out at 4k, at around 37 degrees. Now all that was left was to bleed the system for a week straight, and add a half gallon of water to an improvised vase on the top of my case. This adventure is not for the faint of heart, and gives me nightmares, but the enthoo 719 weighs about as much as a Space X Falcon Heavy, so it should hold. The logo, fan grill, and cylinder base were all printed with a Creality CR-10. The base is just an enlarged fan grill available on Thermaltake's website. Homage paid to Akira and Elysium in the form of exoskeleton spine parts used as a cable cover.

This computer laughs at every triple A game and completes most tasks with a breeze. Not only is this computer a powerhouse but it has the lights to match it. 5 full RGB fans, along with 4 RGB strips, a RGB CPU cooler and RGB ram, how much more can you ask for. Also don't forget the motherboard and GPU have customizable lighting as well. With software like Icue, you can change the lighting however you want. This rig with an i9-9900k and an ASUS ROG Strix 2080ti, this computer doesn't have many rivals. You could perform the most demanding tasks for days and the computer would never lose an inch of speed. This rig can do almost anything and allow a user to accomplish all his tasks with ease. This is a dream build for any one.

First he wanted to get the 570x, but the mix of SP120's and LL120's wouldn't look good. The Red Rebel is my desktop computer, which I use for gaming (I play TABG, HALO MCC, R6, Subnautica, Splitgate, DBD, and DOOM), but during covid, I also used it to attend virtual school, I also use it to 3D print or just do work. I took the idea from Robey Tech's all AMD build, but I decided that I want my case to not show the specific specs for the device, rather I wanted it to just show the AMD architectures so that I can upgrade to different components in the future. I also added 2 acrylic bars to the side rather than the typical vinyl, which adds a bit of pop to the build. I used a 6800 instead of a 3070 because the 3070 I had in the past wasn't too powerful, plus I don't care too much about ray tracing, and the 6800 is better for pure FPS. I used the QL 120s for the best RGB ion fans I could find, and I used the H150i because I could add my own acrylic pannel to the cooler. Also, I would like to add that I don't keep my computer on the floor, this is just where the best lighting and background were. Hope you enjoy the Build

It was time to upgrade and I wanted a computer powerfully enough to easily handle triple-a games, then I found a really unique case. I let this case lay the ground work and located some excellent new hardware, using Cyberpunk 2077's requirements as a guideline for some minimums. During the build I encountered a design flaw in the case, making the graphics card installation very difficult. Had I known about that, I would have found a way to clear the path before mounting the motherboard. I also could have saved on the cable extensions that I bought with the case as they were completely unneeded. I really love unique case designs, I feel like they can make your set up stand out compared to all the standard RGB boxes.

The Inspiration: This is a build based on a wonderful car that I'd like to, and will.. get my hands on.. the Audi RS5 Sportback! I became really excited to model my build after this special car, shortly after the inspiration to merge the RS5's sporty looks with a powerful gaming computer came to me. This was my 3rd build, although the former(s) were built over 10 years ago. I am so happy to get back into building again, and was so proud to build something that could also match the performance of its vehicle counterpart too! As you can see from my list, I went with an Intel i9-9900K (OC 5gz @ 1.29V), to go with an EVGA RTX 2080Ti XC Ultra, and a 32Gb DDR4 ram kit from Corsair. More Details: The choice for the mobo was easy, since MSI is well known for adding carbon fiber accents to their product line.. which happened to match the interior and exterior styling of the high-end performance vehicle my rig is modeled after. In fact, one of my most favorite ideas for this build was to apply some carbon fiber wrap around the cable management bar (Thanks NZXT!), which matches the absolutely stunning inlays from the RS5 interior (go check it out on the Audi website if you'd like). The sporty RS5 logo/emblem was definitely my other favorite feature, which I felt added an extra level of aggressiveness to the interior of the machine. Also, Audi is known for their racing geckos, which represent the stability of Audi's Quattro AWD system (aaand also hopefully represents the stability of my overclock!), which I thought was a nice touch to the build as well. As you can imagine, this rig performs like a dream, and crushes mostly everything at max settings (including Minesweeper for those wondering). All in all, I am really happy with how it turned out, and I hope it inspires other motivated builders and DIY'ers in this PC Gaming community. Gaming is here to stay folks, and is exploding in popularity. Who am I kidding?! I want to build another! AND ANOTHER! Ahhh!! Can anyone else relate? lol.
